I’ve hiked into Lonesome Lake five times but never fished it. It’s a beautiful little lake. I think if you could get out into deeper water using a pack raft you could have some good action. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking out the video. I couldn’t help but think the same about getting out a little farther. Of course all the action was just out of casting distance lol
Where are y’all out of? I’m living in Lincoln. I have just picked up fly fishing this summer and am having a blast solo.. need some like minds to teach me more. Enjoyed the video!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! We are out of southern New Hampshire and I love hearing you just got on to fly fishing. Once you get started, it’s so easy to get the bug! Good luck on the water and maybe we’ll see you out there
@@thegranitestategrind I am pretty lax as well however I was fishing the Swift a few weeks ago , and when I reached my hand in a pocket of my waders the belt was in it so I put it on. Long story short , I tripped luckily I had the belt on.
No spinning rod I like the idea that you are making and using your own flys. You’ve only been doing it for two years, it takes many to catch consistently on a lake. I would have stopped at some of those nice pools on the way in. I’ve been fly fishing for just about 50 years, and now that I’m retired it’s almost everyday , and still many are fish less. What are you gonna do for the winter? I’m gonna explore Berry Brook for sea run trout.
Great video.. My wife and spend a lot of time up in the White Mountains fly fishing every year. Thanks for sharing!!

Not wearing a wading belt will eventually catch up to you.
You’re absolutely right! That’s a safety check I never think about but will definitely pay closer attention to with all parties in our group.

Next time spin rod with night crawler in Adirondacks you would catch dozens of brook trout a day. Fly rods suck fir brook trout fishing in ponds
Thanks for the pointers! We will keep that in mind
