FYI there are 6 elk seasons in Colorado. Archery (9/1-9/30 with some otc units but many are draw only) and muzzle loader (9 days usually 3rd week in sept). In October is 1st rifle season (draw only, 5 day season) and 2nd rifle (OTC available in some units, 9 day season). Then in November you have 3rd rifle (7 day season with otc available in some units) and 4th rifle (5 day season, all units draw only). Not counting the late season hunts that run December through January in some units on the winter range.
Your 1st series about Arizona single handedly showed me that a Colorado elk hunt was more possible than it sounded. I’m on season 3 and leave next week for 1st rifle. Thanks so much. Keep up the good work!
i went for my first bear hunt last year in Gunnison Colorado , no bear but best time I've ever had. did see a few elk so definitely trying this year ...the 100 dollar out of state bear tag was too good to pass up!!
I like these type episodes. I plan on doing a 1st rifle elk hunt instead of the OTC so that I won’t have to worry about as much people pressure and it’s at the tail end of the rut. They still might be bugling.
Cute, cute, cute, when the little one popped out of the bag! Love this series!
This is amazing! Loving it.

Great to hear! Best of luck next week in Colorado!
My goodness out of state is so expensive. I take for granted being from Colorado 🙏

Hopefully you show the typical 27 trucks in each trailhead parked in the OTC units!
Only 27 😁
We share all the highs and lows! Give it a watch!
4:53 LOL! You guys are awesome!
The best part pulling the toddler out 😂😂
So jacked for these videos!
Love these series.
Thank you!
Ironically I have that exact same set up. Tikka 7 mag (except left handed) with that Leupold. It's an absolute sub MOA tack driver!
Heck yeah!! Such a great setup!

Best of luck Forrest!
@@onXHunt thank you 🙏🏻 it will be a couple years but still in the plans. I have at least 3 points for elk and mule deer
Good call!! Have fun out there!
@@StevenDrakePhoto thank you 🙏🏻 good luck 🍀 this season. It might be a couple years before I can since my family has other ideas, etc..,
It sucks Canada makes it hard for Americans to hunt in Canada but Canadians can come and go hunting as they please
Okay I’m from texas and asking what does it mean if land is just marked UDI
You can tap on any property in the app and it will bring up the information that is available for that specific piece of land.
This must be last year??
Correct, this hunt was filmed last year.
Was this a hunt from last year?
Yes it was.
The First Season for rifle elk hunting in Colorado this year opens in a little over a week.
Ya but 1st season is not OTC?
WHat was the tarp called?
Dynema tarp from Z Packs! Sitka also makes a good one too!
You could also buy a tarp at Walmart.
@@charlesthomas9045 you sure could! The Dyneema one is just super lightweight. Not much weight consequence to packing that around in your backpack.
