    Moved from an Audi A6 3.0TFSI than blew up at 74k miles to this car in white. While different being much less powerful (my a6 was tuned to over 500 hp) I absolutely love my 300h. Might be the best car purchase I have ever made. It's such a pleasure to drive.

    Nice complete & balanced review! Everyone’s driving style and location will make a big difference overall.
    I opted for the Michelin Sport 4S summer tires and Variable adaptive Suspension since I reside in Florida. The handling and ride quality is much sportier, quieter and balanced. I recorded 0-60 in 7.4 sec and average overall 40 mpg! Albeit Florida is fairly flat!

    Just purchased one and will pick it up Saturday! I got this exact one

    Yes, that color and that interior.
    Will pick up a 2 year single owner lease with low miles and no accident history.

    If you compare the ES to new NX which is better in more relax day to day driving and which is more comfortable and about the POV if you have deciding factor between the two especially over the bad roads … thank you for the the review

      Personally I prefer this to the NX because it's a car, not a CUV. However, the NX is more popular.

    I'm all for this car and other "sporty" hybrids. Really interested in the Lexus RX500h, I think that may be quite a fun to drive car while being practical and fuel efficient.

      I'll have a review of the RX500h on Sept 9

    The reluctance of lexus to use turbochargers is a bit problem for me

    8 second 0-60... this weighs 200 more pounds than my SC300 and has 10 less HP, but I'm a whole second faster and 25 years older, no VVT, no fancy nonsense under the hood. I get this is a hybrid, it's not for speed demons, but time itself passing and this being made in (current year) wasnt enough to make this thing any faster?

    • @revmatchtv
      @revmatchtv  2 года назад

      Sure but do you get close to 40 mpg? That’s the mission here. I don’t doubt you can hit 44 if you take it easy.

      @@revmatchtv Boom headshot, you got me there! I get 22 the last I checked the little menu. It's been a good thing I work from home 3 days a week when gas is like $4.15.

    • @revmatchtv
      @revmatchtv  2 года назад +2

      @@the_dietcam The mission in the hybrid is luxury + mpg. If you want performance, the 350 F Sport is going to be quicker and deliver around 28 mpg.

    Seems like kind of a weird car to get a 'sport' badge especially with how fast cars are nowadays

    • @revmatchtv
      @revmatchtv  2 года назад +1

      F Sport in this case is more about a slightly firmer suspension, wheels and some black out trim. It's a lovely car, and I think Lexus is just trying to make a variant for every possible buyer. But no, it's not 'sporty'. It's a great luxe cruiser.

    • @PozzaPizz

      @@revmatchtv looks like a fantastic luxury vehicle but it's much much closer to a prius than to the original concept of the F series. Still a gorgeous and comfortable looking car!

      @@PozzaPizz I expect to see a lot more hybrids from Toyota/Lexus in the next few years. The powertrain is very refined.

      @@revmatchtv how's the cvt? Are they better paired with hybrids? Hopefully it's not a Nissan nightmare

    • @revmatchtv
      @revmatchtv  2 года назад

      The CVT works fine here. It's a simulated auto. It revs a bit, but the car The pretty quiet so you don't really notice it. The powertrain is very refined. Toyota has been doing this for a long time.

      It's based on the Avalon platform which is larger than the Camry.
      It's a stretch on Toyota's TNGA platform.

      Obviously manufacturers do share platforms across vehicles however the difference in quality is significant from the smallest to the largest details. Manufacturers cannot get away with just rebadging as the consumer is too smart. However your comment shows lack of information and understanding.
