A lot of people complain that the Legends trilogy is bad because they use Jrock instead of Eurobeat. Personally I see no problem with this as the song selection is fire. The legends trilogy is different from First stage in that it follows the manga more closely compared to first stage
Shiraishi (白石) is Natsuki Mogi's classmate. She was the one who revealed to Takumi Fujiwara that Natsuki was engaged in an Enjo-Kosai relationship with an old man in a Mercedes-Benz. It is later revealed that the man is her father. She wears glasses and has black hair tied in pigtails.
The Quality of this movie is insane! I would re-react to the entire series again if they did the whole show like this. I would say the original is still better for first watch because the cars and plot is better paced to understand what's happening. I feel this is fire to watch only if you already understand the original plot beforehand. They get in their overdramatic anime bag with this one which makes it a dope spectacle to watch but skips the car explanation part of it. So it feels like a fire celebration & tribute to first stage. It's a 9/10 for sure! Sorry if my mic quality sounds peaky, I accidentally slapped the button on the back when I beat it up lol changing it to 360 mode. See yall in the next one!

The project D guy you were talking about his name is Fumihiro He has always been with Ryosuke, he used to be the organizer for RedSuns before he came to project D You can go back to stage-1, he was the guy in red shirt and black hair
When I rewatch initial D I like watching the actual stage one ( it has usui race too, and the whole iketani thing ) though I liked the movies, I think the original voices, the music changes a lot about the atmosphere and gives me a lot of nostalgia.
The Project D guy (Fumihiro) was always part of Red Suns until it got disbanded/rebranded as Project D. He even did the countdown in the original Takumi vs Keisuke race
Note of advice, the Legend trilogy is based on the manga, so the races order are a little bit different of 1st stage. Anime race list: Keisuke, Nakazato, Shingo, Mako & Sayuki, Kenta and Ryosuke. Legend/Manga race list; Keisuke, Nakazato, Shingo, Ryosuke, Kenta and Mako & Sayuki.

Legends is the start of what I like to call the "hairy cars" era. you see how there's a bunch of lines coming off of the cars and street? it looks like hair to me.
I really like the Akina speed stars and wish they had more to do as they represented the usual guys who just go up to the mountains and drift rather than race. The red suns rolling up to akina kind of feels like a college basketball team on the verge of entering the NBA pulling up to a street pickup game.
Well, when it comes to when to watch more of the movies. I'll say what I said previously, but on my old account (Nothing Here). Watch a new legend movie every month, or two... or three, just as a reminder of how dope the series was.
MF ghost is in the same world, just the future. There are lots of initial D cameos, but you could easily watch it without knowing anything. Really really waiting on the next episodes to come out, i liked it a lot more than i thought i would after reading most of the manga

It is cgi here. They just made it in a way to make it feel like it's 2D by drawing all of those lines on the cars and the way cars are moving which feels like they're low ping as they're moving at 15 FPS instead of the silky smooth 60 FPS like in original series.

The good thing about this is, nobody needs to complain anymore because Battle Digest exists now, so you can enjoy Legends with Eurobeat now.

I love tha J-rock is part of the Legend movies, it's a very nice change of air for Initial D.
These Legend movies were a decent retelling of the storyline. Not as good as the original anime IMO
