Kawasaki is a long-established brand, and the Ninja 400 engine is reliable, proven, and tested; there is no doubt about that. CFmoto, aren't new players either. They have been around for decades, are known for their ATVs and UTVs, and have a joint venture with Pierer Mobility (which owns KTM). So CF Moto actually manufactures engines for several KTM models, as well as using KTM engines in some of their bikes. In some regions, KTM also supports the dealer network, takes over distribution, and provides parts for CF motos. About the 450SR's reliability, they claim they’ve tested the motor to over 4000 hours of high-revving punishment on the engine dyno and are confident in its reliability. But it's a completely new model with a brand new engine, so in terms of how long it'll last, only time will tell. So if your priorities are reliability, resale value, aftersales service, and looking for learner bikes as a stepping stone before you move up to bigger displacement bikes, the Ninja 400 is your best bet. But if you have the same budget but are looking for more modern bikes (in terms of styling, equipment, and features), don't care about resale value, and are willing to take a risk by buying from a less established brand, you might want to try the 450SR. And for CFMoto riders, please share your experience and your thoughts about your bikes in a comment below. Do you recommend them?
I own a CFMoto, they are very reliable, my bike's engine has NEVER game any problem. I got a few punishment for a component but it was my fault since it was my first bike ever, so I was totally new on taking care of it. Besides that, it has been an awesome bike, reliable, with a hell good looking style, and they steel people's stare. Tires are awesome, design is awesome, it's just taking care of the bike. Other owners that are friends of mine, have the same opinion. Over all the other Chinese market, CFMoto is DEFENITELY worth the try. I tried and the outcome was amazing.

China has more experience manufacturing engines for other companies, they know how and this is why they combined the best manufacturing methods, materials and parts for their own motorcycle...CF Moto all the way!
@@nikolajovanovic8875 mate, the clutch basket is alluminum to almost every bike being sold lol, not just CFmoto. You probably dont shift the bike properly. Nice comparison, thanks! A lot of work that went into creating these details with the graphics and design. Kawasaki will have to upgrade the Ninja 400 to the Ninja 456 now. ;) I remember my Ninja 250Rs were a lot of fun before trading them in, and could handle most basic freeway situations fine, so ultimately, that is what counts the most for the rider. Handling, comfort, reliability on the Ninjas are great IMO. I'm a big Kawasaki fan, but it's good to see more variety for riders.
i saw one of the 450's rolling down the road the other day, it was SO LOUD! and that 270 crank sounded great, it's really so handsome 😍 i'm still a little touchy about reliability for CFmoto, but there's so many here I really can't pretend they're no longer viable.
I also read that they've been sold in Asia long enough (before the US) that they have proven their reliability. We just need more parts-availability and hope our f-ed up government doesn't sanction CFMOTO because it's Chinese.
I know a top rider that utterly abuses a Ninja 400 in the twisties-- 57k hard miles leading fast rides and track etc redlining it all the time lol and the thing just keeps performing well. There's no way CFMoto even if it's decent reliability is going to hit Kawasaki's stone cold reliability. Also more parts/customization for the Kawi. I also can appreciate a Chinese biz making quality bikes and wish for their individual success, but being that I absolutely hate the evil CCP I can't support lol. I hold this same for all products tho and buy "cheaper" everyday products that are made in Vietnam, India or Taiwan over China whenever possible.
I have 2,200 miles on my CF in two months. My turn signals are not self cancelling - only thing I’d say wasn’t accurate in this video. May be a US vs UK spec. Small detail about ergonomics - the seat has a divot towards the front so you’re actually more upright than tucked in, but there is an acute hip angle as states. I get about 60 MPG. The sensors on the bike are great, if I do so much as take the cover off the bike I get an alert. The app is fantastic, you don’t have to do anything for it to track your ride unlike other rider apps. I live in Colorado so I’ve taken it through twisties, mountain passes, highway runs, etc - whatever you’d like to do the bike is more than compliant. Awesome bike

I think my biggest issue with people talking about this bike is when they mention the winglets and how they don't believe they help a small bike. They don't understand winglets or aerodynamics. Winglets on a bike will start contribuitng downforce a the same speed whether its a liter bike or a 250, the engine has nothing to do with it. So yes. They are functional on the bike, and yes, they benefit any bike, although the average rider wouldn't notice a whole lot of difference. You'd see a bigger difference on a track day because your lap times would show the benefits of the extra downforce when it comes to handling, consistent cornering, etc.
lol that misundestanding might be just a you thing, mostly everybody know winglet is about the speed. But, eventhough winglets do have affect on the bike with speed, you do need to realize aerodynamics is HARD. Especially on a bike whyere even the rider contribute to the overal affect of how air move. In motoGP, they spent so much money to cheese out the effect, and it's not simple as you think vroom vroom high speed = down force. The airflow change when the bike is leaning, in corner, the rider move around, turbulance... do you really think, for this price, that this bike winglets really have you gain true meaningful down force !? the facts is yes this bike is nice, but the winglet is surely a cosmetic parts, not the real factor like motogp. It's not simple as oh just put wing 2 sides= better traction, it's a headache and money sink to deal with how airflowing, providing down force, but then have to get rid of unwanted turbulence... What you are saying is true on paper, but that's it, it is imposible to produce bike that for thousands of people with different body and clothes and posture to even worth putting millions of dollars into research and then sell it for a price of 5 grands =)). It is what it is, a cosmetic that maybe have tiny tiny bit of down force, but mostly it will just create unwanted turbulance that has more chances to slow you down than anything. It's ok to have that to looks cool, but that is very naive to think it is anywhere near the level of important and true wing.
I was going to buy the new Ninja 500, these new Chinese manufacturers are taking over, first BYD and now CF Moto, i am sold on the 450sr, bravo CF Moto 🔥
meh, i would still go for the 400 i like the design better/ still prefer the "old" velocimeter/ dont wont to be loud and i couldnt be loud in my country anyway, in general the ninja 400 has the kawazaki agressive sport bike asignature, the sitting position is way better and overall the color schemes available for the 450 are not my taste, therefore ninja 400 ftw!
because of Euro4 regulations, u cannot ride a 2stroke motorcycle anymore in European countries meanwhile u can smoke 2stroke like fogging machine in Philippines
Aside from a classic Ducati like a 998 just for cool factor(and acknowledging ill be wrenching), any serious riding I do is on Japanese bikes because there's literally nothing that can compete in the long term durability and ease of maintenance and I don't think that'll ever change. Can't tell you how many people I know with Aprilia's that have to have constant maintenance work on them-- electronics, leaks you name it -- I don't doubt these CF are "decent" but I'd seriously doubt that they do better than the European brands which all have much more extensive maintenance and shorter mileage lifespans than Japanese.
There is one error the USB port is not included in the CFmoto 450 Sr is an extra accesorie that cost between 40 to 50 dollars the moto just have a plastic cap and the cable ready to be removed and plug the USB port when buy it. About the warranty at least in Czech Republic and Slovakia CFMoto offers 5 years warranty I don't know if it's the same for the rest of the European Union but at least in this 2 countries are offering 5 years wich is quiet impressive. (5 years or 60,000km)
If a major brand had all these features and components in a 400cc category bike would cost almost 10k :D I wouldn't mind getting this to get into sport bikes and maybe learn track riding, but unfortunately no dealership around here. :/
I think I’m afew years once the 450 has become established and people realize it’s a solid bike, and take away the Chinese stereotype for this bike, and parts become available, it will dominate over the ninja 400.
I get way better mileage in my Ninja than that 25 km/l is only 58 MPG. I get closer to 70 MPG. I wonder is the suspension on the CF good enough for serious sport riding / track days out of the box like the Ninja?
Yamaha is playing catch up again and at the bottom of this category. I just hope they replace the R3 with something like an R5 just to beat CFMoto but the challenge will be is the pricing.
If a had a chance i still choose kawasaki n400. Still can match the 450sr on topend. Japan brand has different power output compare to china brand.realtalk. Imagine sr has 50cc more displacement but ninja400 can still match

It's ok to have that to looks cool, but that is very naive to think it is anywhere near the level of important and true wing.
Hello, at the 4:50 mark, you said the 450SS had an Optional adjustable seat, where can I find out more about this? Im not finding anything about it
I was going to buy the new Ninja 500, these new Chinese manufacturers are taking over, first BYD and now CF Moto, i am sold on the 450sr, bravo CF Moto 🔥
meh, i would still go for the 400 i like the design better/ still prefer the "old" velocimeter/ dont wont to be loud and i couldnt be loud in my country anyway, in general the ninja 400 has the kawazaki agressive sport bike asignature, the sitting position is way better and overall the color schemes available for the 450 are not my taste, therefore ninja 400 ftw!
Tough one.....i would probably opt for the Ninja on the parts avaliability alone. But the 450 has a better fork/break setup along with a peaky crank.
Brutal, tremenda moto la CF 450 SR.
Please make a video for CF Moto 450SR Vs Aprilia RS457. 🙏🏻
Is the australian spec the same as the European spec or American Spec?
mine does not come with self canceling turn signals 450ss
Reliability is much more important. And its famous green as well. i'll stick with NINJA. 💚
Interesting how the CFMoto is less restricted on the US while Kawi bikes are the opposite, usually even more restricted.
I though the 450sr here in SEA (Philippines to be exact) is the same as 450ss in the west? CFmoto should have used the same specs for those.
because of Euro4 regulations, u cannot ride a 2stroke motorcycle anymore in European countries meanwhile u can smoke 2stroke like fogging machine in Philippines
I'll always choose a Japanese Bike even though this 450SR is a little bit more powerful
Thats actually still decent, Kawi asks 100+ dollars for their USB accesory and you still have to do a little bit of hardware mounting.
If a major brand had all these features and components in a 400cc category bike would cost almost 10k :D
I wouldn't mind getting this to get into sport bikes and maybe learn track riding, but unfortunately no dealership around here. :/
bro, when aprillia sr440 releases please compare it with the cfmoto 450srs
Kawasaki vs CFmoto in short (Japanese vs Chinese bikes)
So informative.
I think I’m afew years once the 450 has become established and people realize it’s a solid bike, and take away the Chinese stereotype for this bike, and parts become available, it will dominate over the ninja 400.
In France we haven’t the Kawasaki anymore 🥲
Wow. RIP
I just love the green on the ninja
For Ninja 400 Austin Racing❤
For 450 SR Scproject ❤
reverse shift style help for people who often use bajaj bikes😁😁
BTW Ninja 400 can make 65-70 HP with A little mod Tho.
I think you're talking about the zx4rr?
U means zx4rr? Not ninja4
@@izen_ Ninja400 not zx4rr, In thailand we mod ninja400 to 70 HP tho

can i ride this with a 5'4 height?
My local motorcycle dealer sells cfmoto and kawasaki its gonna be real hard decided between these 2 when I get my first bike
it looks so good too
Kawasaki lovehere but the design of cfmoto is amazing
I get way better mileage in my Ninja than that 25 km/l is only 58 MPG. I get closer to 70 MPG. I wonder is the suspension on the CF good enough for serious sport riding / track days out of the box like the Ninja?
do the qj srk400 RR against the ktm 390
Japanese bikes need to level up their game Chinese bikes are becoming popular and a no brainer choice
450SR rocks ❤❤
CF MOTO IS BETTER BY A MILESTONE ❤
450 SR ... Inverted forks!!!! YES!
I just got the ninja 400 because my insurance on the 450 was like twice as much
Yamaha is playing catch up again and at the bottom of this category. I just hope they replace the R3 with something like an R5 just to beat CFMoto but the challenge will be is the pricing.
I'm still going Kawasaki. The Chinese don't have a good track record.
What next? 500cc? 550cc? 600cc? 650cc?
Why cant these manufacturers make the bikes too a racing class?
hi men, jaja i say u, this is a good comparation, tanks for read my email ! jajaja
If a had a chance i still choose kawasaki n400. Still can match the 450sr on topend. Japan brand has different power output compare to china brand.realtalk.
Imagine sr has 50cc more displacement but ninja400 can still match
you're just naive to think you're bang for bucks is better with the ninja 400
Just buy R7 and it will satisfy you.
Not if you want long ride comfort.
@@salskars6637is the ninja good with long ride comfort ?
@@Nene_760 - Absolutely - all day.
I purchased a seat from China that has a bit more padding yet still minimal (no granny seat or expensive Corbin). Got it within weeks after purchasing the N400, so I never road long distances with the stock which is thin. This seat has just enough padding to slightly minimize forward slide/nut crunch (which is not bad to start with).
I have a Honda Interceptor 800 Sport Tourer and the N400 is more comfortable ergonomically -and lighter by 158lbs.
In case anyone is interested, the seat is:

Wrong facts. The 450sr weight is a full tank 179 kg and empty tank weight 168 kg. ninja 400 weight is a empty tank 168 kg and full tank same like a 450sr 179 kg. Sou weight is same both bike.
Who hurt china bro 🙏😭
You guys seen how Ktm tested there 790 engines for days but still look what happened… unreliable lmao
I think the 450SR have 50HP not 47HP
The CF450 has a lot of eye candy features, like many CCP products. At the end of the day kawasaki is definitely a known entity, and like you said resale value..... That's huge, and it's important to respect your money. Personally, I will pass on the eye candy, I want proven reliability and to get some of my money back out of it.
China is still China. cfmoto manual states oil needs to be changed every 3000km, while ninja oil changes in manual are 4 times more - 12000km, there goes your cfmoto reliability.
l hope that cf moto can handle 5000km per year
Zx4rr four cylinder king even in usa flash 72 to 75 rwhp
A knowledgeable rider would know that the zx4rr isn't in the same category as those two. No one in their right mind compares a N650 to a zx6r.
@@deeznutx lol look around seen a bunch.of zx4rr to ninja 400 comparisons. Not sure they are saying equal just comparing the new unknown 400 to a bike most can relate to as they know what ninja 400 is. Just using ninja 400 as a reference point. Honestly comparing a bike should be size and cylinder direct, 400 twin to 400 twin 400 four to 400 four. But see 700 twins like r7 compared to 400 twin, guess it is just contrasting the 2, though in my book silly. Like comparing 1300 hyabusa to 1000 bikes, quite meaning less to me
@@rt2255 I agree with this reply of yours. Yammie noob kinda compares the zx4rr to the n400 but realized that they are not in the same category he also thought to compare it to the r7 and realized the same thing. The zx4rr has its own categ and at the time, it's one of a kind.
Kawasaki is king because they had the balls to bring back small displacement inline 4 screamers.
Zx4rr is different categories ofcourse inline4 are always faster than twin
450 just killed the ninja 400 and r3
Come on man. Gp shift isn't a feature and you can do it to pretty much any bike in about 5 minutes. This isn't a reason to buy or not buy.

the 450sr is $8,000

Kawasaki is pissing themselves laughing in zx400r
You cant compare Chinese bike with Japanese one.
,,Still the KAWASAKI is the best. The CF moto bikes is eye candy but still Made in China.👎🤧
I think CF Moto it’s still behind,I’m not even confidential buying it
With the new RS457 coming out, I think we’ll have a new winner
nah cfmoto cheaper meanwhile Aprillia is insanely expensive
@@jarrolightfeather4703 The price hasn’t even come out, it’s expected to be much cheaper than N400. Also, wouldn’t pick a Chinese made bike over an Indian one anyday
@@adr2567 hahahaha how come much cheaper when it's Aprillia brand 🤣
I've seen alot of Indian bike and most of them weak for me all below 50hp even the fastest sportbike from Bajaj only 200cc
D400 only 170kmh top speed meanwhile Cfmoto 450sr 200kmh
@@jarrolightfeather4703 Because it’ll be made in India, so cheaper for the Indian market. The Indian bikes may not have best top speed granted but the quality is head and shoulders above anything Chinese. Also, Chinese brands keep coming, flipping and leaving a terrible legacy of sales and service.
