Either you’re The Rescuer who feels they can save or rescue these murderers, often raised in an oppressive religious environment, and specifically have been subjected to the ideals of the sexual subjugation and repression. Or you suffer from Hybristophilia, a sexual attraction to men who commit dangerous crimes. They give you a power that you lack, it stems from low self-esteem and a need for a father figure. Yes I’m calling myself out here, because both of these are true for me.
I feel like, someone who'd be attracted towards him, by how he acts towards Y/n (giving flowers, and seems like a cool guy), y/n would most likely end up like this. Edit: Ahem- i- I didn't want this to get attention, but anywho. In that scenerio, yeah pretty sure that me, a person who's easily attracted to people based on how they act towards me, and if they were to give me flowers and such, i'd fall in love with them eventually.) This way he will think that you finally understand that he's doing this for your own good and he won't hurt anyone else if you completely devote yourself to him. Eventually he will also let you be more free like sending you to go shopping on your own until the place is close enough and you come back. He might let you make a call or let you see your parents or whatever. This is the right moment to ask for help. Like preparing a little paper explaining the situation to the cashier and leave, calling 911 and fake to be talking to a pizzeria and taking a order, the police will understand that something is wrong just like that girl did. I know this is a long comment but I just appreciate how there's something I relate and would do if I find myself in a situation like this. When someone is mentally unstable you have to be sure to always be on their side and agree with them on everything, it will be like a opposite Stockholm Syndrome.
