EatSleepCruise.com I’m wanting to book a 4 night cruise in July with my girlfriend. I heard we wouldn’t need passports, is that true? And also we were planning on flying to Orlando the morning of departure. What time does the cruise set sail?
I went there a couple months ago on empress of the seas and my mom disappeared. Hours of searching on the island and it turns out she was in her room on the ship sleep🤦🏽♀️
Here’s my experience... Got a “private” daybed at South Beach area. The beach area is suppose to be away from normal area. There’s a separate area for non cabana and daybed people but those people don’t stay in that area, they all flood the private area. There was zero privacy and the day was very noisy. There were some empty daybeds that people just came and sat on until security asked them to leave. A few times people were there for an hour! That’s pretty unfair to the people that paid for them. I think the daybed and cabana area needs to be sealed off. Otherwise it’s definitely not worth the hefty price tag. I know that I would never ever get one again. There really isn’t much to do on Cococay. Just a bunch of pools and slides. It’s not bad but definitely not what people make it out to be. ✌🏼
My family and I was just there 2 days (Sept. 26th) ago and we had a blast! We purchased the waterpark excursion and the kids loved it. We explored the beaches, went to the pool, did some shopping and a lot of eating. The last time I was there was about 4 years ago and it completely looks different but so much better! I highly recommend The Perfect Day at Cococay!!!
I just returned on Monday. OMG it was definitely a Perfect Day on CoCoCay. We got there around 10 and walked that beautiful pier which leads you to a day of thrills. It’s so inviting. there was plenty of seating everywhere. We sat there for hours, had great food and beverages. Even enjoyed the soft cones. We’re not thrill seekers so we enjoyed chill island and the straw market. While our family enjoyed the other areas. It was really cool and a blessing to have the tram take us back to the ship. We definitely plan to go back again.
Just went here 2 weeks ago on symphony of the seas. The slides were amazing and the wave pool was awesome too. However, if you want to ride the big slides, you have to get there the time it opens and go straight to the red slide. The pamphlet says to get there before 10 am but even then the line for the tallest slide will be 45-60 minutes. Just do the red slide first no matter what. After that, dueling demons is great and you can go on many times. The wave pool is sometimes crowded, however everyone gets pushed so you don’t usually run into anyone. A big problem however, is they have a HUGE problem with seagulls, so watch your food.
I see commercials for this all the time. But the one thing they forget in the commercials is how much it’s gonna cost you to have fun at the island. I figured a lot of the stuff on there was going to cost and that usually the parts that are dead at least that is what we learned on our cruise with carnival
Yes, the waterslides, zipline, and hot air balloon do cost extra money. However, the beaches with umbrellas and chairs, the Oasis Lagoon pool, and food are free on the island. You can certainly still have a great day without paying for all the extras.
We went to Coco Cay last week on our RC Navigator of the Sea cruise. We loved it. ALthough my wife and I did not go on the water slides, we loved the Chill Beach and pool. The swim-up bar was great. The BBQ lunch was hot, tasty and plentiful. Many restrooms and shops to pick up a new tee shirt or sunscreen. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful when needed. It really was a "PERFECT DAY at Coco Cay". Looking to cruise on RC and visit Coco Cay again in March 2020.
Be warned. They have a concrete pad poured directly beneath the sand volleyball court. Found this out the hard way on my first dive. Brilliant design 🤕
We went June 2019 on Harmony of the Seas. It was a very sunny and very hot day. Great way to spend the day. The best part of the whole trip? No cell phones...Just enjoy!

Holy cow, we were there I think circa 2013 when it was like exploring an uninhabited island. It was cool then to see the remnants of the previous owner like the footings of the water tower. The transformation from this video is truly stunning. Looking forward to booking our next trip soon
Never took Royal Caribbean but just returned from Kiss Kruize 9 with a stopover at neighboring Great Stirrup Cay. Not as many amenities and no water park but for a 40's something couple with no kids in toe, still a wonderful day off the ship.

I just went last weekend (July 12) and I had a lot of fun. Even though I didn’t do the things I wanted because I wasn’t paying 80 dollars but I still had fun and can’t wait to go back
So it seems that a "perfect" day at Coco Cay involves shelling out MORE money on top of the cruise costs. It sounds like it's about $500 extra to do things to keep you occupied during the stay there. I wish I had known this before booking. We are scheduled for March 2020 and now it seems that this entire day will be a waste. Hopefully just sitting at the beach can be done without being charged for soaking in the sunshine.
Around 75 dollars per person but it's depending on what day you get it and you have to get the pass before you go on the cruise because sometimes the thrill water park gets full and you can't buy the tickets there

@Chigozirim ᴖᴥᴖ Entrance to the island is free, but the waterslides, zipline, and balloon ride cost extra money. If you want to use those activities, you can purchase them like you would any other shore excursion (online using the cruise planner or once on the ship).

Just was here a week ago, the water was dirty and it was over crowded (they scheduled two cruises to be here on the same day). Everything costed extra other than food, pool, chairs and beach. They have a lot to do but you’ll have to pay a pretty penny.
I went 3 weeks after it opened on Navigator of the seas and only paid 49 for the park. I got off the boat the minute we were allowed to and waited no time for the rides. The water parks water is fully heated. And not the heated thats still cold. The water was warm and refreshing. It was definetely worth it. The oasis is not part of the park nore are the beaches and bars and restaurantes so you dont have to buy the park ticket to enjoy the island but its worth it if you like the thrill.
My family and I were there a few weeks ago on Harmony of the Seas. Great island setup, but I wouldn't do the water park pass again; the kids liked the wave pool, but lines for the slides were 30-40 minutes each, and whenever there's lightning within 5 miles, all water features - including the beaches - are closed until there has been no lightning reported for 30 minutes. I'd have been totally fine with the various beaches, bars, and buffets available. Not sure how you managed to swing such a low price for Thrill Waterpark, as our passes - without the zipline! - cost over $70 per person for the whole day, and that was with the online discount applied plus being discounted since we were in a Grand Suite. tl;dr - CocoCay is awesome but you may want to skip the high-priced waterpark.
We did somehow manage to get a great deal, but have not seen the prices that low since! The lines at the waterpark fluctuated during our visit. Devil's Peak was 30-45 mins but early morning and after 2pm all the other slides had minimal wait times.
June 1st 2020, cruise from Miami going to Perfect day Coco kay first, then cruise to Nassau Bahamas Atlantis and then back to Coco kay Perfect day! Thats 2 visits to Coco kay Perfect day all on one cruise. It will be amazingly fun! Its called the 4 night thrill and chill cruise on Navigator of the seas🤗🤗
I was just there this March. CocoCay was about 2/3 complete and there was no dock. The only complaint I had, and it wasn’t a major one, was there were just way too many flies around the food courts. That’s nature, right? I still had a wonderful time. Looking forward to taking the grandkids.
Went on my very first cruise a year ago, and it was on RC's Oasis of the Seas. That experience made me a cruise addict, and I have been dying to get to Perfect Day. Money is a factor, of course, so I have to wait and book a year out for my next cruise. But definitely you convinced me that Perfect Day needs to be on the itinerary.

miss mom No. You pay only if you’re partaking in the water park slide area, hot air ballon, jet ski, etc.. Just hop on the mini shuttle and take ride around the entire island and find a nice area to chill 🌴. Most food spots are free as well.

No it’s tons of stuff to do for adults too! They have a huge pool with a swim up bar and a dj. The cabanas and beds are really nice. It’s something you definitely want to experience.
Going to the Bahamas next month...and I will be there...Going on Royal Caribbean (Mariner of the Seas) ship....I have never been on a cruise before, but my sister is treating me to it as I lost my husband 6 months ago, so I'm counting the days now!
I went in May and absolutely loved it! It was my first cruise and we were on the Navigator. We did not try the water park, and spent most of our time on South Beach. It seemed pretty empty, and we had plenty of room. Im guessing up to two ships can dock at Coco Cay? If so, I imagine it would be extremely crowded. But we had a blast, and loved the fish and sting rays around South Beach. I would go again and highly recommend it. The snorkeling was somewhat lackluster, but the water gets cold fast so its a great way to cool down.
Yes, two ships can dock at CocoCay. Currently, there are days when only one ship is in port, and it is pretty quiet. Our guess is that it will change soon and two ships will be there together on a more consistent basis which will mean more crowds. We loved having the island to ourselves!
Went there a couple months ago and we had a great time. The only complaint was the bass from the bars in the center of the island could be heard all over the island. Bump, bump, bump all day long spoils the gentle sounds of the beach.
Instead of riding the slides you Will be riding Dorian. You morons . I dont understand why people are so stupid to plan for a September Bahamas cruise.

We were there just last weekend...3-14-20 and it was great. Food was great also. I only wished there was more time to be on the island.

I'm confused so you pay one fee for access to the whole island even if you dont participate in the activities and have to sit?
miss mom No. You pay only if you’re partaking in the water park slide area, hot air ballon, jet ski, etc.. Just hop on the mini shuttle and take ride around the entire island and find a nice area to chill 🌴. Most food spots are free as well.
II was there last year. It was very interesting. I learned to pay for pass before I enter the park while paying for the cruise

Seems like an island made soley for families with younger kids and kids in general. I wonder what the experience is like for maybe a couple or people in their late 20s onward 😅
No it’s tons of stuff to do for adults too! They have a huge pool with a swim up bar and a dj. The cabanas and beds are really nice. It’s something you definitely want to experience.
I go on the symphony of the seas cruise in 2021!! It stops at coco cay and i’m really excitedddd🤩

Going to the Bahamas next month...and I will be there...Going on Royal Caribbean (Mariner of the Seas) ship....I have never been on a cruise before, but my sister is treating me to it as I lost my husband 6 months ago, so I'm counting the days now!

I went in May and absolutely loved it! It was my first cruise and we were on the Navigator. We did not try the water park, and spent most of our time on South Beach. It seemed pretty empty, and we had plenty of room. Im guessing up to two ships can dock at Coco Cay? If so, I imagine it would be extremely crowded.
But we had a blast, and loved the fish and sting rays around South Beach. I would go again and highly recommend it. The snorkeling was somewhat lackluster, but the water gets cold fast so its a great way to cool down.
Yes, two ships can dock at CocoCay. Currently, there are days when only one ship is in port, and it is pretty quiet. Our guess is that it will change soon and two ships will be there together on a more consistent basis which will mean more crowds. We loved having the island to ourselves!

Went there a couple months ago and we had a great time. The only complaint was the bass from the bars in the center of the island could be heard all over the island. Bump, bump, bump all day long spoils the gentle sounds of the beach.
