Almost all the moves Firou played after move 7 were critical, only unique moves that could keep the winning chances. He found all these engine moves even the Nxd5, he just couldn't find the rook to h6 maneuver. Alireza referred to this game as one of the best he's played in his career.
"And it was in this position that Levon Aronian resigned the game, as there is nothing more to be done"....... hahahahaha....can never get tired of this line.
Same here. We've got attacking minds I guess. I think the difficulty though is in the calculation of why this move is possible and finding that there's no decent counter. Often I see intuitively interesting flashy moves like this one, but then I miss some counter and I lose very quickly.
Hello everyone... Antonio made a mistake. Magnus didn't resign after moving Bd5. He resigned after Hans moved Ke5. Just a little something to keep in mind to all of us. 😊
videos lately are more complete, integraded, they have lines, computer lines, explanations, endgames for explaining why resign, moves that havent been played etc.
# hej buraz daj napravi epizodu o alireza- hans tekmi. Veliki sam fan. Anton se zovem. Ako bi me mogao pozdraviti u toj epizodi bio bi jako zahvalan. Mozda ti se javim kad dodem u hrvatsku. Pozdrav iz norveske!!
Well !! I have been playing against the italian opening every day for years and I believe Black should not Castle the King Side as The white has always one move earlier to press upon Your pawns. The King gets trapped in the Castle and that Castle comes against The White Bishop, Queen from F3 and Knight as well. So You should be a bit later and Castle on the Queen side against the italian opening 😉
#suggestion : add a timestamp for when endgame starts. lichess defines as 6 pieces except kings and pawns 9:58 here the endgame is a queen and rook endgame.
I prefer to see these 3 hour games in 12 minutes. Thank you Antonio for your contribution to the chess community.
thank you Antonio for your contribution to this channel

Yours is the only remaining RUclips channel that I watch. Love your content and thank you!
You refer to yourself twice in two sentences ... ouch.
@@johnsmith1474 you referred to them twice in one sentence... ouch.
we all have that friend who sacs the knight for two pawns and a pin
No. No we don't
Yes. Yes we do.
I am that friend. Except when I do it. It never really works out this way. When you only calculate for like 3 moves...
I’m that friend
You guys have friends?
To beat Aronian in a classical game is no easy feat at all.
Always appreciate the effort you put in all your videos. I hope you get more subscribers!!!
I really enjoy how well you explain the strategy for non-GM's like me.
Alireza really proves to be the chosen ONE , it was a spectacular nite sac, congratulations to Alireza.
It takes a special talent to do that to Levon Aronian. Super GMs very rarely get taken down like that.

I'm tired of it, it must be you.
Thank you for the video!
The Nxd5 move immediately drew my attention like a magnet. Don't often get the right move, but this seemed very easy.

Same.
Alireza is just sth else, thanks for covering this
Awesome game Ali-Reza...
Thank you!
It's great to learn the name of my most common move...'instant resign'.
These games are just totally cool!
Can someone share link of the video he says is the fiercest hes ever covered? The one he said was the previous video to this one
Very nicely played!!
Chess speaks for itself.
Then why all the analysis in books & vids?
@@johnsmith1474 no

Not going for the strongest move on the move four and still winning.
I bet if it were Niemann offering the pawn on g5 Alireza would not accept it lol
Fantastic win.

I must confess, I was extremely annoyed with seeing Na5. I wish I could unsee it, but I cannot. Damn you Na5!!

What is this? They are both playing in the sinquefield cup and grand chess tour??!!
All of the legends masterpiece are against Levon...now i understand why, it's because of these deadly dares he gives them ..
Takes two to tango
No vid for almost a day, then 2 at once.
Like so many things in life.
Awesome game here! Thanks.
Great 👍
Amazing game
Incredible game
Alireza is nuts when he can play instead of Gucci business😂
That was wild!

if you blink you miss a moment of 64 square analysis
"Well, what are you gonna do?"😂😂 Well I guess, nothing.
What a game
Medo not excited by Alireza's sacrifice
😆😆
I don’t respect Medo. He is a 200 at best

It would be nice if,apart from their ratings, you could put their national flag up as well.
AlgorithmFood!
I doubt a single person here found the nxd5 sacrifice and the reason it works. Alireza got to qf3 but could not get the whole line

Why u pretend like you know better than GM s don't give your alternate moves just review what they played
Then go away and don't watch the video... if you the want the moves played just grab the PGN
How do you not understand that Antonio’s explaining the alternatives *for* those of us who aren’t GMs rather than *to* them?
@@feliscorax cause that's obviously what noobs like u gonna play anyway, so it doesn't have to be explained

Levon is a feminist. Having said that one should still respect his chess... so yeah
