This wasn’t only Jack’s best performance - it was the best performance by any of the contestants this season. I wish he would record it. This guy is the American Idol in my opinion. He’s got all my votes.
This was exceptional. One of the most moving I’ve ever seen on Idol. Most people sing the beautiful words, but Jack has been the first to mean it. It was an admission, an apology, a fight for the relationship, and a promise. Everything was there, and it REALLY just felt incredible, right through the TV. One of the truly great Idol performances.
I thought I was the only one that welled up with tears. Both this song and believe by Cher just hit different. Both made me shed a tear because he’s realizing the artist he’s meant to be in realtime and it just feels so special watching him perform. A lot of good talent this year but no other artist has moved me to tears with their voice alone.
This is what I’ve been saying… he is SO connected to every song he sings. So beautiful. No excessive runs. No showman business. So beautiful. I’m going to be voting for the first time for Jack. My mind is made up for this year’s American Idol winner ^^^^^^

But then he opened up his voice, his hand gestures became one with the words he was singing, and out came his greatest performance yet. Every star has that one standout moment, and this was his. He absolutely killed it. He made me feel the song in a completely different way. God, I can’t get enough of it. Stellar. Flawless. But most importantly, it just oozed out of him. The way he sings really is an art.

Jack is a talented musician, a great song writer, he sings from the soul, he’s likeable, he’s got an incredible voice, he’s a phenomenal story teller, he can sing any genre, he makes you feel emotions, and he can successfully put his unique spin to original songs. Not to mention it’s a Cinderella story that he almost didn’t make it through auditions. No other contestant has the full package like Jack! He’s got the it factor.
