  • The legendary ‪@swisslm4‬ was unique in many ways. At least this footage does not show perfect technique, however, their discipline set them apart from almost everybody else.

This boat inspired so much about technique and continuing my pursuit of rowing; under Ian Wright, that pause technique was absolutely crispy. This boat is still the best looking crew I have ever seen, second is the German eight from 2018...

They look well because they are doing a pose on the finish position that make the boat more synchronized, stable all that create more relaxation during the recovery and that creates more powerful drive it’s a domino effect

Hi Aram, I am a masters rower and indoor rowing coach. I recently had the opportunity to coach a collegiate club rowing team for their fall season and would be grateful to do a video with you on their rowing deficiencies, how I looked to solve them, and ultimately the difference in our mindsets (between the club leadership and I) I have lots of footage of novices progressing through the season which I believe would make for great content for us to discuss together. Kind regards, Justus

would it make sense to add a lat stretch to stretching routine? i usually just do a lizard stretch and swing my arms and legs around. Any recommendations to stretch lat?

A pause at the finish seems to be an area of contention among coaches I have had. Personally I like it in fours too, assuming the pause is more with the the body and not the arms.

Interesting is this only in fours or do some coaches even encourage it in other sweep boats?
