For people who are trying to be server first, that's definitely a great source of inspiration. For everyone else: go at your own pace. The leveling is going to be one of the most fun aspects of the game. Don't rush it. Rushing is what burned people out with classic the most. Just enjoy the game. There's no need to rush towards retail.
Here's another possibility: AV Insignia turn-ins! If you've already done Proving Grounds for the rank 1 AV trinket, the remaining quests (with max exalted rep) will rewards ~41k xp as they are now.
I just tested this and it 100% works, I am rank 7 but am not yet exalted on my toon and proving grounds to insignia rank 4 gave me 40,550xp in beta. So, another 2 turn ins should yield another 25k or so.
I remember during the Warlords of Draenor launch there was a big bug with Garrisons - which are the main quest chokepoint of that expansion - meaning hardly anyone could progress. So I just went back to Pandaria and did my dailies, levelled up from it and then skipped through the first zone to the second (which sort of broke the narrative story, to say the least - it was also buggy as hell, but I managed it). If I didn't have near BiS from raiding I might have struggled with the tougher mobs, but it was just fine. Better then battering my head against the glitchy Garrison for hours on end.
You can also keep doing quests that require get X amount of Items, get those items, abandon the quest, delete the items, and on launch day pick up the quest and item restore the items you delete for insta compleition. You can have more than 100 quests ready with that method.
You could also stack BG tokens to turn in, which would be 4 quests, plus re-turning in the additional tokens left over from stacking 20 of each. (you could do more and save them in your bags, but for simplicity sake 20 of each works. Also If you do AV and have not done the Trinket quest and hit exalted you can turn that quest in 6 times.
This is what I've been researching and planning myself, so you just saved me some time, thanks for the notes! Don't think I will bother with the ZG neck and stuff like that on my draenei... also, the cloth quests are pretty expensive, and rep is more of a climb than xp in TBC, so I will likely pass on those too. But rolling tank for my guild, the extra level will help us run dungeons more effectively.
Also it would be nice if you put where these started, like which quest is the beginning quest, it's been a nightmare trying to backtrack all the quests to the main root quest thanks for the guide tho
for myself not raiding in a guild going for world first i still really enjoy the preparing quest process and i found some things to consider with your list 1. As far as i know does the crudely written log only drop if youre on the last quest from the empty firewater questline 2. the exp from warlord´s command is great but this makes you unable to get a head of onyxia 3. the strange red key requires you to go into jaedenar wich will probably take some time and there is a tiny chance someone is allready on the escort quest and you get cucked some extra quest you not mentioned are the Only one may rise + followup quest, Calm before the storm (dont know if alliance got something simillar), if you planing on upgrade your AV trinket you can easily hand in the Summoning Shadra quest and the followup in Undercity
This is good, even with my main i still have loads of dungeon quests etc i never bothered to do, got like 20 quests + alot of items that i never handed in like nef head + aq20 head and broodlord head etc, got AQ40 ring up to honored but saving the last two for tbc release.
If the que to get into outland is bad enough, you might have to grind high level mobs for a day before they spread out. I figure the dungeon grind meta will clear out the world pretty quick. Most of the sweaty guilds will be instanced almost immediately after getting through the portal.

I don't know if that is supposed to be sarcastic or not but I'm looking forward to doing a lot of these things. I hate leveling up and I only have a few hours each night to play. So anything I can do right now to cut back on leveling while I'm bored and just waiting for TBC is amazing.

Between even making it through the portal to being sandboxxed with all those other horde and alliance just getting ganked over and over and competing with 100s of others for quest items

Forgot "Reliquary of Souls" chain there m8 😁 can currently pick felvine shard in DME for second part of the chain and have it in your bags waiting without picking the chain. Also "Elven Legends" doesn't need to be in your log. Also blacksmiths can turn in 3 volumes of armorsmithing manuals for almost 35k XP, warriors and paladins compendium of dragon slaying for 10k and dm class books.
I hope that the Exp reward for these quests Dont change . i know at one point the exp amount drops and the gold reward increases. If this works iut, then yes this would be the most O.P. way of leveling up for the first 6 hours of launch while you dodge the huge lag wave and Disconnect Storm.
You missed the cauldron questline in wpl. Has a “mission accomplished “ quest when you are done worth about 14k and it does not take up a quest log spot. Also a for great honour and win in each bg (get 6 marks of each bg)
Yo a couple of quests in the Neutral category are actually Alliance only quests don't have the time to go thru them again but went thru each one and I think a couple of them were Ally quests only

Do the tier 2.5 quests give xp in TBC? Will instances reset when tbc is opened? In theory on my region they restart at 08:00 and TBC starts at 00:00 so it shouldn't but I am worried of not being able to get my tier 2.5 Thanks for the vid, nice info!
Hey man it doesn't look like you have to have the Twilight Lexicon quest in your log. I received the three books you turn in and wasn't even on the quest yet. So that should open up one more Quest for you to do.
Just one question about this doc.; The Twilight Lexicon quest chain, it says about 30k xp. This quest gives you 11 900 xp + 9 550 for next quest = 12,450 xp. Not 30k, where is the other 18k xp come from?
I think ill just end up grinding in hellfire dungeon at start to get the rep while lvling, and i can't get most of the exp anyway since i already finished most of these quests.
@@marnikxvandorth1205 not enough layers then. My guild leader said before classic started, don’t worry we have layering and there will be no queue , it took months before people could even play when they wanted. Just hope tbc isn’t like that.
@@davidrockefeller2007 Servers will always have caps. the entire reason blizzard added more servers was to lessen the ques. and u pick Faerlina aswell so what did u expext. all servers had ques tho. But we are getting passed the point. For those who logged in 1 second into launch it started out as a laggy slideshow, overcrowded and basicly unplayable. after 20-30 minutes layering kicked in and made the servers stable. so for those inside layering worked (and the intent was never to decrease ques). cheers
You have too much faith in blizzard remember they're only an indie company their servers won't be able to deal with the influx of players all in one location.

i gotta love how this guy presumes your character for TBC never did any of those quests. i did like half the quests he showed in P1 and a few more to optimize my gear for sapphiron. if he made this guide 2 years ago I could have kept an eye up, but none of my chars can do the raid items.
Most of these quests listed here, require a group. You will *not* find 4 more people willing to do all this, instead of jumping through the Dark Portal honestly on the first day TBC opens :D

You forgot the 3 blacksmith quests in winterspring each 14k+ exp, you can finish all 3 if you have BS leveled up

No. At least not in the original. They simply lowered the exp required for lvls up to 58/60
