Proud to say I am Micronesian from the islands of Chuuk! My people still holdin it down for our ancestors! In Chuuk we call our canoes waa, in Polynesia it's call waka.

it was so beautiful and such an honor to be apart of fest PAC. I had goosbumps throughout the festival. as a chamorru, I had never seen guam so alive and so happy. it was amazing getting to see the many different islands perform. it felt like no matter what pacific island you saw, it felt like each and everyone was a family.💙 its sad that fest PAC had to end :( but great things must come to an end. good luck to Hawaii! !!

So far this is the best edited audio and video that I have seen on youtube of FestPac 2016! The video is clear and stable for the most part and the audio matches each scene. Best of all it shows the beauty and excitement of the various island nation participants. Well done! Thank you!!

Rich Liv Lol you may try and put your words out better so people will actually understand what you are trying to say? No we don't have the same festivals if that was your point? The Polynesian triangle, before Polynesia was all of todays Polynesia, parts of SEA and Madagascar. Polynesia was one of the last places on earth to be discovered and settled, so it is a fairly new ''nation''. It is extremely diverse so of course it is not the same all over. Hawai'i Nei still being annexed by the USA as well as very Americanized, same goes for Rapa Nui and it's Chilean influences, France in Tahiti, the UK in Australia and NZ...

Gille87 so? At least they're catching up with the times. Lol. How's your country problems doing? Most Philippinos today try to fit in as Polynesians.lol. especially here in California, where when they're asked of their ethnicity? They claim to be from Hawaii, Tahitian, or even Maori. But they look nothing like them. Hawaii can no longer be considered a Polynesian island, cause there aren't any more pure bloods. Just japanese trying to pass off as the real thing. Smh.

Fuck off you Filipinos are Asian don't try and connect us. Just because you do Tahitian or hula dancing doesn't make you blood lol. We Polynesians are a few thousands in the whole wide world

only thing i dont like is this video focus too much on the polynesian islands, or performances that are "entertaining" other islands have good performances too, they might not be the most active or exciring but it represents their culture and they give their all in it

Why was mainland Australian Aboriginal people left out of this festival very offensive to the Aboriginal people of Australia which are the most hated people in the world. Torres Strait Island people - Saibai Island people who represented Australia at the Fest are from the Islands near Papua New Guinea they are not Aboriginal to the Australian mainland.
