Thank u soooo much. Im a 4th year med student in the uk, i love how easy to remember you make topics that i have trouble retaining. You’re an awesome teacher and have helped me loads. I can’t thank u enough !
my understanding of aspirin was not that it induced thrombocytopenia(low platelet from decreased production) but that it inhibits thromboxane which acts as a binding agent between platelets, thus preventing them from clotting to each other?
Hi Dr Mike and Dr Matt, Could you please consider creating videos that differentiates between hypovolemia, hypervolemia, hyperkalemia, hypokalemia, hypernatremia, hyponatremia, and clinical manifestation? How can you memorize and differentiate between primary and secondary skin lesions such macule, papule, scale, and fissure? It will be a terrific support for my coming final exam. Hope you and your family all the best!
Thank you Dr.Mike. Just came across your videos today and I found all of them extremely helpful in understanding so many topics. I am studying for NDEB for Canadian equivalency exams. Keep up the good work.
Trying to figure out why none of these drugs seem to work for me. I’m a redhead, it may have something to do with it. I take no medication other than multivitamins, I don’t even drink. But if I get an injury or have pain (rare really) I have been taking unsafe doses of these OTC drugs in trying to induce an effect. Haven’t found the “lowest -safe- dose” yet.
THANK YOU! I have an exam coming up and as I am a visual learner this is great - also I like the way you get to the point. Excellent video. Thank you again :)
Not a med student. I have a sick bunny, and just want to know what to anticipate from his new medications. Even I understood what was being said more or less. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
nice and very interesting video you should make another video showing us how to use a stethoscope how to take blood presssure with a manual bp cuff and an electronic one with the sounds of the heart and blood pressure
Why COX2 inhibit platelet production when this enzyme activated in inflammatory condition? I mean in inflammatory conditions there are tissue damage and maybe bleeding and high vascular permeability so we need more platelet to make a clot ?
Please help me here! My dr does not print Naproxen and now I am afraid of getting sick as I have taken them for a year. Is it dangerous to suddenly stop these??
I got an NSAID because of my back, so I'm wondering doesn't the fact that the muscles in my lower back (glutes) got so inflamed that I barley could walk? Shouldn't that be the main priority? If I don't get it fixed I'm just going to end up in the same situation. To me it's like putting out a fire with sand; the fire is still there and it's only a matter of time till there's another flair up

One time when I was in the hospital for pericarditis a PA told me that aspirin is not an nsaid. This is relevant because I have history of allergic like reactions to other NSAIDs. So I took the aspirin and a few minutes later required an EpiPen. Next time someone tells me aspirin is not an nsaid I'm gonna make them watch this video.
