Hey Bro! Been a bit since I commented...apologies. I've left Manitoba (for now) In Southern Ontario now. Loved this video, and if you are ever around Port Dover area, I'd sponsor you. Shiney Side Up!!!

Great video, thanks for posting! Yes, was an awesome day...really loved that logging road through Algonquin...especially since we had that gated section all to ourselves!!! Too bad that moose didn't hang around for a better photo op!

Some nice views on this trip. Looks like some difficult trail too. Peace and joy!

Active logging roads .... are there days they are not logging or less active in which case those would be better days to ride active logging roads.

There may be but it's not always possible to line up your schedule to line up with those days. The loggers are cool with bikepackers being there as long as everyone is being safe and using common sense. Cheers

Yes unfortunately I did. Ontario is the most expensive province in Canada for sure. Having ridden across Canada I can tell you this is a fact. It would be nice to see other provinces adopt the same system as Quebec and have reduced rates for cyclist and backpackers. Thanks for watching

Logging in Algonquin is part of the parks history - and is a good example of how it can be done responsibly and sustainably. The idea that the park is untouched wilderness has always been a myth. Oh yeah, logging trucks have right of way - there are usually signs saying so. Ride safe.

Thanks for watching! Yes logging trucks certainly have the right of way. I ended up talking to one of the guys driving a logging truck and he was really cool and said the loggers are cool with the cyclists as long as everyone is being save. Cheers
