Watch Dunlop's onboard footage of his fastest lap. Pure insanity.
'There Is A Grey Blur, And A Green Blur. I Try To Stay On The Grey One.'
~ Joey Dunlop
''At the straight you know the engine
At the curve you know the pilot''
What a couple you are.Totally adorable,I am in awe.
Since the Isle of Man TT, started around 1908 it has averaged 2 fatalities per year. Sadly, a few years ago a father and son combination perished in a side car race. As Mat said earlier, to compete, you would never feel more alive, for a simple error could mean you are extinguished in an instant.
Yes Chels Women compete too !!
Greatest Motor Cycle race on the planet.
I remember one racer saying, All you see is a grey blur and a green blur, and you concentrate on the grey blur because that's the road.
That blink tee is sick
TT races are a different bread, they are chasing the adrenaline rush every second 🤟😎
You should also react to the side cart race on the Isle of Man. That's even more impressive.
If ever you get the opportunity to go and watch the TT, do it. It's a memorable experience. 😎👌
Subbed. 👍
Oh, also, i just subbed.😁😁😁🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧😁
Re - your question about female racers at IOM TT - i know Beryl Swain/Maria Costello & Jenny Tinmouth raced there and for the next level bravery/insanity! - Haley Jane Capewell & Debbie Baron raced in the sidecar race (separate sidecar outfits!)
Also czech driver Veronika Hankocyová :)
10:54 They know exactly where to drive.
Without a total of 280 riders from the inception of the race till 2024. They didn't know that.
Living on the edge, get it wrong & you're dead! 🏁🏁🏁
To clarify, a fair few of these clips aren't the TT. The text is a good indicator, the NW200 is in Northern Ireland, the ones on tracks are rather straight forward, some clips from the "Southern 100" which is on the IOM but takes place down south on a much, much smaller course. Title of the video rubs me the wrong way lol.
Yeah, the IRISH footage is more impressive because of the, everyone starts together as one group...! Way more intensive !
@7:42 going from fast motorcycle to the worlds fastest unicycle for a brief moment.
Guys .... do it ..go there. Once in a lifetime!!!!
2:45 - A bit of context about the Kawasaki H2R clips: the H2R is a different type of monster, it's still a 1.000cc 4 cylinder engine like the other road going superbikes but it's supercharged. It's also not street legal and can only be used in circuits or in closed-course demonstration runs like in the clips on the video.
3:37 - It's not that tight, otherwise they wouldn't do it at those speeds. The biggest challenge of that corner is that there's a dip right in the middle that causes the suspensions to bottom out, potentially making the rider lose control of the bike. Close-ups at 10:58.
8:03 to 8:33 and 11:12 - These clips have no business being here. They're from Moto GP races, nothing to do with the Isle of Man TT.
Jenny Tinmouth has the fastest lap for a female at 119.9mph back in 2010. Interesting side note she also does all the stunt riding in the Mission Impossible movies.
The buzzing drone noise reminds me of the helicopter napalm scene in apocalypse now the 'ride of the valykries'
The competition takes place over 2 weeks, with the first week for bike prep' and practising the circuit
@4:28 years ago a rider was killed when he did not line up the jump correctly and went straight into the wall of the Raven pub.
Barrergarrow one of the best spots.
Between 1907 and 2023, there have been 156 fatalities during official practices or races on the Snaefell Mountain Course, and 269 total fatalities (this number includes the riders killed during the Manx Grand Prix, and Clubman TT race series of the late 1940s/1950s). Source, wikipedia.
That Kawasaki Ninja H2R is a super-charged bike that is illegal on the street, though they do make a street version.
Peter Hickman chin camera is a good one to watch and checkout the sidecar racing that's is madness and also look at the Irish road warriors racing
Have you checked out Group B rallying from the 80’s which has banned due driver & spectator deaths 🏁
Watch the chin cam lap of the isle of man TT. You getb a feel of what it's like to be on one of those bikes. . The peter hickman chin cam lap. It's the most interactive experience you will get.
It's well worth the watch.
Check out the Isle of Man Sidecar racing! Even more mental 😮😊
i am from the U.K but having lived in the USA for around a year i can tell you now that when you see the roads in these clips both lanes combined only span the same as 1 lane in the US.. and they are racing like that lol...
You DEFINITELY need to memorize the entirety of this 37mile+ course to race it effectively
…oh, and don’t make a mistake.
Spectators are very respectful in general but they do also occasionally get injured or killed.
Just FYI the jump at Ballaugh Bridge is past the only speed camera on the island 🏍️💨💨💨💨🙀
Check out Peter hickman chin camera lap
Its coming up end of May and 1st of June
You just have to react to some MotoGP stuff!
There is actually a decent vr simulator out there if you are into gaming
hi from down under oz. if u liked that check out guy proper guy martin.................holds lots of speed records , broke his back in the tt , but him being him came back and won, oh yeah and parachuted into normandy to show respect and fun.
The Best a John Mcginnes
I wonder what would win: The hand holding the phone or the bike riding at > 200MPH... If your hand hits parts of the bike I would think the driver hardly even recognizes it at that speed level - maybe the sound of the phone crashing...
They clock well over 200mph on the mountain part of the course. The helicopter cannot keep up with them.
If you wanna react to racing carnage react to "worst dirt track crashes"
There is women who race. The fastest woman to ever race was Jenny Tinmouth. She averaged a speed of 119.945 mph. The fastest ever lap was set by Peter hickman. With a 16:36 lap time. Averaging a speed of 136.385 mph.
Thank you for this info!
"ooh my god at 8:32"...
That's a clip from bike racing in Indianapolis on a circuit. A track, specially build for racing.
Just to compare the speed the racers drive on a road track in the isle of man...
For Indianapolis you need balls to drive that fast.
For Isle of Man you need balls made from titanium...
Most of these clips are from practice days. Remember, it's a two week meet, one week for practice and the next for racing. The riders have to know the course inside out to perform safely and efficiently on race day. Not all clips are from the TT.
At those high speeds everything around you seems to slow down. That's some Einstein's relativity for you.
In the 1970s impossibly 80s.My cousin used to ride passenger On side cars.
In thirty Races on the Isle of man she was female
Because Astronauts need heroes too
Wow, that's a great statement.!!! Love it.!❤
Rip Cj Snar. He passed away.😔..........
Now watch the TT sidecar racing ! It's insane e
iT'S SHORT FOR MANX, A CELTIC WORD THEIR SIMBOL IS A 3 LEGGED MAn
Question about the public watching? THEY also know the risks. Lots of them have been killed to. The circuit is through normal small town streets without ANY safety barriers and riders narrowly miss flint walls, kerb stones and close by trees. The fastest lap is help by Peter Hickman, at an AVERAGE speed of 136.358mph.
Isle of Man name comes from the Celtic sea god Manannán
Those are old clips. Much faster now. Hickman AVERAGED 136.35mph last year
we do love adrenaline in different way than USA ;) but this sport is also dangerous for spectators, can even happen like this one week 7 death's 3 riders, 4 spectators... everyone whos going there have to accept the risk of it.:)
just waiting for the one with guy Martins crash
@jammykiller778 Or the Connor Cummings one.
The clip at 6:20 is actually a joke. The guy's wearing a wig attached to a fishing line that his friend pulls on as soon as the bike goes by.
😂
Men are awesome!
Ok, so yes, precision is everything at the TT. Without it, you're dead.!!
So here are some facts. As a rider, it takes 3 years to learn the 37-mile course and another 5 years to master it.!! And the riders will tell you ,it only takes a split second mistake to kiss all the hard good work goodbye.!!!
A famous quote from Joey Dunlop ( Rip ) " There's a grey blur and a green blur,i try to stay in the grey blur.!!"
For more action, check out the Peter Hickman pov chin cam full lap on the BMW.!! Just a insane view from a riders perspective.!!
Also, if you like cars.!!? Then also check out the Mark Higgins full lap new all time lap record in the Subaru Prodrive STI. This is an inboard cam with added graphics of all sorts of data with a running commentary.!! Totally awesome stuff, warning do not eat anything before viewing.!!! Lol.😂😂👍👍🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
blink 182 shirt... good old times :D
To Paraphrase a driver, you go so fast all you see is blur, but aslong as you are on the grey blur you are fine.
Fisrt road Race 1909, well over 200 killed so far, 7 last year, 3 rider's 4 spectators. they have many test runs round the the Island, most have taken part for several yeaRS. FATHER;S UNCLES AND BROTHER HAVE DIED ON THIS ROAD, BUT STILL THEY RIDE EVERY YEAR. THEY ARE Actually racing the clock, fastest around the course wins.
I think it's 269 dead and 6 in 2022 and 3 in 2023 l with 118 from England alone. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Isle_of_Man_TT_Mountain_Course_fatalities
First one-off race was 1905, re-introduced in 1907 and run annually since then, the report you're citing about riders and spectators dying was from 2011, not last year, and the report didn't say spectators, it said "members of the public", that's because they weren't watching the racing, they were riding their own bikes on the course when the roads were re-opened. There have been 2 fatal accidents involving spectators, 1 person died in 1939, and 2 people died in 2007. As for families, I presume you're talking about Michael Dunlop, who's lost his father, uncle and brother. But none of them died at the TT.
If you’re going to try and make the TT look bad, you’ll need to try harder. You’ve butchered those figures. By the way, more people due climbing Mount Everest.
@@nicksykes4575 ... Read Wiki then. I never said anything about 2011.
@@nicksykes4575 ... I even gave you the link to Wikipedia. Guess you didn't read it then. You are right 322 people have died on Everest. I guess I am making climbers look bad now. Facts are facts. Get over it.
TT is tourist trophy, not time trial
Hi yes there are women that take part. This year (2024) the sidecar champions Todd Ellis (29yrs old) and his sidecar rider Emanuelle Clément (27yrs old) are taking part, she is one ballsie lady.
That’s awesome!
Female riders , Maria Costello, Jenny Tinmouth👍
Chels. Imagine one of them was your hubby and a father of your child. Would you still be as excited? Those guys are sociopaths.
reupload?...
the wig is a prank
🤣
Yes,we are British 🇬🇧 and we are fucking mad
WTF was that noise at the start?
btw he had to pass the paras course 1st.........................paras, sas , navy seals, pathfinders, , no onr is the best just
No se si lo sabéis pero no todas las imágenes son de la isla de man este video no es adecuado para hablar de esa carrera
Only a few women each year take on the challenge
I heard on average there is 2 deaths per race
Sad but at least they passed doing what they love.
This is a compilation. Not all of them are from the TT.
Not 100% convinced that they’re all doing 200-220 mph …I had an original unrestricted Hayabusa for a few years and got it up to 165 which was scary as f***…my head was juddering uncontrolably… to be doing 200 plus with a wall on each side …not convinced…poss a slight exaggeration ..
TT record lap is over 136 mph average speed... let that sink in, then reconsider what you wrote...
I noticed you haven't reacted to any Band Maid for a year. They have 120+ songs and I'm just wondering why you gave up on them.
Here are some good songs from Band Maid ( in no particular order) ro get you started:
Honkai, brand new road, start over, order, alone, Arcadia girl, choose me, why why why, chemical reaction, don't apply the brake, shake that, glory, Beauty and the beast, don't you tell me, bubble, daydreaming, different, don't let me down, the nonfiction days, moratorium, cross, take me higher, time, secret my lips, fate, Rock in me, clang, turn me on, daydreaming, wonderland, bubble, the dragon cries, warning, blooming, no god, afterlife, hgk, Giovanni, from now on, corallium, influencer, shambles, before yesterday, I still seek revenge, freezer, reincarnation(rinne)
Y’all should react to NASCAR it’s faster than this
NASCAR has always been boring to the both of us.
@@MatandChelsReact Why
Each lap is 37 miles long covered by the fastest machines at 136 mph in just over 16 minutes . Why do they do it ? just like mountain climbers " Because it's there " .I had friends who rode in TT races back in the 1960's two who died when riding their bikes but not a race track just when riding in London going to work .
Are you mad. No woman ever. It's man's game.
jenny tinman tt rider woman
I might be wrong(probably,Google it)but was it Michael Dunlop who said I only see grey blur & green blur.I choose to stick to the grey
I think it Joey
Knew I was wrong🙄but bless the Dunlop dynasty for their insanity & pure brilliance🤒
@@markcutting6504
Too right mate.
It was his uncle Joey.
@@markcutting6504 - Check out the biopic "Road" if you get a chance, it's all about the Dunlop's. / B.
Chels I forget how beautiful you are ♥️
