First time viewer today, will no doubt watch many more 🙂 just had to comment, got a bottle of Patrick last week (not heard anyone mention it before) and also enjoy it, great scent. 👍
Pep, we have had 43 degrees plus days here in Perth, and for me much more roasting coffee then on my farm , 45 plus, nightmare!! Keept some cheapies in the fridge at work to spray hard like Tous and Jaguar Performance, nice minty green fragrance. Yesterday was my BDay and went with Guerlain Homme, chrome faced bottle from 2010, lovely mojito vibes. I picked up some Rochas as well at CW. Cheers.
Long time lurker, but just want to say how much I enjoy these rotation videos. Great way to wind down the weekend. I may try to post my rotations in the comments if that’s cool with you. Give me an excuse to start tracking my wearings. Greetings from Oklahoma!
There are some minor differences between Original Vetiver and Mugler Cologne, but they're more similar than not. OV feels slightly "bigger" to me, lasts a bit longer, and feels slightly louder (but still not beastly). It feels like OV ramps up the vetiver note a little bit, and then there's a touch of Creed's signature "ambergris" base. I would happily wear it, but I feel like Mugler Cologne is better balanced, better suited for its ideal purpose as a soapy, sunny, summery green EDC, and the Creed version is just silly expensive. I have a bottle of MC Come Together and it's lovely, though I haven't tried side by side with the earlier MC. Another one to try in this vein is Cartier Declaration Haute Fraicheur - same type of scent profile, and it just skews slightly woodier with a wisp of Declaration spices. I won't say it's better than the other two, but it's very similar and a nice (slight) variation that often sells for a good price at discounters.
Original Vetiver is the only Creed I own and I find it very similar to the Mugler. Although I think I prefer the Mugler. Congrats for the new purchase, that is also great!
Hi Pep... Like the Chanel no 5 concentration you talked about, well balanced, that's my comment on your Rotation offering today. Thanks, as usual, for your very welcome regular content/interviews. I just listened to your Pia Long Pep Talk. So good!
Moustache 1949 is essentially the same as the Concentree. However, the latter is stronger and “thicker”, but essentially the same. I love it. Definitely similarities to Eau Sauvage edt. I too purchased it for 29.95. Missed out on the 15% off promo a couple of weeks later. Either way, A steal to be sure!!!
Mugler Cologne vs Original Vetiver: I own and older bottle of Mugler cologne, and I recently purchased a bottle of OV for my brother. I haven’t done a side-by-side yet, but I will and I’ll update my thoughts then. But from smelling them separately, I’ll say OV is slightly denser. It has a very similar scent profile to Mugler and has more of a fresh, clean, SLIGHTLY woody vetiver. But both wear similarly (comparing what I’ve smelled coming off of my brother). I haven’t smelled Come Together, but I’d say OV is a great replacement for the original Mugler Cologne if that’s what you’re looking for.
Original Vetiver by Creed smells definitely more natural and has a musc drydown to die for. Especially in the summer it melts on the skin like few fragrances do. That my experience with it. Also it makes you want to go out for a walk and become one with nature. Probably my second favourite from Creed. Royal oud is still my no1.
I own Dior Eau Sauvage, Eau Sauvage Parfum and Moustache Original 1949. I have found that I really enjoy soapy fragrances, but not so much powdery ones. For me, Moustache Original 1949 is too powdery for my preference. Due to that, I prefer Dior Eau Sauvage much more. I agree with your assessment of Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. It does smell good, but it does get old. It dries down to be very sweet one me - something that I don't like every day. Your description of Patrick piqued my interest. I just might have to try that out!
Cheers Pep nice rotation sir , I hear ya on the one fragrance (regardless of which one) for a week solid and yeah when people have a big choice and collection looking them in the face on the daily it’s a mental preference challenge to ignore what the heart and brain is longing to wear on the daily ,kinda like a old time Sultan with a huge harem kinda deal hahaha 😂.Oh feel free not to comment on the Harem reference in case your good lady reads the comments and gives you the “ oh so ya want to be a king with a harem do ya ?? Hahaha not good for a harmonious relationship my friend 😆😆.cheers Pep rock on brother 🙏✌️👍
The reason that I don't have a signature scent is that after a few days, I get bored with any fragrance. I need variety.
A lot of us can definitely relate
Excellent week, I’m looking forward to Patrick myself when it warms up in North America. Cheers Pep

I agree, that Rochas bottle is terrific.

Thank you, and I would absolutely welcome it.
Appreciate that take on Raw Gold. I know Sebastian really loves that one.

Eau Sauvage, can’t go wrong 👍 I’ve given in to Sauvage Elixir this winter.
