They literally believed they could sway people to the EV 💩 they failed and failed greatly. Serves them right. Now it's time to bring back what WE ALL WANT! 5.7 and 6.4 and for those who desires the supercharged versions unlike myself well more power to y'all. But I digress.
Nothing wrong with wanting to boost margins. But cutting the Dodge brand’s bread-and-butter to boost margins is beyond me. It was the Hellcats that won me over to Dodge
They need to heavily discount there 2022 - 2024 vehicles with extended warranty to have a chance selling them Plus have the dealerships in check with all there mark ups and add ons To even have a chance staying afloat
If they wanted to got to a 6 cylinder redesign the 3.6 thats already proven to take 5psi of boost through a pro charger style blower to bump it up to a 420 and maintain reliablity with a new cylinder head design. It takes hundreds of millions of dollars to prove an engine design. Just use whats in rotation with better internals!! Stay safe everyone
it would be very easy to add 2 cylinders to the pentastar and use it to replace the old pushrod motor as well. I would suggest redesign on the timing chains though
People might as well get used to the fact that cars with more than 700 horsepower are going to be just for the upper class we will get the 550 horsepower and down cars and they will still cost about 80 grand

I personally think there should be an engine variant of the new dodge daytona charger scat pack. If people want to buy thr EV version they can,but there should be a motor version of it for those of us that like the roar and raw power of a combination engine.
They pissed me off so bad I bought a Chevy truck . Almost bought a Toyota . The dealers only offered me 17 k For my 2022 ,1500 , Big horn . 80 k. On it. So all of our Mopars, are going down in value. So went to dark side. I wish I would have video taped it. I have had 5 new challengers, and uncountable amount of new ram trucks , and they forced me to buy a Chevy. So maybe if they bring back Dakota I’ll buy one. Life long dodge guy , been driving and owing since I 1st got license in 1982. The k car didn’t even make mad like STALANTIS.
They should create more trim levels to the V8 option cars. Does every V8 they sell HAVE to be a TOP trim level model? Can’t they just make a midrange V8 on a charger that has around 300 ponies between the base cars and top trim levels? Remember when yo7 could get a charger with a V8 but it wasn’t an RT. The 383 was the engine of choice then the 340 came along and that was a good sporty V8 but you didn’t have to pay top dollar to get it.
Umm, wouldn't a craft beer go better with those sliders? (I've never had a Martini before) Maybe with Carlos gone and the change in Washington we'll see a return of all the V8's, or a new Magnum V8 offering. Maybe they'll decide to offer a manual transmission again also. Joe Raiti drove the EV Daytona. He liked the handling but I don't think it was his favorite. At least he took one for the team.
Brad did you alter your factory exhaust or is it still stock. Everybody that hears and sees my T/A Challenger loves it but say you need to remove the mid mufflers for more sound. How do you feel on this subject. I was told not to alter the exhaust for resale value.
That would be true, it will lower the resale value since most people don’t want a car that’s that loud. Also, he likely does have the original exhaust on it since he lives in California and they have very strict noise pollution rules.
Soooo, I cut the mid mufflers and left the resonators on most of my chargers and challengers and I actually loved the sound and felt it wasn’t too crazy. But, I haven’t removed them from this car yet. Just haven’t gotten around to doing it and I’m trying not to piss off all of our new neighbors too. And yes, the dealers don’t like taking them on trade when the mid mufflers are removed, but a muffler shop will take them off for $150 and put them right back on for another $150. So just keep them and put them back on if you sell or trade in the car. I had one dealer just ask me to give them the mufflers so they could put them back on and they took my trade in.
It was way past time to start moving to aluminum blocks. Of course it would be nice if they continued to make hellcat motors but they are so expensive regular people can't afford them. There was (or still is?) a Gen 3 'Hellaphant' 426 Hemi introduced a few years ago. It was a crate motor, with outstanding power. If its no longer in production, they should bring it back.

Stellantis needs to let go of what used to be Chrysler products. Is there an American businessman with (A) very deep pockets, and (B) the desire to resurrect Chrysler, and bring it back home to America, where it belongs?
I would rather see the 3.5 V6 than a straight six turbo. Wouldn’t be a muscle car like the V8 but would be better than a turbo. And I agree, it’s more than just being the fastest, it’s the whole package.
Why doesn’t any of the dodge guys talk about the lack of evolution of their V8s? Fords been doing it for years as well as GM and look they still have great V8s. Dodge was greedy and stayed on an old engine platform when everyone else evolved. In business you’re moving forward or you’re going backwards. Not having a hemi car is not the end of the world. But a v8 half ton pickup is a necessity. The low grunt of a v8 is what is wanted and needed over the high rpm power of a turbo motor. Also the simplicity of a push rod engine over the extreme complexity the hurricane motor is. Personally i say get rid of the pentastar v6 and create a simpler non turbo hurricane for their base motor
I thought of an interesting idea. I’m sure i’m not the only one that thought of this but Continue making the Charger and Challenger V8 muscle and bring back the Dart as a two door sports car and throw in the in-line six twin turbo hurricane engine.

Read the comment section on every review of the new ev charger. It’s not just dodge guys that hate it.
Those Sliders did look good!!!
Tavares must have been a student of GE's Immelt. Apparently both knew everything there is to know about how to destroy a great company.
My man 💪🏿 living life the right way great vid as always luv your CHALLENGE..its a shame they let someone ruin DODGE smh hopefully they can comeback CHITOWN SALUTE BROSKI 🫡
That had to be a three foot martini compared to her!
Mopar needs to throw the 5.7 dawgs a bone and offer a whole lot more for power adders. Look at what all Ford offers. Especially rhe FP700
He was trying to bury The Company
Is the Durango staying at jnap or getting moved to Canada?
No na hemis, no truck sales.
@@ProblemChild-xk7ix trucks have different cafe requirements so they could keep them in those easier.
Get rid of the 'Cafe Laws', along with the EPA. The longer that squeeze play is allowed to exist, the more expensive/less valuable each new year model of vehicles become.
“That thing gotta Hemi in it?”
“ No but I’m saving the environment by keeping slave labor for lithium batteries going.”
There's really only one sane way forward for Stellantis: mid-engined 7.0 liter Hemi
That's a really nice Patek! 👍
great opening
No wonder Tim and others left ,!
Love all “the suck-ups” in corporate America!!
Love looking back at my challenger 😂
In carloses mind after the uaw contract he was out to destroy North America period he pretty much said it to the media
Carlos reminds me of someone.........lol
Wonder if Matt McAlear will now say how he truly feels about the EV. IN RacerX video… he was trying to push the EV. I remember one line was “well no one asked for a 6.2SC HC either.” Ummm yeah Matt everyone loves a supercharged/forced-induction engine… lol. Hope things get back on track for CDJR! 👊
So Stellantis will not get fixed, it's full of "Yes" men worried about their Christmas bonuses.
I had a similar idea...
But if they wanna do the ev shit...
There is a perfect name they can use for it.
NEON!
@ DUDE!!! Now that’s a bad ass idea!!!
@@Motor_mouth89 and if people want that power
Make an SRT version
You did that with the last Neon

You should make a video called "Did Carlos Do Anything Right? I'd be curious to see your unbias take on whether he did anything to improve the company at all lol.
why were they buying carbon offsets from tesla
To meet CAFE standards.
They need to bring back the 100,000 mile club
He was all in with the EV mandate. He must of thought Biden was going to win a second term. People love their Hemis.
According to Tk
The inline 6 are 💩lol
Is Willie Dynamite expecting his threads back?
Carlos was winging it. It was like putting Hunter on Burisma's board of directors.
Carlos thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.
Carlos is a WEF believer.
Carlos was giving the middle finger to the U S.
FCT, and his fellow @$$🤡 narcissists.
What watch is that?
Yeah, when I talk about stellantis, I have to drink, too.
What course is that? Do you golf?
They'll keep the hellcat durangos around for well over 100k new but axed the other hemis....great move
I would love to have lunch with Brad at that country club and have cocktails and sliders and talk about CDJR one day. 😂
So my question is, instead of pushing the EVs out as fast as possible why didn’t they release the ICE versions first then while they are on the market, work on the EVs and release them 2025 or 2026? But I guess that’s too simple of a fix.
They need to get back to being cheaper the Chevy and Ford with better quality then they have They are not and never have been luxury vehicles but change luxury vehicle prices EV have there place Hemi is just a name like Apple All engines are similar
Carlos Tavares getting the boot feels a lot like the day after this year's presidential election....
Dodge needs to make other retro cars , not just the Challenger.
Every guy that drives ones is saying told you so now the last called all the top dawg models that’s a double barrel to the sackstickles
The problem is they need a new car to put the hellcat engine in. The new Charger is too big, ugly, and a hatchback.
Yes.....Real cars do not have hatchbacks.
Lol, "a new car?" No 👎 people don't buy a new Charger/Challenger without the classic Charger/Challenger in mind. What people want is the old Charger/Challenger.
@@thomasriggle6371 um ok!
@@thomasriggle6371 Then they should go get one. They're clogging up dealer lots right now😂
@@JimFlanagan4206 the classic Charger/Challenger sold off the sales lots 50 years ago. Nobody wants the new junk you're talking about for the price they want.
America has spoken in the national election. Now let the union members vote on a new president, and get rid of the useless politician they have! God Bless America.
Really OC? THREE... Sliders? 😂 I guess you be real hungry huh?😅 Just messing witcha. I do the same. Lol.
I'd get a beer with those. That would be the only change I'd make
Bring back the Dodge Demon. All will be forgiven.
Nice video, love a good martini 🍸…..
The emperor's new clothes
I've been telling everyone. The HEMI lineup will return. Well, it's coming.
Tavares is to Dodge what Trudeau is to Canada.
A disaster
The entire spectrum of the HEMI engines are fully capable to go into this new version of this ridiculous version of the Charger. They need to revamp the Challenger and then watch the sales skyrocket.
That apparently isn’t true. It was stated before that only the 5.7 would fit without any major modifications needed.
What about the new Cuda?
New trackhawk please
You can't change the trajectroy of a a falling rocket. Dodge is done. A lot of people have moved on.
A company that large cannot change direction on a dime, redesign & retool factories without major money which they don't have
The entire auto industry is on a downward trajectory, but none worse than Dodge.
