I found you during covid for guns and tactics with a level head and to be without fear, but rather to have hope. Then I discovered your preaching and I'm glad I did. Thank you for all you do its truly a blessing.
John, Christ says that Faith without works is dead! Your right partly, only your acceptance of Jesus Christ gives you salvation but, after that you need to follow the example that he provides and do the good works. James 2:14-15
I'm fully right that our works do not save us. Good works we do after salvation only confirm we've been born again, they do not keep saving us. We are saved FOR good works, and not BY good works. If you were really born again, you will do good works.
How much more clear can it get? There is no commandment that says “Thou shalt not own another human being as property”. Owning a slave is not a sin. Exodus 21 tells you where to buy slaves, how long you can keep them for, how you can treat them, etc. Anybody who tries to twist the meaning of this knows it is immoral to own slaves and wants to falsely defend the Bible. For example, there is absolutely no mention of the words “indentured servitude” in the Bible, but apologist will swear that is what it means. In any case, that is STILL owning another human being as property. It doesn’t matter if they were treated nice or were let go after some years…slavery is slavery no matter how much you try to sugarcoat it.
Did your family change name from lovett to lovell? Maybe after immigration? I was recently watching a documentary about how the Bush family is connected with the lovell's.
Rarely is my phone in my hand. I go days without seeing it, it goes dead because I haven't charged it in so long many times. Its easy to drop the phone.
I am the same way. But that doesn't stop me from seeing the point and recognizing there are other things in my life that would fit that role, or from recognizing the example is universally true for most people.
Why did God wait 400 years to break the bond of slavery concerning the Israelites? 400 years - man! I know a thousand years is like a day to Him. -but Not to them!!
Why did God have so much mercy and patience as he lead them out those 400 years later? "The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, 'If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost-also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!'" Numbers 11:4-6

Yeah in the end the bad guys go into the lake of fire end of story. IT IS FINISHED. Sometimes you have to wait for the seed to grow.
