Hey man. Really nice overview. I'm trying to decide between this pack and the Alvo 23 rolltop. I know you've reviewed both, but which do you prefer? Is it worth paying the extra for the full Bergshell construction, is the Alvo more waterproof? The extra 3L, the waist belt and the cheaper price make the High Coast Roll Top appealing though...
If you don’t need the laptop pocket then I’d go with the high coast! I like them both but I use them in different ways since I got my computer in the Ulvö, it’s also a sturdier material!
Nice day bag. In some cases for me I would travel with it for the weekend. I travel light. The larger sleeve is a nice feature for my laptop. One question is how full can you pack it and have the roll top still function properly?
I once had a three person tent in it, with the lid open! I’d say you’d be able to fit 26L in there with the top closing properly, you can probably push it a bit without closing the lid as normal :)
Great review, thinking of buying one. Have one question, how are the shoulderstraps and waistbelt when packed with some heavily items. Am not planning to but might occasionally. Thinking max 5 kg. Will the bag hold and would the straps be uncomfortable? What is the maximum weight you carry in this bag?
@@TedWeirum Thank you, will not be carrying more than 5kg very occasionally. 👍 I Never pack a laptop in a backpack, so think this pack would be perfect for me, made a appointment Fjallraven Flagship store in Amsterdam. Just opened again for appointments only this week and bought one. Your review convinced me to pull the trigger and buy one and first impression is excellent.
Wish the blue one had a lighter colored liner, it's another black hole since it's just the single layer fabric. Your gray is gray through and through, but the blue is the same blue I side with gray pockets inside. Great size for the essentials though, and the Bergshell is fun to keep running my hands over.
Super video once again. Are you planning to make a video about the High Coast Foldsack? I'm thinking of buying a small backpack that is waterproof and now I do not know which of the two. Currently I use the High Coast 18 l and thought first of the Foldsack.
Ooo that’s a little annoying but manageable. How would you rate the durability and waterproofness? This bag is looking great but not sure how long it’ll last me. Oh and do you think it could fit a 13” MacBook in the sleeve compartment? Thanks for the quick replies!
@@TedWeirum Oooo I think that’s good enough for my needs. How would you rate the durability? Do you think it’ll last for years or would you prefer the ulvo 23 (or something else) for durability?
Hi Ted...is the outer zipped pocket waterproof too? It is proving difficult to find a good waterproof backpack with a waterproof external pocket. I was going to get the High Coast Foldsack 24, but the description states that the seems are not taped and the zipper is not water resistant, so I am considering this one. Thank you
hi... im about to make a decision on whether to buy ulvo rolltop 23 or this high coast 26 rolltop.. can u give me a hints of pros and cons.. and which one you personally thinks better... thank you in advance...
Great review. Straightforward, no waffle 👍 I have two of the Rolltop Ulvö 23 which are heavier and can take a 15” laptop. Just the best daypack for work ever. Deceptively large and cut to fit (my 5’10” body) really perfectly. Will definitely be picking up a High Coast for a lighter day-hike option as my Osprey Tallon is often too much
hey:) what do u think, how many kilos can u comfortably carry (like if u have some groceries in it) with this backpack, without ruining it soon? thank u so much
Hello, does the roll top has zip as closure to secure the bag or you just roll and lock it? I tried to check some details from Google but can’t seem to find it Thank you
Verkar bra! Kul att Fjällräven börjar göra lite light weight-grejer :) Som daypack föredrar jag dock dragkedjor. Kan rekomendera att kolla in Gossamer Gear Vagabond, så himla nöjd med min.
A daypack doesn’t has to be especially light, so I’ll stay with my classy Fjällraven rucksack no. 21 medium in sand/tarmac 😎 But a rucksack around 50-60L and less than 1kg, then we talking 😉
@@TedWeirum Haha, I was looking at them before your reviews then your review always comes a day or two before I decide to buy them. And the High Coast bags are very comfortable as day packs, even more so than the kånken
You’re not a douche brother, check out this video where I explain a bit more: The goal of this channel - BTS ep. 5 ruclips.net/video/DJQFibSzEX0/видео.html I hope you get a chance to look at it, I’d be happy to hear your thoughts and your take on it!
@@TedWeirum that's a nice and clarifying video. But maybe you should consider to use some sort of disclaimer in your future videos, cause not all will see this video. I just think it's important to be as clear as you can when it comes to reviews, cause in the end people buy products based on your (and others) reviews. And don't get me wrong, Ted, I really like your channel and think you're doing a great job.
You’re right, even tough it’s been official for some time now all the details haven’t been in place, they are getting there now so it would be the right thing to do from here on out! Really appreciate the feedback and that you took the time to watch that video, this had been on my mind a lot, I was pretty much wating for your comment! :)
Will a 13" laptop fit in the bladder compartment? Tackar för bra content som vanligt :)
Tack för att du tittar! Yeah it should fit! :)

Thanks a lot for this video/review ! Now i really do know how this pack does really "look like" ! Seems great and all I need :)
My pleasure! Glad you like it! :)
Hi Ted. Would love to see a review on high coast foldsack 24 and compare it with the roll top. Thank you 😊
Hey! If I get my hands on one I’ll do it! :)

5 kgs will not be a problem at all! not sure of the maximum weight, you'd have to try that one!

Trevlig Video igen, har du klurat på nödvändigheten av att addera en näsduk till din EDC?

A really great short and succinct review! Is the hip belt removable?
Thanks! you can remove it but it's not designed to be removed so to say, you will have a little flirp hanging :)
Ooo that’s a little annoying but manageable. How would you rate the durability and waterproofness? This bag is looking great but not sure how long it’ll last me. Oh and do you think it could fit a 13” MacBook in the sleeve compartment? Thanks for the quick replies!
I’d say it’s rainproof, nothing I would swim with! ;)
It will fit a newer version of the MacBook! :)
@@TedWeirum Oooo I think that’s good enough for my needs. How would you rate the durability? Do you think it’ll last for years or would you prefer the ulvo 23 (or something else) for durability?
This one is slightly lighter than the Ulvö but I think both are two solid packs, this one will last for years!

sorry mate, same story here, it's not waterproof. would be great to have a pocket like that!
Well done. But, now I want a coffee review too!

all depends on your use case, for everyday all year round I use the ullvö rolltop! for summer days I use the high coast

I do some hiking with daypack, and mountain biking. Would this be suitable for both? Thanks, mate.
I think so! another option would be the keb hike 30, solid pack as well!
@@TedWeirum thank though.. will check the keb hike 30 as well.
Hej Ted! Thinking of buying this for having when biking. How is the backaide of the backpack? Rigid or more flexible?
Hey, It’s flexible I’d say.
Är det Filip från sorgenfri?

good question! there are so many variables here.. ehm.. hard to answer, 5-7kgs I'd say but it all depends!
Hi! Do you know if 15 inch MacBook will fit in that bladder compartment? Also, would love to know where did you get those glasses.
It will! The glasses are from Moscot, don’t remember the exact model name! :)
