Incredible guide! Thank you so much! I've been stuck on this challenge for days now. A tip I'd like to share with others for the fight with Sephiroth is to skip using arcane ward. That way he won't have time to catch you. Just use haste, ATB boost (with both Yuffie and Aerith) and the ATB Ward on Yuffie. As soon as you have two bars start using firagas and he'll be interrupted and unable to move as long as you repeat this. Be sure to have Swiftcast Material to max level, otherwise it will not work since Sephiroth will be faster than Aerith. I tried it first on level 3 but I didn't stand a chance.

After many many many tries and different builds this is the one that did it for me, honestly, every fight was a breeze for me with this except for sephirot because of his instant kill move, that one I just got lucky. Thank you, I am never touching this vr challenge again. Now only bonds of friendship is left😢
Dude i love you ❤ even tho i didnt understand your language, i could still follow your guide and after maybe only 1-3 bad attempts, i was getting to gilgamesh on my fourth try, and on my fifth i wiped the whole floor including sephiroth, who even managed to shadow chain my cloud, but aerith kept sephiroth in the air 24/7 after the setup was done. GOATED RUclipsR Edit: my clear time was 4:02, couldnt even believe it myself
it's still so hard with this build you need to be fast and precise when spending ATB also sometimes it may just be messed up randomly like Phoenix pushing you away from wards... but I guess it's already the easiest cheese to beat this challenge. MAAAAN I just want the last pianosheet I don't even care about getting platinum :(
Great build. I only get as far as sephiroth and then i get get ko'd very quick. I imagine a certain amount of luck is involved so ill keep trying. Any advice for him be great though :)
Brumal Form doesn't count for ATB Assist. Since Yuffie does basically nothing but Brumal Form with this strategy, it doesn't make sense to put ATB Assist on her.
I've reached Sephiroth like 10 times with your build (thank you!), but I can't block his chains and end up dead within 30-40 seconds into the fight. What a nightmare lol. Any tips to parry it?
i just won with this build and the only tips i can give is don't use arcane ward, as soon as you have the atb ward just spam firaga with cloud and aerith until the fire part then use thundaga with cloud and blizaga, that way you can skip the chains, i mean it worked for me
@@tristanlebon3774 I've cleared the fight yesterday. I switched Cloud with Barett and used barrier against Sephiroth to survive the first octoslash and spammed firaga. I've also just cleared all solo legend. Cloud/Zack and Cloud/Sephiroth challenges left. I've heard that Zack's one is the hardest of all, so I'm a bit scared haha 🤣

I swear to go I tried this method like 15x times and it's a struggle but I found out your Tifa divekick video run and within like 5 actual tries i managed to first time kill Sephiroth as well and I dunno what's wrong with me because I had much easier time with that team (of course I had to heal a lot with cloud and raise here and there but considering I haven't spent much time exercising it was quite shocking)compared to this one while realistically this looks much easier to replicate
This setup works really well for me! But sometimes in the first fight I get rammed by Kujata and need to restart. Someone else tried this setup with Gilgamesh? Sometimes the RNG for me is so bad that I don't get to cast anything. Does this happen to you guys also?
It is a bug. Because you don’t need to ‘dodge’ an enemy’s attack. But just spamming Brutal form in the air, it charges ATB gauge(a bug). And it works without ‘demon keychain’.
Really? If I remember it right, Brumal form only consumes half ATB bar even if you don’t dodge anything(Still requires 1 bar to use) combine that with ATB ward she would get refunded ATB more than the others(because she only use half instead of full bar)+ Demon key chain which refund ATB from using ability. I’d say it legit and not a bug.
@@kitipadthumtawee7749 Brumal form consumes 1/4 ATB(or a half anyway). But there is no reason ATB ward refunds 3/4. I think the coding of Brumal form is after consuming 1ATB returns 3/4 ATB. But there is never a tooltip about this mechanism in game. We don’t know if developpers intend it.
@@SteveJobs_ Okay, I just check the description of the ATB ward. Look like it work differently from the remake one (I assume it work the same before because of the same name, My bad). So the ATB bit of brumal form has nothing to do with the ward at all. Instead what kept the ATB from depleting is literally from the keychain (this item probably refund her 1/4 ATB) and haste that cast on her. 😅 I do agree on the dev oversight though, but that's what fun in finding new build right? You get to do something wacky that's seem impossible before.

Reflected reverse camera controls while controlling a gliding sky chocobo. Reflected reverse camera controls in the sharpshooting minigame. Emphasized the path along the climbable vines in the Mythril Mine. Added a difficulty selection to the customization screen of the minigames Fort Condor and Gears and Gambits.
@@andrewtt03 my game updated automatically and I can confirm the atb ward trick with Yuffie still works. I still haven't been able to beat it though. My characters abilities get interrupted too much and start dying which ruins the synergy. Gilgamesh specifically keeps interrupting Aerith 's atb ward no matter how safe I try to be and he kills my characters so quick
@@andrewtt03Just tested it tonight. The update just adds different fidelities and fixes game-breaking bugs (the kind you don't want). I doubt they'll be patching anything like this; anyway, it might even be intended.

Is there a setting for your charcters ai anywhere? They dont stay near the ward to cast i have to keep running cloud across the arena. They also like to sprint in and die if a boss is about to do an aoe 😂. Its so annoying.
this game has a lot of issues, You can get aerith to automatically teleport to her ward by equipping "auto unique ability". She will ward shift without being controlled/whenever you cast a spell
This strategy no longer works, Summons and Sephiroth attack immediate before you get haste cast ward and thus disrupt the action and then kill Yuffie outright.

yuffie can generate atb to others while brumal form on atb wards so you can set atb assist to other characters actually you can replace atb assist it with cure and revive. it's not auto cast I press the firaga manually.

True, arcane ward/atb ward are too good and they'll be gone. Since Cid is a mechanic, maybe he could have machinist abilities like deploying turrets or small gadgets that do the same thing? But yeah, I won't be surprised if the final game is a near 10/10 in terms of platinum difficulty. Aerith carries so hard in these brutal challenges.

20 th try, barely made round 2, my team always got destroyed before I even had time to cast arcane ward...

@@DGEvil-Melon the Brumal form system seems automatically return 3/4 ATB. I think it is a misstake of developer.
Kujata always go fire and i can’t kill phoenix before rebirth so this doesn’t work
I always succeed when fighting phoenix and kujata, defeat him before using the fire element or if he has changed use ice on Aerith and wind on Cloud.
Same, every time I target Kujata I kill him, but Phoenix keeps reviving him.
Once kajuata dies, pheonix is no longer tethered regardless of whether it comes back. Attack oheonix directly if rebirth is pulled off.

Also, the AI is butts in this game. Sephiroth being able to target other people besides me for chains is cheap if they cant precision block it...
can you do new strategy for brutal 1-5 with easier methods maybe?

The hardest part was to setup against sephirot, he always messing with shadow chains, i mean he target my AI haha
he’ll always shadow chain after second attack so don’t setup yet till you block him.

Is there a setting for your charcters ai anywhere? They dont stay near the ward to cast i have to keep running cloud across the arena. They also like to sprint in and die if a boss is about to do an aoe 😂. Its so annoying.
this game has a lot of issues, You can get aerith to automatically teleport to her ward by equipping "auto unique ability". She will ward shift without being controlled/whenever you cast a spell
I'm using the materia setup listed but I've run out of MP by the time I reach Odin? T_T
you shouldnt because using fire would regain MP
upgrade mp absorbtion and using fire

atb assist feels pretty useless on cloud. id rather opt for raise and/or cure

จริงด้วยครับ ผมลองเปลี่ยนมาใส่ ขึ้นดีจริง แต่ยังไม่ผ่าน น่าจะเพราะสเต็ปการวางตำแหน่งผมไม่ค่อยดี เข้าเฟส2ทีไร ม่อนชอบไปรุมตีแอริธตลอดเลย
ขออนุญาติแนะนำ ครับ key คือมันต้องวาง atb wardให้ได้ครับ ถ้าโดนขัดแบบแอริธเสียเกจไปแล้วนี่แทบจะกด retry ได้เลย
วิธีของผมคือใช้อีก2ตัวเป็นตัวที่วิ่งเร็วครับแนะนำred13 แล้ววิ่งไปคนละทางกับด้านแอริธ ถ้ามอนไม่ตามแล้วดูว่าตรงใหนปลอดภัยก็ใช้ท่าคู่(skill) ดึงแอริธไป
ตอนแรกผมใช้ nuke เวท3 ทั้ง2ตัวเล่นให้ตัวเองผ่านแบบง่ายมาก แต่พอมาเล่นให้เพื่อนผมต้อง retry ถึง6ครั้ง ผมเลยปรับนิดหน่อย
ลองใช้ nuke ตัวเดียวครับแล้วดึง red เป็น ตัว buff ตัว heal ใช้ pray healหมู่ ลด MP heal manawallหมู่ faith hasteหมู่(skill) ดัน atbเพื่อน(skill) เรียกว่ารับจบในตัวเดียวแล้วก็เป็น damage ช่วยตอนหักปีก Bahamut กับ Alexander
Brutal form สามารถใช้หลบการโจมตีได้นะครับหลักการเดียวกับ perfect block จริงๆก็แสปมแล้ววัดดวงก็พอแล้ว แต่หลบเซฟิรอธท่า chain ไม่ได้นะครับอันนั้นยังต้อง parrry
ลองดูครับอาจช่วยได้ตอนผมเล่นตั้งแต่อาทิตแรกที่เกมออก ไม่ได้ใช้ key chain ด้วยคิดไม่ถึงแล้วก็ไม่รูัเกมเปลี่ยนอะไรแล้วรึเปล่านะครับ

This is just unfair to the enemies. Brutally, horribly unfair.
This strategy no longer works, Summons and Sephiroth attack immediate before you get haste cast ward and thus disrupt the action and then kill Yuffie outright.
Why you could restore 50% mp as I only restore 30%?
at the end of each round you restore 50% of your maximum mp. The Materia is 0.3 when it's maxed so how much you restore is based upon damage.

yuffie can generate atb to others while brumal form on atb wards so you can set atb assist to other characters actually you can replace atb assist it with cure and revive. it's not auto cast I press the firaga manually.

Part3 will be a very hard game without Aerith
True, arcane ward/atb ward are too good and they'll be gone. Since Cid is a mechanic, maybe he could have machinist abilities like deploying turrets or small gadgets that do the same thing? But yeah, I won't be surprised if the final game is a near 10/10 in terms of platinum difficulty. Aerith carries so hard in these brutal challenges.
