their HD4 18,s are loud and hit hard as hell. people that don't know about soundqubed are paying way to much to get low and loud. they have the most legit price and the sound quality is great to
cloud chaser yes sir!
cloud chaser agreed. my hdc3 12s knock fuckin fierce
djhaloeight how long it takes to break in the hdc3
I got an hds3.1 12 and just comparing sound quality, my mtx 9500 takes the cake forsure but I still love soundqubed they still sound good! And tbh for $340 a mtx 9500 isnt really overpriced if you want a sub that can easily handle 2000 like a champ AND sound extremely clear and musical! The clarity is insane of the 9500s!
Those front tires look extremely bald
glad to see what is attainable on a lower budget. more vids like this one yeah!
These subwoofers are amazing haha! Love it, and good video! :)
Awesome! Best bass dudes on youtube :)
I'm adding a lil bit more to this build before I start the next build which will be a mini wall. getting my northstar 34 put in and my mechman 370 elite put on in the next month!! hopefully squeeze a lil bit more out of this 12
I got a 15 soundqube the 1200w one and I’m currently running it on a 500 w amp and wires lol till I change it it was already in the whip but it thumps so fierce
thats amazing on 1 12" subwoofer!
I had the hds312 on an audio pipe apcl 1500.1. Sadly damaged the coil and took a pic of the former was split and want to get one of these. Great video!
+15killa16 real nice subs for sure, also check out the B2 Audio HN12, www.GPcarAudio.com
Nice
nice
I pulled 144.0 with one HDC3.1 12 on sq 2200 on stock electrical and head unit
thats awesome! I have 4 hdc 15's coming will be running 2 twistedsounds 2.8K's strapped on them hope i can get into the 150's 16cuft box tuned to 34Hz had some RE's but they cant handle the power hope these subs can take it #fingerscrossed
oh yea they'll handle it fine, the HDC3's are very durable
You will actually be underpowering then slightly. HDC315's can take 3k watts a piece all day. Just give them time to loosen up they got some super stiff spiders. If I was you and if you have the cash and electrical I would get one twisted sounds 5k and run it at 1ohm for roughly 1000rms a sub. Maybe less just depends on frequency fluctuation and voltage changes. Could be as high as 1500rms a sub on that amp at 18volts. Will this be a burp build or a daily music monster? If it's burp you could measure box rise to ensure box rise isn't robbing all your power.
Tammy Forbes the 2.8ks dyno over 4000 each each sub is seeing 2000wrms
What's the box specs? Volume? Tuning Frequency?
Just got 2 of these with the sound qubed 2250 amp
Hows the subs Workin out after 8mo
what DB meter is that do u have a link
what are you using to test ?
These subs are identical to the American Bass Elite. Same exact parts other than the cone. That parker kid compared the 2. I have 2 of the AB Elites. They sound great!
I think you mean the HD series. the elite has a 150oz magnet and these HDCs have 300oz magnet and direct leads
@@cn001252 you may be right? I don't know much about sound qubed. But I know they have one that is identical to the American Bass Elite.
The hd maybe definitely not the elite.
out of all your videos I only see you video builds with GP in it whether it's wire or a battery I don't never see you video someone else brand
Thats probably about as loud as my old ford escort that had 2 15`s in it, nice
1 12" sub on 2k, 140db, definitely a good street beater, simple and good right here
+Jesse Gunderson Yup for sure, he's just now getting going, stay tuned for updates on this one, he's going to grow it fast
Tuned in.
I got three 8s on only 1800 watts wired to half ohms
How did you like them? getting rid of my 2 SA12 for 3 HDS208s soon
That's impressive for a single 12.. I have 4 Orion Hcca 12s and I'm about to see if the hdc3 15s will hit harder I'm only.doing 2 hdc3 15s so they gotta be pretty mean to out do my hcca 12s..
Kc n Jessica Mullins anything yet?
Your kidding right hcca will kill these but cost over twice as much and require double the power
I got the same sub, sitting in my closet. Had it in a Atrend box, it blew the baffle apart and got kinda of smelly but it still reads 2ohm and doesn't sound funny when I push on it. What size box is that? I have to get a box built for mine. Got a Soundqubed 2200d
Yea those subs will blow apart prefabs, you've got to build a solid box, ported, at least a double baffle 2 cubic feet internal
Trapperjohn1000 same exact thing happened to my hdc3 10 I'm about to upgrade to 2 12s
I finally got my box built for it. 2.5 cubes double baffle tuned to 32 hz...but I got the wrong ohm so I'm only getting 1300 rms out of my 2200
Trapperjohn1000 how does it perform inn your custom box
do i need to get the big 3 just to run 1 12 and a 1500 rms wat amp? im new to car audio amd wamt to bass hard with just one 12 and a pro box with a good amp what wiring should i use any help plz ? i have true 4 gauge running in my truck
Omar Serrano what's up man, on your wattage we highly recommend the big 3, and 1/0 AWG wire to get the the most out of your setup. check out our Pure Copper made in the USA wiring at www.gpcaraudio.com
a secondary battery will also benefit you to get as much power out of your amp as possible, , the Northstar SMSAGM80 battery as a rear secondary battery will be perfect also listed on the website.
What app
I currently have one HDS312. How much difference would I notice if I replaced it with one HDC312?
Well, the HDC3 has a bigger motor so probably a big difference if you build a good box for it. I had an HDC315 and it played both loud and low (flat response box). Be careful though, the HDC3 and HDC4 are stiff as hell and will take forever to break-in. There's a newer version of the HDC3 (HDC3.1) but I've never tested it.
They dont make the HDC series anymore, the new generation is the HDX. I don't have one myself but the HDX312 looks like a total beast. More power handling, more excursion, more bass
would there be much output difference going from the 1200 I have now on my hdc312 to going to 2k?
Nate Turk it'd definitely be louder for sure, but you need the electrical to support it properly
www.GPcarAudio.com I've got a 110 alt with a agm bat up front with the big 3 and 1/0g throughout.... think that would be enough?
I have the same setup, and it's a no. We may have different batteries though. I'm assuming a 180 - 240 amp alternator is better for 2200 watts.
GP quick question. what size do you recommend for One HDS312? people say 2 to 2.5 but i have 2 cheap audiopipe AP1500's that i can use. I have a 180alt, Big 3, Red top front, 1 Yellow top back, 1/0 wire. The amp was free so that why i'm using it. 2cu @32 or 2.5cu@35?
Master Peon 3.8 cu ft at 25 :D
Do I need a custom box with this sub? I only want 1 12 inch. I have a Q bomb box
Robert Walters yes, pre fabs typically do not have enough airspace or port area.
You'll drastically achieve more output in an enclosure built to the subs specifications
I built the box from the drawings on the soundcubed website. Its pretty awesome and easy to build.
Ok I been out the game many years but am getting the bug again. I'm searching on some newer products and I don't mean to sound like That guy. I'm not sure what meter your using either. My last work ride was a jetta with one RE SX 12 on a RF bd1000. In the truck in a daily 32hz box and I was doing 143 144 on a term lab legal. I mean that's been years and years ago. Idk guess I was expecting more 10 years in the future.
ls gt what's up man. This is the SPL LAB measuring device running on android. Its calibrated spot on to termlab.
Keep in mind, the individual here was a beginner and just getting started. We meter anyone who wants to be metered. I believe this was the first enclosure he had ever built and without remembering the specs, can tell by looking at it that it is lacking some port area.
The enclosure will always make or break your results no matter what driver or power you have going to it. On our channel you can see a single 12" in a wine barrel doing a 147+ from the trunk of a 4 door car. Be sure to subscribe!
www.GPcarAudio.com thanks for the reply and thanks I sure need it. I been out the game a while. Just trying to catch up on the newer brands and see what's out there.
How you figure 500 watts over the recommended 1500 is "low power"? If anything he is overpowering it.
they're rated 1500rms, 3500 peak. they can handle plenty of power.
They seriously underrate their subs, all decent car audio companies do. If the sub is listed at 1500rms it can easily take double that
These subs can take 2000 watts ALL DAY. been running 2k clamped to mike for 2 years solid in my work vehicle. Never had an issue
is that a app??
+James danilson SPL LAB pressure sensor from www.GPcarAudio.com running on the measuring center application by SPL lab, you have to have the pressure sensor to get the readings
im looking fo ra good but cheap spl meter .
big scott what's up man, this is the most inexpensive and accurate db meter on the market, gpcaraudio.com/spl-lab-mini-bass-meter/
what app is that??????
spl lab USB bass meter from gpcaraudio.com on android
+www.GPcarAudio.com link to it ?
+alex gpcaraudio.com/spl-lab-usb-meter/
+www.GPcarAudio.com ohh 399 I'm only 14 I cannot afford that but I am a major bass head thanks for your time
dude, wtf... I have 2x 12's in a 4th order on RP3500 and get NO flexing...
SB B get a sealed box of you want flex and your subs can play In a sealed box. Build it bigger then spec and you should shake everything in sight. Bandpass is good for bass but sometimes not good on moving a lot of air.
nice setup but it seems to me u should have got more db's. I've seen single 12s get 150 db's on less power than that
so this is a good sub for lows? sorry im a n00b
yeah this sub goes crazy with lows and it pounds hard on the low end
not so good on lows, more of a spl sub
I disagree with you. HDC3's can kill some lows!! Especially after their broken in
METHOD MAAAAN
Front tires bald a.f.
