  • Hello hello,
I decided to do an upgrade to my daughter’s room and I am doing a Montessori inspired bedroom and here are the five keys I am trying to follow:
    1. Child-sized furniture: Include low shelves and low-hanging hooks for coats and bags. This encourages independence and enables the child to access their belongings easily.
    2. Open shelves: Use open shelves instead of closed cabinets to display toys and materials. This allows the child to see and choose what they want to play with, promoting decision-making skills and organization.
    3. Natural materials: Try to use furniture and decor made from natural materials like wood, cotton, and wool. These materials are safer for children and promote a connection to the natural world.
    4. Order and simplicity: Keep the room simple and uncluttered, with a designated place for everything. This helps the child develop a sense of order and organization.
    5. Reading nook: Create a cozy reading corner with a selection of age-appropriate books and a comfortable seating area like a small bean bag or cushion. Encourage regular reading time as part of the child's daily routine.
