  • Fjällräven Singi Stubben is Fjallraven's chair backpack. A great bushcraft and day hike rucksack! I have been using it for a while now and the quality is very high, as is the price.

I have used one of these for years (with the side pockets)...they are awesome for ice-fishing, deer hunting, even for a picnic! Obviously, it's not designed for extended backpacking or overnight adventures, but it is awesome for short forays where a "chair" comes in handy.

You could easily do a two-night hike in the warmer (but not summer) months with it, but only if your hike is NOT in excess of 10km, as this bag is really not designed for comfort over longer distances...

Keep coming back to this pack, I purchased a Savotta Jääkäri M with side pockets which has worked well for me.
I need to carry two chairs (Helinox zero) one for myself and one for wife, due to arthritis She can’t carry much anymore but an alternative would be to have this and carry one chair although this setup would be about 500 grams heavier. This bag would also be good for commuting for those times when you can’t get a seat on the train or tube. I think this is a great looking pack as well.

I saw a Nitehawk swivelseat bucket a while back and thought of building a pack around it, when at camp you can put a binliner in and use as a toilet as well...

That's interesting. A titanium frame would lighten it right up, but would also make it prohibitively even more expensive.

just came across your channel today and watched this review cos I bought my Singi Stubben about 3 years ago. It's a well made piece of kit and that inbuilt chair is a real boon. I subsequently bought the side pockets which are great for storing water bottle, cup, fuel bottle and various other bits and bobs to make it even more useful on those day hikes. Overall very pleased with it as it suits my purpose to perfection. Have also subscribed to your channel. ATVB from a Brit expat now living in a very hot and wet Malaysia

It must be sturdy as I thought you were standing at the beginning not sitting, looks very nice quality and what a great idea turning a backpack into a seat. Thank you for sharing with us.

I’ve got this - use it for ‘tabbing’, hiking, bushcraft. I got injured over the summer doing a short hike and was able to sit and rest until help came -- sounds silly, but that’s invaluable. I carry quite a lot of kit in the sack and with side pockets, it does the job. For longer hikes and camps I’d get the Kajka. Great video as always!!

    Wow, this looks incredible.
The fact that you have a Firebox goes to show how much you care about quality and universality. I have literally all of the Firebox Stove products except for the attaching truck table and the octagon freestyle setup. I think it's my absolute favorite end of the world product product.
The backpack looks well engineered and like you said, perfect for day/2 pack. I bought a lightweight folding chair, it's bigger than advertised. Lugging the chair around just isn't feasible. I know we can bring stuff out to Bush craft a simple tripod chair but this backpack makes everything so convenient, and it looks SO nice...
Thanks for sharing, I'm going to keep an eye on this. I recently just bought a 70L pack but I do need a day pack.

That is wonderful, Derek. What I like most about this backpack is that I can now sit down everywhere, haha. And as all Fjällräven products, it looks great, feels great and it is high quality. Much like the Fireboxes, I would say! They are also top notch quality.

I do not see why so many people spend big bucks on backpacks when they can buy high quality surplus US military on the cheap.
There are different sizes up to a monstrous capable of holding 80-100 #'s of gear down to fanny packs or three days.
They come as a system as well where you can add pon such as water bladder etc.
Tough canvas water snow proof strong as hell closures, with connectors for additional small object packets.
    Good frames wide belts.
large pack you can skin and bone out deer or bear and bag holds it easily.
all bags have accessory packing capabilities even small Spec Ops 3 piece sleeping bags + tent, small stove eating utensils and lots of room for food, batteries light fire stuff.even a good quality collapsible fishing b pole and reel with baits or lures. extra ammo , sling cot tarps.

These Things are the living hell. Very, very aggressive and persistent, you can't scare them away and once it's under your clothes it is too late. You can't kill them easily, almost impossible with bare hands. Their bites do not heal well, can leave scares and possible diseases.
