- This is a fairly concise video showing the key thing about disassembly, so you don’t risk shooting the tiny spring across the shop. You’ll thank me when you see what could happen.
*when you see the AC voltage briefly functioning on the meter, the test probes were not shoved into the receptacle tight enough, there was no problem with the power output.
Thanks for showing a good view of the spring mines came out just bought this beast and man I cleaned the heck out of it… used some carb cleaner now it’s good as new
You’ll love the Honda inverter
Great detail and camerawork man, appreciate your effort here
Glad I could help. Thank you for taking time to comment. 👍
I put grease on the spring to keep it from flying off.
I’m not sure if I have the servo motor installed correctly. Does the generator run at idle by default? Mine does. The inverter is suspect as there’s input voltage to the stator but no output voltage. I’m guessing without any power the generator should run at full throttle.
Yes the throttle is at idle when it’s not running. You have it correct. Good tip on that spring.
Great video
@@dalemccollum5204 Thank you for watching and posting a positive comment.
get a tripod!!! you make me seasick!
Got one now. 😁
Excellent video! Did the same fuel tank/carb clean on the identical machine. The ETC spring dropped out and wasn't sure exactly where it came from. THANK YOU! 👍
Thank you for the comment. I’m glad you were successful and did not loose that spring like I almost did.
Thank you for this. The spring popped on me too. I was trying to figure out how to put it back and your video was the answer. Thank you!
You’re welcome. That’s why I tried to give as much detail as possible. Glad you got yours reassembled successfully.
Thanks so much man it really saved me there are no videos that address this
Glad to help. It’s a simple fix but frequently overlooked, and is critical for proper engine operation.
