KNIGHT TIME or “Roxy’s Way Too Thirsty Out Here” or “Everyone In Gotham’s An Idiot Except For The Bat-Family” What would the Gotham Experience be exactly? Always living in fear and constantly looking over your shoulder at night whether you’re an innocent person trying to get home and avoiding crooks or a crook committing a crime and trying to avoid Batman. The concept of Superman disguising himself as Batman is an interesting one. His typical bursts of super strength and speed while in the Batsuit have some funny implications as it makes Batsy’s rouge’s gallery even more afraid of him than usual. Once Superman mentioned nanites, I knew it was Brainiac. I just wish he had figured that out sooner. Oh well. Not a whole lot else for me to say, but I think this is an alright episode, I enjoyed it overall. Boss Biggust bear hugs to the number one podcast hosts in this here multiverse of ours: Jack Jack I Want My Snack and Belligerence. Praise to our lord and savior Dylan Pollack (keep up the great work on your own podcast and remember to tell Gab that she rules)! Likewise of course to all of his loyal disciples: Skarloey1, Batgirl Fangirl, Scotty Cameron, WENCY209, TipTapricot, Keen Machine, Jordan Newman, Zane Beatty, Kris Knife, LaNolaCola, Juan Pedro, Ashley Tuchin, Scrudge, the Banana family, Hex Lex, Eric LeBeau, the Banana Man-Bat, Austin Trousers, Slacks Payne, Ryan Hipp, Peter Pantaloons, Nick Sorenson, Kyle the Kyle, and of course ALL the awesome-sauce listeners of this yoppie community of ours. You all are the absolute best, don’t you ever forget that. Speaking of pretending to be other people, I’m afraid I have to confess something. Last week, there was a tease that there’s a Banana Marc somewhere out there and that I’d have to find him. Well, I did. And it led to a shocking discovery. On the outskirts of my hometown, there’s an abandoned building that used to be a milk bottling plant. I had never ventured inside it up until last week, but when I went in there, I found a containment pod. And inside it was a lonely soul under a deep sleep, blissfully unaware of what his situation was, his identity sending a shiver down my spine. The being inside the pod was ME. But what does this mean, you ask? Ohhh, my dear Yoppie community, haven’t you figured it out by now? The answer’s been right in front of you the entire time as it was for me. [Jekyll and Hyde-like transformation] I AM BANANA MARC! AND I AM NOT OKAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!! [lightning strikes] ‘Til next week, BANANA SMOKE BOMB 🍌 💣 💨💨💨 that’ll be blown out by a BANANA OL’ WHOOSH! Are there any timeline clues that point to "Old Wounds" as having to take place in order after "Animal Act"? What if it's an unspoken earlier episode that slots in after "Sins of the Father" but before "You Scratch My Back"? Also, for the old wounds themselves, I see Robin's reason for leaving as all of them stacked up, not just how Batman acted in front of the guy's family. That was the first time Robin had enough but then, from missing the graduation (because of Batman being priority) to Bruce effectively lying to Barabara and Dick so that he could manipulate and aid Batman's mission, it was all too much for Dick. I think he just fundamentally disagrees with the way Bruce treats his partners and it's hinted at in his closing line to Tim in "Sins of the Father". Anyway...thanks for doing the show, guys! I totally get you brushing off people's praise. That just means you're humble, good guys-- but you also really do deserve the compliments. It's been a real treat listening. 🙏 🙂 Have a good one!
Tilts neck upward dramatically “I’m really good at impressions “ - Superman in the voice of Robin probably. I always get excited about the returning appearances of Corey Burton’s Brainiac but the real fun of the episode is Superman getting to interact with Batman’s supporting cast and rogues gallery . Looks like we get a new power for the list today 🎉
Jamie and Brian, the listener has deemed you....WORTHY. If I hadn't listened to every episode already i'd be listening to every episode again right now, damn that past me
Also, heres my pose idea for the next show: Terry is flying and the wagon is now futurized and connected via a cable (physical or energy or some other substance) to his bat belt. The avatars of James and Brian stay the same
Banana-grandpa says "Get off my window ledge; and put some clothes on; Halloween is for children! And I've sent a letter to child protective services about you! Groomer!!!"
I was sitting alone, brooding in my darkened study like Michael Keaton at the beginning of Batman Returns when suddenly Commissioner Brother B. Roderick shone the Ashley signal into the sky. Striking a dramatic pose, I leapt into action. Yeah, we say bummer in Australia. (I'm going to have to start charging a consulting fee or something.) You actually kind of sent me down a rabbit hole because then I was curious about the origin of the word. Weirdly, half the internet seems to want to know if Americans say bummer and the other half want to know if Australians say bummer. I assume that it's American. After nearly a century of capitalist American propaganda infiltrating our media, our lexicon has become an unholy mish-mash of Australian, British and American slang, to the point that the stereotypical Australian cultural identity is all but extinct. Now that the kids are all on the TikToks and the InstaSnaps, we've got no hope. Thanks, guys. But oh yeah, hey, Nightwing episode, woo! As much as I love Nightwing in general, I always hate when we have to weather the initial transition from Robin when he's just an angsty teen rebelling against his dad. At least the DCAU handled it better than the live-action Titans show.
Hey, that's finally the old Robin suit, isn't it? 39:43 be as chalance as you want (thats a Young Justice reference) 1:28:07 ooh, a dead meaf reference. Subbed to that channel while in Montreal this year. Also, the last name is pronounced ja-niece
oi british dylan pollack here with my tea and crumpits, makes as much sense as a biscuit with some earl grey I say. This is a strange comment by me innit.
Geeerreeetings J’ Hamie and B’ Orion! It’s time for us to journey back to STAS in Knight Time (or I’m Clark, Bruce’s Best Friend, All of His Clothes Fit Me.) I love the homage to the golden age idea that Superman and Batman switch costumes for missions and can pass as each other with uncanny accuracy (great for maintaining secret identities.) Tim was really doing a bang up job (almost as reliable as comic Tim) and I really liked Matthew Valencia’s performance in this one. I wonder if the gotham rogues thinking Batman has super strength is really good or really bad for Bruce? And fun side question, what are each of your favorite live action versions of Batman and Superman? Anyhow thanks for doing what you do and rest assured that you are very funny even if you can’t take compliments.
As far as the movies go I'd say Christopher Reeve is still the definitive live-action Superman for me, though that said I always appreciated how much Returns captured the same essence of his portrayal with Brandon Routh when Reeve couldn't play the part anymore, and I still want to see how well I like David Corenswet in the role for the new DCU. Michael Keaton's portrayal of Batman is still one of the most iconic, but I do think Val Kilmer in Forever is pretty underrated and he actually was the first live-action Batman I saw before either of the Burton movies. I still wish we could have had Kilmer in the role for more than just one movie, similar to Routh as Superman.
Hot take. I would take three Torch Song episodes over one Old Wounds episode. I can’t put my finger on it, but I know I don’t enjoy it. It feels contrived or something.

Brian is going to HATE the Riddler redesign. I didn't notice that he was bald until I saw Knight Time.
He's already seen it.
"Knight Time" was really the most that Riddler was even utilized after the redesigns, and ironically it's in a Superman episode.
@@The_Phantasm we see it for a split second in Over The Edge. We see it in full detail in Knight Time.

That’s based. I don’t see a lot of love for Kilmer, but he’s more physically imposing than Keaton. Still my basic ass chose Pattinson. And Reeve.
