This is the first last and only video I've seen that adequately explains ALL of the steps. To us less mechanical people, taking a BMW apart is scary. You've emboldened me to try this repair. Thanks. Jon btw, just to confirm: you started with halogen oem's and ended up with halogens? They just have the halo and black appearance? With... maybe a more white bulb vs ugly yellow (like mine)?
Just bought a pair of these for my 2006 325i. I'm also going to replace my fog lights and respray the mesh grills. This video should help a lot. Thanks for uploading it.
Mia Nichole Thank you...I'm 16! I'm self taught, and I love working on almost anything mechanical. I've been working on engines since I was 13...Something just clicks in my head when it comes to this kind of stuff!
Hey! Awesome headlights. I have buyed the same kind! And i have a question. My Bmw is born with adaptive xenon headlights. And my aftermarket have an extra cap with wiring to replace that cap Where you adjust manual High of lights. Do you know if its possible to connect adaptive level cap with wires and how Can it be done?
Nice bro, very helpful as I'm planning to do the same to my 2010 328i(base sedan). I don't remember seeing you do the weather strip though. Also l have question. Every set of aftermarket headlights I have ever seen has had an issue with condensation inside the lens especially after rain or in cold weather. How are yours holding up in that regard? Also can you upgrade to an H.I.D. set up with the DRL's and headlights?
I have a 2006 3201 E90 2ltr N46. This came with standard basic H7 globe headlights with no halo rings . I just installed a set of Angel Eye headights made in Taiwan and appears good quality (i live in Australia) and they work fine and totally transform the look of the car (body colour dark blue). Except for the halo circles to work you have manually tap into the factory wiring and the instructions say this and i can only assume so you operate the halo's as day lights which would require finding an active source when the ignition is turned on - but i know how sensitive the BMW's are to external non factory wiring if detecting any additional load Or are these halo rings only supposed to operate at night when the headlights lights are on? If so then that makes tapping into the headlight wiring at the plug much easier
It the only one that has a straight forward video about this I fucking love u bro thank you so much I just bought an e90 and can’t wait till I get some new headlights
Your channel is the best one I've found so far so hopefully I can get some feedback. I just bought some headlights RGB COLOR LED PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS for my 2010 328i. Bmw. My mechanic says he doesn't know how to install them but i want them so bad. Would you have any tips as to how to install these?
I just completed my Halo headlight upgrade, in addition to the M3 style front bumper, and new gas and brake pedals!! My car is finally coming together. Taking baby steps but $2500 bucks for a diamond in the ruff was a steal for the car; couldn't pass it up!😎 I can't wait until she's complete.
I want to change my headlights. These are pretty awesome looking. Went to a guy today to initially only get the plastic changed because water would get in one of them then be all foggy for a while and wet, anyway he told me I should just change the whole headlight Idk if he's bullshitting me or not but he said order some online and he can install them
Hey bro do you maybe know or remember how to adjust these headlights. I really like the looks of them but cant find a way to adjust them. I had led's in them now installed 6000k HID kit and cant find a way to adjust them properly. Only screw i found was left and right adjustment. Nevermind i just realised that i got one's with adaptive cover im missing that screw that you have.
Hey bro..... How's the light projection of ur new headlights at night? Does it becomes more brighter than the OEM ones or was it only good for the looks? Cuz I've tried several aftermarket HL and nothing yet could beat the OEM ones...
Hey JD Cars, great video. Followed them to install Spyder Angel Eye projectors for my e90 325i, similar to the Spec-D's. Are your angel eyes treating you well, no burnt out leds or anything?

Hi, I was wondering can you post like a tool list of what you used for this angel eye headlight upgrade? Btw, thanks a bunch, what you are doing is quite cool, and super helpful.
Do you have a link for Amazon to replace the angel light to bright white led? I have a 2011 BMW 328i with stock halogens and I'm confused about which lights to get. All the ones I see on Amazon description are all for stock xenon replacements only.

Not sure about the part you stuck headlight which is the resistor, not sure if its the same as HID resistors on my E90 but they look very alike they get VERY hot and would easily melt that plastic usually they are meant to mount on a bracket separate from plastic! Just a heads up!

As could you upload a pic somewhere with shots of the headlights? But that part not sure how hot it gets for the rings but for HIDs to avoid the bulb error they get very hot and I used an old hid bracket to mount them. Also the brights will not work the car shows them on but they are not light. However when pulling back on the blinker the brights will flash. JD Cars they were on auto which was the problem. Thanks for the reply man your video made them easy to install. Did you lose the ability for the high beams to be locked in the on position? Mine wont stay on when i push the stalk fwd anymore. Thanks again man
do you know if the halo's will be lit after installing them as they come shipped? or do you need to do any separate work in order to achieve that? please let me know i just got these shipped to me

Thanks! I'm not sure, but I think you're correct.
What's up man. How did they hold up? Saw in the comments you said you bought new headlights. Did they give out or why you replace these ones?
I replaced these due to a leak and moisture build-up.

This method involves entire new headlights.
Bloody hell! What a performance to remove the headlights from a BMW, glad I’ve just got an old Ford Mondeo a million times easier! 😄
Thought you would've disconnected the blinkers cause you also don't need that.
Lol JK
Hahahaha
I have the same headlights, could you please advise how to change the halo bulbs
You should consider tinting your backlights and adding eyelids to your headlights ☺️ it makes the car look more agressive imo :D
Yeah I'd like to smoke out the rear lights a bit!
Hi, I was wondering can you post like a tool list of what you used for this angel eye headlight upgrade?

how did you have euro spec gem headlights with the frost side markers and not amber?

Did these throw out any error codes? Also, were your original headlights the xenon adaptive headlights?
No error cods, and they are not Xenon
Hey JD thanks for the great videos, i have an 2007 E92 (coupe) would they fit on that also or are they just designed for the E90 4DR
Yes I believe they would work
Are these more brighter than the stock halogen lights do they light up further cheers mate
I'd say they are brighter. I love them!
I got LUX H8 180’s for my LCI e90 and the outer ring is no where near as bright as yours. How did you get it so bright?
These are a whole new headlight.. not bulbs
What if you did have adaptive headlights? Would that kit retain their adaptivity or would they be simply straight shining beams after using this kit?
I am not sure to be honest.

It should... as long as thats a sedan.
How are the headlights working? I ordered some similar ones and read on the reviews that moisture gets in. have you had that problem?

Are the lights switched to auto or on?
JD Cars they were on auto which was the problem. Thanks for the reply man your video made them easy to install. Did you lose the ability for the high beams to be locked in the on position? Mine wont stay on when i push the stalk fwd anymore. Thanks again man
do you know if the halo's will be lit after installing them as they come shipped? or do you need to do any separate work in order to achieve that? please let me know i just got these shipped to me
