An amazing desk top. The triangles could be cut to make an inverted "book" pattern! By turning one of the triangles round, you could make a rectangle! Just a thought!
The staining around the hole in the wood at 10:05 looks like fungal stain similar to the aftermath of an ambrosia beetle munching on the wood. Could be a bug left behind some Ambrosiella fungus for you to discover.
I have a weird question. Would it be ideal to get more cross cut boards to have a pie cutter blade. More waste, but cutting perpendicular to grain. Like an apple slicer?
When you did your sawmill build, I was working a lot of overtime and RUclips time was extremely limited. I have a couple questions. What did it cost to build the sawmill? And where go you sell your slabs once they're dried and sterilized ? What do you do with the cut off scraps that you don't use or sell? Thank you, have a good weekend.
What did it cost to build the sawmill? I spent $8500 And where go you sell your slabs once they're dried and sterilized ? I typically don't take them to final drying or sterilizing until they're sold What do you do with the cut off scraps that you don't use or sell? Cut them for firewood or give them away Thanks!
@@mcremona I could use a sawmill that size, I was given a 150 year old oak. Trunk was 5 ft. wide. Ended up cutting it into round slabs. Thanks for your time.
I forgot to decrease volume while watching, wife nearly banned me from the internet after hearing so much talk about crotch and crotch figure. Don't worry, I explained that it is all about wood.
You heard him boys, go glue all his slabs together. He will be laughing about it for weeks. This was a joke, don't glue his slabs together, he would probably not laugh about it and you would probably end up in jail.
There were only a few slabs but spectacular and the possibilities are going to make some artsy-farsty stuff we all enjoy
Looks like your dog was just finishing his/her's own 'slab' 7:50 . Haha!! Love your videos!
I don't think I could explain to someone why this is so fun to watch, but it is! hahaha
Always love your excitement when you see cool things going on with the wood.

Looking forward to the "Oh, Holy Carp, I'm moving all the big stuff!" videos. Nice teaser at the end there...
Great looking slabs Matt. Hopefully your slab sales pick up. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred. 👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋🙏🏻🙏🏻
So glad to see you sawing again.
Gooood afternoon from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great day!
Having a great week after receiving my first vaccine shot!👍👍
Gorgeous wood enough said hello from Australia
Those are really nice slabs, Matt. It looks like at 7:50 your dog was expressing its opinion of the video (lol). Take care.
Bill
Awesome looking wood. Thanks for sharing Matt. God Bless.
Wonderful to see this! Thanks very much, Matt

Beautiful slabs
Nice bit of time travel at 6:00 :)
Dang - I was hoping to see the first slabbing vid from the new property.
It’ll be a while
Matthew, should someone send you a water hose and spray nozzle so you don't have to keep refilling that bucket?!?!😂
yes they should.. Although I don't think he would use it. He really likes pitching water from the bucket. But it's why we watch the guy.
Nice looking slabs 👍👍
thank you Matt
7:50
Top left 😀

Thanks Matt, love your videos
Hi Matt,do you have a video of moving the saw to your new property?
Probably will be out next month. Still catching up on videos
A non-walnut slab.. beautiful of course. 😃.

I love the color of that wood is it open or closed grain?
Love to see another milling video!
4:25 like a what on there? I didn't get that
Are you cutting lumber at the new house yet? Do you plan on cutting lumber at the new house? Will you keep your old house and only cut lumber there?
That background at 7:50.
great artwork, nature is.
I tried to figure out what kind of blade Matt used for his sawmill and I like to find out which company he use
Over/under on first slabbing video at the new house? I'm saying July.
Very cool looking log. Would be fun to make a corner desk out of that V Slab.
I think that’s probably when it will occur but likely won’t be released that month 😂
@@mcremona If it occurs in July it'll come out in November. :)
At this current release schedule. I’ll be catching up once the old house is sold.
25hp petrol engine useful or not,if we build sawmill?
That title in England could easily be mistaken for death threats.
Always interesting, always informative. Thank you
Love that💖💖💖
What do you price the average slab from this at?
Gorgeous is right! So jealous.
When the sawmill going to your new place
Make a live edge Y shaped table but fill in the v with epoxy

Have you moved the saw to the new place now? Always enjoy your videos.....
Moved it a couple weeks ago. Thanks!
@@mcremona oh super, look forward to seeing more projects also on the land maybe. :-)
Living the dream!
I'd like to buy one of the full size slabs, but I fear shipping it to Germany will cost me an arm, a leg and my liver. Best wishes from Germany
It's Matthew 'Crotchety' Cremona
Gorgeous grain patterns. I will ignore the fact that this entire video is an innuendo fest :-). What causes ray fleck please?
Hello from Virginia sir
I had someone in wood class in school glue two of my cutting boards together to fuck with me
? How come the blade doesn't get pinched when you don't remove the previous slabs before cutting the next?
I feel like you enjoy saying crotch. 😄
I certainly do
I would gladly accept one of the slabs with negative space (or any slab at all to be honest) if you're willing to donate it 😆
You heard him boys, go glue all his slabs together. He will be laughing about it for weeks.

😂😂😂
Am I the only person who read this as "Stabbing a Red Oak Crotch"?
unlikely
@@mcremona - Enjoyable video, BTW. Thanks!
Меет, хватит ржать!
Why does that title seem so dirty to me?
all these slabs, all these 100s of buckets of water, why not put a hose there! much easier!
It does have the same wow factor! Lol
