Even knowing how much of a grenade this kit is, I still bought one. But it wasn't the normal one, it was the RG Event Clear and I pretty much just built it and stood it on a customized Action Base. It's definitely very delicate, during the build and after. The knees fall off sometimes by themselves, but I understand. The knees get tired and need to lay down for a wee nap before resuming guard duty
Thanks so much for the review! This was really informative, seeing how floppy and unstable this RG can be. Then again, most RGs are rather unstable and are not meant for rough handling. That said, the Sinanju still looks impressive. I've still got this kit pre-ordered and I'm looking forward to assemble mine, and anyway as with all my other gunpla, I just set them up in 1 pose and leave them displayed.
Well there's one group of people saying that everything besides the knee armor is secure and your videos saying that everything is absolutely lose which I don't know what to believe
+NikTube01 it's a real grade. So that means whatever problems it has, are only going to get a whole lot worse with time. If you farted in the vicinity of my RG zeta it would fall apart! Depending on the kind of joint, a layer of clear nail polish can be used to thicken any inserts (pegs, male ball joints, etc) and add some friction. Just be sure to let the polish dry before putting it together.
The knee joints are loose and so are the toe joints, I had problems with the head but that was an easy fix. This kit is also back heavy so if you want to make it stand straight you gotta have something behind it. I messed up on the chest when building so one of the arms is hindered a bit. Through all the trouble I still recommend it mostly b/c it looks amazing and you dont have to use gold stickers like the hg/mg. I got one of these a couple months ago and it is completely fine. The waist is a little floppy and the red knee parts are loose and I had to glue the backs of the hands. Mine just stands on the shelf looking awesome next to Sazabi. Overall, I think that it is an amazing kit as long as you don't mess around with it too much. I just put mine in a standing pose and left it and it doesn't have loose joints minus the waist being a little wobbly.
yeah hype was killed in an instant well I guess ....move on but mecha what heavy assault type Gundam would you recommend? and what would you recommend for an RG?
This was my 2nd kit ever, after getting into the hobby this last year. Thank GOD I also got the Wing Gundam RG the same day, and felt I needed to at least give that one a shot as my 3rd, or else I'd never have come back. 7 kits in now, about to start MGEX, but man this was a rough one.

what sucks is this kit probably would have been fine had bandai made a new inner frame to support it. The kit uses the RG MKII frame. thats why the waist is so floppy. the MKII had a locking gimmick to limit its waist movement. Im guessing that was omited from this.
For the love of God a sinanju 2.0 mg would literally just need the gold separation of the rg but in 1/100 scale and if that was the only change I'd buy it too bad we'll probably need to wait a couple years b4 they even consider it

Hey Gaikotsu, did you glue the wrist join to the arm? On my kit, I would try to do something like you did at 7:53 and it falls off really easily. Just wondering to see if it's okay to do it.

Great review but I feel that you built it wrong. Syd from hobbylinktv built two and said that the first was unstable and falling apart but his second, which he took time to build and focus in the instructions was extremely stable and did not fall apart. So basically this is a good rg it's just that if you make even a little mistake when building this you can screw up the whole entire rg which I guess could be seen as a negative. Still I feel you should take a step back and see if you messed up on construction
Huh, whats interesting is that this is the first review (or reference from someone who's built it) who had issues with loose joints. I'm curious if this was due to bad runners.
newbie builder here, bought and built this a week ago, had the same issues with those parts falling off (head knee pads, shoulder and the toes)... Anyway most of them were fixed just have some issues with the arm cuffs, mine still keeps falling off whenever I attach the rifle or attach the effects on the arms, what did you do to keep the from falling...? did you glued them as well like what you mentioned...?
So would you say Bandai cut a few corners with this kit? That waist looks so loose that it might even be broken. I noticed the back of the shield looks unfinished with that gold trim visible, almost as if a part was missing but I guess they expect you to leave the grenade launcher on the shield.
Mecha having trouble with gold plated nubs, try the Gundam marker GM04 [200] gold marker, it's the closest thing to the Bandai gold I recently finished unicorn 03 phenex and it hides the white nub cuts really well
Hey Mecha G... I think you should just finish the MG Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt's full armor review . That bloopers reel at the end was pretty entertaining. :D
After all this time, the RG Sinanju would’ve fared better if it just waited an extra year or two so that it can get a proper, sturdier inner frame. It’s working like a charm for everything post-Unicorn, I believe.
This was my first gunpla. Never watched it but had 1 or 2 toys as a kid. And ended up buying it on a whim the year it came out, because it was at a local bookstore in my town. Let me tell you ... It really is that bad 😥
KEB raiser they spend hours or even weeks to build the kit with precission also they may do some modification or some fixing to the kit and that will made it sturdier Just take some time to build your kit and it'll be fine...well except if the kit has enginering issue...
I'm glad I'm not the only one that wasn't impressed by it. also, it's strangely good to know that the whole thruster bits falling off wasn't just my model.
That's a really nice gold and a really nice black! Whenever I get one I'll likely paint the red with metallic red paint, the white parts in pure white , but I'll be leaving the gold and black parts alone. Maybe hit them with gloss and matte top coats, respectively, but only as an attempt to hide any nub marks....would have to be careful building this in general though lol...
Is there really no way to secure or tighten the waist connection without sacrificing much of its articulation? And are the arms really too weak to support the rifle and the shield? Thanks!

Man it’s a shame it’s so bad, the sinanju has got to be one of my favourite mobile suit in the series
your reviews are awesome would like to see how you display them.
why you don't apply all decal?
newbie builder here, bought and built this a week ago, had the same issues with those parts falling off (head knee pads, shoulder and the toes)...
Type V3 said that the RG Gundam MK-II inner frame the is the skeleton of the kit can't handle all of the Sinanju parts hence the weakness
Do you have the HG version? Not the stein, the red hg version.
I used to have the metallic finish one, but it didn’t come back from Japan with me.
and thats why the kits with larger back packs are only getting swivel limited waster articulation. more "steady" or "less rickety " if you like.
Mecha having trouble with gold plated nubs, try the Gundam marker GM04 [200] gold marker, it's the closest thing to the Bandai gold I recently finished unicorn 03 phenex and it hides the white nub cuts really well
I think the bootleg kit if made kit based this rg sinanju would be better than real one. Jusy i hope someday bandai would be release v2 rg sinanju😑
that shield connection ignoring the wrist cover the big thing it doesn't lock in
Hey Mecha G... I think you should just finish the MG Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt's full armor review .
That bloopers reel at the end was pretty entertaining. :D
i still love it though... thank you so much for the review.. been waiting for this vid since i watched ur unboxing.. 👍👍👍
After all this time, the RG Sinanju would’ve fared better if it just waited an extra year or two so that it can get a proper, sturdier inner frame. It’s working like a charm for everything post-Unicorn, I believe.
4:40 in the arm with a shield part cant you just stick those both?
This was my first gunpla. Never watched it but had 1 or 2 toys as a kid. And ended up buying it on a whim the year it came out, because it was at a local bookstore in my town. Let me tell you ...
It really is that bad 😥
For mine, its mainly the wrists and backpack that are weak
I preordered this already. I wished I saw your review a bit earlier! XD
but how did the Gundam Expo modelers did a good post on thd sinanju?
KEB raiser they spend hours or even weeks to build the kit with precission also they may do some modification or some fixing to the kit and that will made it sturdier
Just take some time to build your kit and it'll be fine...well except if the kit has enginering issue...
RIP Sinanju joints
Dude, that's not how you move those joints
Agreed. That's not how you handle a kit figure. That way of handling the kits will certainly cause durability issues.
i think he knows how to handle a gunplas joints look how many he built
+Kazuki Souji he broke 2 mg Sinanju waist. Omg. I didn't even break mine and I got mine for 4+ years already
agreed.. since this is a review he wanna show all good and bad as possible..
i have only 1 mg sinanju and still holding even after full custom paintjob...and its even a bootleg...hahaha
I'm glad I'm not the only one that wasn't impressed by it. also, it's strangely good to know that the whole thruster bits falling off wasn't just my model.
It looks so cool in the show and on the box, but building it is a pain. I went back to the instruction manual a few times thinking i messed up.
Thanks for the review I almost pre-ordered this. I think its better to get the HG SInanju and paint it or just get the MG
Which would you recommend more? The Sinaju or Sazabi?
Sazabi. Hands down!
I’m just glad I’m not the only one who had issues with this kit. The waist made me feel like I missed something because of how floppy it is
Thank you for the review. At least, it was fun to see you posing the gunpla.
Just saw type v3’s. His seem to be secure (parts). Not sure if he glued or somehow made the parts more secure, or not
Mecha... Will you give us another review of this RG Sinanju... With a Tier Ranking.
Im Having Second Thoughts if im gonna buy this kit. Im Disappointed on the body... but i love the gold parts...
Is there really no way to secure or tighten the waist connection without sacrificing much of its articulation? And are the arms really too weak to support the rifle and the shield? Thanks!
When the best figure of you is the High Grade
Don’t believe Mecha’s bullshit, he manhandles his kits. It is solid, Mecha’s just stupid.
The HG is so good
