  • One sunny calm day after building dozens of custom carts I sat in the shop (am) about to put together another and had an idea. What if I used my iPhone and took thousands of pictures while I moved out of the frame. My viewers have helped me realize it's time for more so stay tuned, there coming.
    Tanks for the support.

    I can’t believe how many people take the time to make a “how to” video, but this one BLOWS MY MIND!!! Too cool!

      TheSib I’m glad you liked it. I made another one show how to paint a cart roof. It’s short but still cool.

    I think it would b great if a video like this was there for all to watch and learn how to do stuff on your cart, more so for the new cart owners(LIKE ME) .

    I would like to thank everyone for loving my Stop Motion Animation Video. Because of it's success I will be producing more like it. Luckily for my viewers I have the ability to make more videos like this in several categories like welding or fixing a washing machine. I am currently putting together some projects that can be animated to show how they go together. Thanks again and stay tuned for some crazy fun animation. Oh and by the way I plan to build a house off the grid in the next year or so god willing I will have the camera equipment to film it. Ciao for now!

    Nice job, I would have skipped the spindle kit and opted for double a arm even if it was a cheap gtw they just look and perform better.

      Thanks for the support, this was not a personal cart but a build to sell. I keep my carts in a price range that’s affordable and competitive. If a customer wants more expensive components I certainly accommodate that but it does reflect the cost of the cart.

      here's a few tips for fixing a car battery
      Don't attempt to do this until you are sure what you are doing - the acid can burn your skin
      Test the voltage first - there may be a dead cell which will waste your time.
      Check your battery fluid.
      attempt to completely recharge the battery.
      (I discovered about these from rapid renew roadmap website )

    Awesome video man just out of curiosity what front end did you use for this build. Also did you just lift the reAR with leaf springs or what.

    • @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687
      @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687  7 лет назад

      I used 6" lift kits from different sources. I only us axel drop downs for the front and reversed blocks for the rear. I personally never use spindle kits, I do not like the way the carts handles.

    • @michaeladams3565
      @michaeladams3565 7 лет назад

      awesome man Thanks for the info. Are there any axle drop down kits you would recommend?

    • @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687
      @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687  7 лет назад +1

      Look on ebay. Ezgo 6" lift. They are $165. Sometimes they leave the front wheels with negative camber, in that case I cut the tube pull it in and re-weld it to straighten the wheel out.

    I’m rebuilding a 2001 TXT - did you replace all the hardware? If so, did you locate a manual with all the hardware identified or, simply go off of the old hardware for reference?

    • @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687
      @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687  4 года назад

      Well I'm not really sure what hardware you are referring to. Assuming you are talking about all the nuts and bolt then just match what you need to replace. They are not specific to a golf carts, they are just nuts and bolts you can buy anywhere like Lowe's. Generally you can reuse most of the hardware unless you are dealing with sever rust that can't be cleaned and painted. As for the rivets to hold the body and bushings for the suspension you can buy the kits on eBay. Hope this helps.
      P.S. I'm fortunate to be one of those guys that rarely if ever needs to look at a manual to build, fix or repair things of any kind, not sure a manual for a 01 txt is going to tell you much. fell free to call me if you have questions. 727-773-6232

    I have 2008 golf cart and where do I find 350 amp to make it go up hill stronger

    • @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687
      @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687  5 лет назад

      If you change the controller to a 350amp you also need to change the solenoid and heavy gauge wires. You can find it all on eBay or amazon. Or you can contact plum quick motors and they can help.

    Did you repaint the black frame for seat/windshield? If so, what paint did you use?

    • @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687
      @sscustomsbystevesciandra6687  8 лет назад +1

      I use 3 different kinds of paint. 1st is a rubber undercote for some parts of the lower under frame if there is rust I have to protect after I sand and clean it all off. If the cart is pretty clean I will use a spray by rust oleum (Truck Bed coating) for everything frame and metal related including the rear end. I also use a paint from Homedepot called 2x's in a semi gloss black for all plastic. Depending on the look I'm going for on the visually noticeable items like the uprights, seat supports, rear seat frame and rockers I alternate between the 2x's and the bed coating. 2x's looks factory satin black and the bed coating looks rough and tough. An aggressive looking cart will get the bed coating. A pretty light blue cart will get the 2x's look. Hope this helps, Scubaa

      Sorry for the long reply. I had no idea this video would get so much attention. Cheep carts are not easy to come by and are almost alway completely trashed. If you want the best deal find an ezgo that is rusted out in the corners and fab some new frame. But chances are you already found a cart since it's been 8 months.
