lets just say it would be considered very "unsafe" for them if they ever stop moving towards their desination, all amazon trucks are equipt with electroshock neck collars for all drivers that activate when the truck goes below 60mph. Amazons Speed inititive
I have personally observed a truck with an Amazon trailer travelling at least 25 miles over the limit. I've seen them with PLENTY of time to stop, like 1/4 mile, run a red light. I even saw one stop in the intersection, back up, and make the turn they just messed up and missed. They are absolutely NUTS on the road.

I'm just waiting for the B650(E) motherboards (since the MB prices are the main complaints), the upgrade path and future proofness of PCIE 5 are the main reasons to buy Zen 4 IMO
“Future proof” is a hard metric to hit. Just aim for the performance to price that you want, factor in the past reliability of the platform (IMO AM4 has been impressive so I have high hopes for AM5) and try to judge where you think you’ll need to be in a few years.
Can you imagine how manufacturers are falling over each other to get Vince to switch to them? Personally I'd like to see Asus scoop him up, it would send their OC products over the top with Kingpin doing the work. ... they also have the dollars to entice the team to set up there long term.
After watching Gamers Nexus's reviews on the R5 and R9 CPUs so far, there's one extremely good point being made that is missing from other reviews; you are not just buying the CPUs for the AM5 platform. You will need the motherboard (of which there are no cheap offerings until October and there's no telling if they will actually be cheap), DDR5 RAM (because AM5 doesn't support DDR4), and likely better cooling for the odd thermal behaviour. When you look at it that way, they are far less valuable, and because of the higher TDP, they aren't actually more efficient than the 5000 series. Not to mention the 5800X3D that is still wiping the floor in most games.
Then you have to buy all new stuff for the next cpu upgrade. That's annoying. But it's probably cheaper, but you have to buy a whole new computer just to go to the next version of AMD.
Agreed. I'm running a 3600x right now but I am finding myself editing more tiktoks/and my computer lags behind from trying to edit Large Format 4x5 Scans, So I think I'll upgrade to a 5900x. Seems the cheapest solution and I can reuse my ram, PSU, and can use my b450 board until it's time to upgrade the board. DDR5 Prices are insane. I heard you need 6000mhz+ ram to get best results, and 32 gigs is running 500 dollars at memory express.
Even tho you are technically buying future-proof motherboards, the price range is outrageous, $300 to $600 is what we used to spend for motherboard+cpu+cooling+ram and sometimes even STORAGE. That price alone for a motherboard?!
Yea but we all knew DDR5 tech would be expensive at launch, especially with AMD's all new architecture. That's not even remotely surprising. Tech people acting like it's a surprise, "AMD cpu';s fast but too expensive, possibly not worth it" well no duh. But wait a little time for the new architecture and DDR5 stuff to mature. Every new 1st gen tech that comes out is always 2-3x cost in most cases at launch and goes down signicantly in a matter of months as manufacturers ramp up and tweak production and supply starts to fall off as the wave of people needing to buy latest and greatest dies off. Those buying new stuff at launch is people who don't care about value, they got too much money and couldn't care less and only want the best of the best. There a lot of people out there that wouldn't even flinch at spending an extra $2000-$3000 then a system is worth just to have the latest.
It must be pretty exciting to see some great competition in the tech space. Hope you guys are having fun behind the scenes! Also, please give Alex the freedom to be the JankMaster Flex that we all want and need.
