What Kamala Harris is talking about when she says "America is not racist", is that the idea of America is not racist, what America stands for is not racist, but sadly a lot of people who are citizens on American soil are.
I wonder if identifying as Black would make her politics more palatable. She was a prosecutor in California and has a record. Knowing if she identifies as Black won't help our community in the long run. Look at her actions before she got to the White House. Yes, being relatable matters, but it doesn’t translate to legislation that supports the Black community. President Obama did very little for the community, and people were disappointed. From my perspective, we need to shift the way we judge each other. America is changing, and we have difficult times ahead, particularly in the next eight years. I see Kamala as an unlikely candidate because sitting presidents don't usually step down. Similarly, Donald Trump is an unlikely candidate, indicating to me that the old guard is losing its ability to maintain control. Neither side wanted the two candidates they have, but here we are. This indicates that things are changing energetically, and we are beginning to break free from systems of oppression. It may seem like we have two different parties, but I believe they are essentially the same. The more they keep us distracted, the more power they gain over our community and the entire country. Personally, I don't care if she identifies as Black, Indian, or any other nationality; she will not bring any real systemic change specifically for Black people. Democrats have been playing this game with Black Americans for a very long time.

While it may be true that a few black women won't vote for her, she's already raised 1.5 million from a Zoom call consisting of 40,000 women, mostly AKA's. Why would she say she's not going to do anything specifically for black people? That would be easy ammo for her opposition to use in a debate or attack ads. It would make sense to focus on policies that would benefit a larger section of her base (student loan forgiveness, vocational training for incarcerated inmates, sensible immigration). I can't speak to why she sometimes identifies as Indian other than she is Indian and the context of that statement made sense. I don't see an issue with her being childless or being married to a white man. Ben Carson is married to a black woman and that seems to have no bearing on his policies.
Hey Mark! It’s great to see you here! You make some really valid points. As the days go on, the sentiment that I get is that her message changes depending on her audience. She is giving unstable right now. But I do agree that BW will still vote for her (mostly because she is an AKA).

But she still went to an HBCU and is an AKA, and she grew up in black communities .Her claim that she’s not “only helping black peoples” means she’s helping oppressed people across all races in this country, immigrants included. She’s not perfect, no politician is (including Obama) but we can’t deny it would be a step forward to a better future in the US (over trump)
the notion that someone is not black enough or measuring someone’s blackness is the mentality that William Lynch used to control the slaves and divide one another. Regardless if she’s 100% black or not, SHES STILL BLACKER THAN DONALD TRUMP. And she has a black grandmother, she of course has a heart for the people who she was raised by. As a politician she has to be objective with her language but she couldn’t have been an AKA if she didn’t feel connected to her black roots.
also, as a black woman and an Immigrant, I do feel represented by her, and a lot of black peoples in this country do. Yes, we haven’t got to a president who is 100% black yet, but having someone who is partial is a positive towards a possibility of fully black president

@@roxy191962 maybe but still not as ignorant and stupid as you for voting for a bigot. Have a great day! Why don’t you debate Jon Stewart he makes more sense than you and he’s a comedian.

Project 2025 is not even a thing.
Just sad
wait a minute doing things just to benefit black people is not a good leader. you have to make policies that benefit all
They did for the Asian community ( the asian hate crime bill). They are doing things specifically for the illegal immigrants. Kamala hasn't reached out to the black community. She is not for any community. She is an opportunist and only do things that benefits her personal gain.
The Demoncrats do things that specifically benefit many groups except Blacks they give Asian and Lbgt specific benefits that only they can claim as well as using our tax $ to fund illegal immigrants which adversely affect Blacks the most
That would make sense if you didn't not do things for everyone else like Asians etc smh
But we do and will!
I will be voting for Trump! But, modern western black american women will vote for her! They want a Zaddy 😂😂😂

@@lorettadavis6944 I will never ever follow On Her Knees Harris for Anything! She has locked up more black men in History. Trump 2024
@@lorettadavis6944 No, stupid is when you don't have enough common sense to realize those young men were not proven to be innocent until many years later. At the time...they had confessed to it and alot of people were upset, not just Trump. If you read the ad for yourself, it's plain to see it was not about blacks, it was about criminals. So that worn out excuse to remain ignorant, won't work!
And you must want a Führer! You will be very sorry if he wins because he is NOT for you. You've listened to too many so-called Black Infiltrators who're feeding you misinfomation and propaganda. I suggest that you listen to The Defiant Lawyers, Roland Martin, or Politics by Tabitha.
Its all about politics and getting what you want. Who supports a woman's right to choose? Her race does not matter. How many African Americans have run for president? No time for division . We got to be about the business. Not voting is not an option. We need someone to pick a supreme court justice. There were something we cannot said amoung mixed company. She needs to be the president for all the people. Our young black girl will have someone they can look up to. Obama gave us hope the more than a white man can become president. Trump is wor, inghard along with his conservative supports to create doubt and division amoung poor white a d people of color. Don't fall for the hype.
YES! It seems the people against her want to make it about race the most. The ones who support her know she’s a better option that Trump, a liar, manipulator and a FELON!
He didn't mass incarcerate black men either. But the VP elect did
He helped the bill get signed with Bill Clinton and Killary
No he just took on a full page ad calling for the death penalty of the Central Park 5. They were all innocent. Trump stood by while Covid ran rampant he knew about in advance and did nothing until it had killed half a million Americans. What has he done for blacks or any group. He ran around with a known pedophile in Jeffery Epstein no thanks. Kamala 2024.
a total of 1500 people were caught with weed back when it was illegal, only a hand full of these people went to prison and not all of them were black, the number given was a combined count by the system who did not distinguish between black and white. That’s what it sounds like
she isnt saying racism doesnt exist, shes saying america isnt a racist country, some of the people are racist but that doesnt make the country as a whole racist, pleas stop cherry picking
Yea, it's a conservative talking point that is used as a gotcha for liberal democrats. Of course someone like Tim Scott is going to say America isn't a racist country because his base supports that. But that same question is used against a Kamala Harris and she loses support. We all know racism exist in this country and why stay stuck on that question.
lol, who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes. What country do you live in? This country was BUILT on racism. It has never REPENTED or Repaired its wrongdoing to Black People.
A lot of country is racist though tell us what area of the USA is NOT racist?
You’ve nailed it on the head. I’m definitely in the camp of not voting for her just because of the optics especially when the optics she’s been presenting haven’t been consistent. This will indeed be an interesting election
Sis go vote for Trump.
Just look what’s going on in Venezuela.
They gonna vote for her
She is not black she’s Indian. Her dad said he has no black in him. Her dad is Jamaica.
