- Spring time bluefin tuna fishing in San Diego and permit fishing in the Florida Keys.
Spring time has sprung for Ali and Rush on their respective coasts, and it's a great time to grab a buddy and head offshore to take advantage of what happens on the water this time of year.
For Ali, it marks the beginning of the San Diego fishing bluefin tuna season. For Rush, it's a great time to target permit on the wrecks in Key West Florida.

At the very end of our albacore season up here in Oregon some guys got into yellowtail 30 miles of the beach near tillimook. Amazing.

Fought a good one on the Daiwa Pacific on June 20 for an hour before he got off. I was heartbroken. Only bluefin I ever got was a 17 pound baby on the troll at the Coronados. This was 70+ pounds and I hooked it on the wrong gear. Shimano Torium 20/Teramar 8' 15-40 rod. 30# pline cxx. Had him 20 yds from the gaff 3 times, but he would just run again. I couldn't wear him out.
