Mackerel is so much fun to go after. When they are schooling, it's almost like a non-stop action. I noticed that you were just reeling your line in after casting. Try jigging on your retrieve to give your spoon a little more action. That seem to always work for me. Sad to say, but Mackerel Fishing, at least where I go here in the Northeast (U.S.A.) is just about over. Thanks for sharing!
@leoburleigh2806 leo i was two week ago under the bridge and inget makrill there, the point is normally as far i understand from local people,on the past it was many many makrel close to shore...and always in few hour was a good keeping for all....But now if catch 1 or 2...must say thank you...to many net fishing my dear friends, and they make a good plan with many area conservation, but as far i see as visitors here,is not so well....

Here in the USA we use sabiki for similar fish. The same mackerel you catch are smoked here and are quite good. Good luck and thanks for the videos.
Det kan vara riktigt grymt fiske under bron, har fått riktigt mycket där genom åren 😊

Thanks for the tips! I usually do spin stops but not much jigging. Will try!
Friend so hard we catch mackerel even here on Lysekil, is not anymore as the local people tell me it was before...now they use to much fishing net....
Yes, it's getting harder and harder. It is fished with net here in Sweden and brought to Norway to feed salmon.
It's been 3 years since I've caught a mackerel in Gullmarsfjorden.
So sad to hear. Hope this summer will be different😊
