The star of this movie is William Bendix. I just wish that he were in many more scenes. He was always great in every production that he was ever involved in. He was a master of comedy too...."The Life of Riley".
A great little movie with the greatest of all time or GOAT female star Lucille Ball she made billions of dollars and has billions of fans. Watch her in a different light. Good vehicle for Stephens, kinda of a poor man's Glenn Ford in a good vehicle with the familar William Bendix in a strong supporting role.
She cared for him. It used to mean something. Also, this is a mystery and needs a love interest to add another element of tension, if you get my drift.
The stunned expression 😳 of lady in the ticket booth 👫🎟🧎🏻♀️who overheard their conversation was priceless: She wanted to hear more... Enquiring minds wanna know👫🎟 🫢

Agree on all of it! All three of them were great, and Lucy stole my heart. Bendix nailed his role as the slimy creep perfectly.
I love Lucy
Same Music as "I wake up screaming."
Why are all the doors in these old movies almost 9ft tall?
Why would a private investigator secretary earning peanuts, get involved after hours with her boss?.
Probably had itch she couldn't reach by her self if you know what I mean......
Because Gale Gordon had ruined her for all men, especially her hearing. Plus, she was earning peanuts.

Hint: It's a movie. A noir movie. With a femme fatale. I hope this helps.
I hate Clifton Webb and his character in this movie.
She is gorgeous in a garbage movie
