Cloistered religious, both men and women, offer their lives in prayer and sacrifice for a lost and dying world. It is as far from self-motivated as you can get. Thank you for this lesson. It helped clarify for me the meaning of what Paul wrote in 1:24 - afflictions of Christ - not redemptive sufferings, but ministerial sufferings. Also the meaning of the words in 2:6 - have received - meaning doctrines regarding the person and the work of Jesus Christ. I continue to pray for blessings on the translation work of Enduring Word.
