    When your running along the curbs raise the front of the end gate a few turns and turn you auger up a little. It will fill in right against the curb with any shovels or rake. Looks good

      That’s a great trick. I have experimented doing that before. The only thing I found was its tricky to gauge your height from my experience. What are your thoughts? 💭

      @head7502 3 месяца назад

      only raise the front and not the back. As long as you drive straight and stay against the curb it will iron in and you will be able to judge height even better.

    Wow look at that…guys walking behind the paver and actually working. My crew likes to just walk behind the paver looking at their phones. Nice to see people actually doing their job.

      On a job like this there should be no one working behind the paver...

      @@adrian9098 where should they be if they aren’t behind the paver?

      You are absolutely correct, their really shouldn’t be many people working behind the paver. At the same hand I appreciate the comment, we do have a great crew. None of which are too lazy to grab tools and work hard! 💪🏼

      @@joshuaparsons8800 I was talking about the job not about the crew. You should never walk behind the paver unless handwork is required. And if it is you should limit handwork to the smallest possible area. At least this is what they always told me...

    Why does it look like the smaller roller is the break down roller?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  10 месяцев назад

      It does look like that because it’s our roller operators preference to do it that way. HOWEVER, it’s not MY preference and something we have since changed. I agree with what your observation and think it should be opposite.

  • @AsphaltGahd

    Nice work, why doesn’t that roller “pinch” that joint?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  7 месяцев назад

      Can you explain your question in more detail to me?
      Thank you for watching btw.

    • @AsphaltGahd
      @AsphaltGahd 6 месяцев назад

      Pinching a joint is when the roller guy is on the mat previously laid with about 1/2” of the drum pinching the mat being laid. It makes sure the asphalt compacts so that the joint doesn’t unravel.

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  5 месяцев назад

      I think in this video perhaps it just wasn’t displayed properly. If you watch the video I posted after, we pitched the joint in the same manner you’re describing I believe.
