Hello Dr. Shusterman. Watching from Ontario Canada. Thank you for answering questions. A plant-based diet and walking helped me lose 120 pounds, reverse my Type 2 diabetes, reduce my cholesterol and my blood pressure. My Cardiologist told me I have a healthy heart and I want to keep it that way. THANK YOU for taking time out of your VERY BUSY work schedule providing your viewing audience with information in helping us stay healthy. Health is wealth! Take care and stay safe. ✡✡🕊🕊

hello Ontario - that's awesome - did you track macros?

@@kat2878 Dear Kat: At first when I started my weight loss, I tracked Calories, Fat, Carbohydrates, Sodium and amount of exercise done on a daily basis. I ALWAYS read the Nutrition Facts label and cook with no added salt. I will say that changing bad eating habits was difficult, but I didn't have much of a choice. My health was deteriorating with very poor eating habits. Now, when I look back, HEALTHY weight loss and exercising is ALL worth it. Thank you for your kind words, Kat. 😊😊

Hello, Doc. Thanks for this video. I am a CKD 3-A patient but I have no diabetes or high blood pressure. However, my WBC, RBC, and HGB are low. I will have my blood work done next month. Hopefully, I can see improvement then. I took some iron supplements and dizziness meds as prescribed by my nephrologist. Do you have any advice on how I can improve my blood count? I live in Japan.

Sir,Arb or calcium channel blocker which better for kidney?my Acr in urine normal range n no diabetis.creatinine marginally increased like 1.25 n always fluctuating n even coming to borderline normal range sometimes for 3yrs....but one nephrologist prescribed ccb n another Telmisartan(Arbs)..after switching from ccb to arbs my creatinine n protein in urine marginally increased though in reference range or just slight borderline increase n potassium within normal range...what medicine should I continue ccb or arb given that Arbs tend to increase creatinine though said to be beneficial in long run n as I have no diabetics or proteinuria?any safest blood pressure medicine without harm?

I am eGFR 40 and hve got bubbles every time in my urine since this past month? GP says it is 'mechanical' but I don't believer her as it coincides with my eGFR dropping from 48 to 40. I am a lady of 77 and my GP said I hve very bad osteoporosis for my age. I recently cracked my spine lifting something. Been on omeprazole for 25yrs bcse of a hiatial hernia. I asked for a Nutritionist's help but was told it was impossible to see one? I am in the UK. Older people in the UK are being deliberately refused help by the NHS. That is proven. How on this earth do I work out a healthy diet? Dairy products are bad for my kidneys but good for my bones. I am on Ramipril and Atoravastatin. I also hve tree nut allergies. I don't know how to get help. I live alone so hve no one to fight for me.
