Love the channel, the content and this series! I recently got a PS5 and never owned a PS4 (I did own the OG PS, PS2 and PS3), so I’m currently buying PS4 games since they are pretty cheap and plays great on the PS5. Keep this series coming!
Thank you for checking out the Ultimate Alliance games. Glad I bought them when they came out since I was already a fan of them. Always had them installed. Enjoy your Yakuza journey it’s going to be awesome I promise you that. Could even talk about how Yakuza 3/4/5 are on the Pro. I got to finish those on base PS5. And on PS3 back then.
Thanks and you're welcome! A few people complained about showing the Alliance games and I strongly disagree, I showed them for those of us that took the time to invest in them and I'd do it again!
It's just a sharpness filter and not great. Ps5 pro owner here too. If you can hunt out more games that have dynamic scaling and unlocked framerate then more vids like these. Check out the resident evil series, currently playing 2 remake and the RT mode is much improved. Hope to see more of these.
Thanks, yeah I've been trying to make it a point to show PS4 games that benefit more so from the improved framerates and harsh dynamic scaling, the image quality toggle is merely extra, but I do like it when it's noticeable.
That "Godzilla" game first came out on the PS3 & if you want to play a physical copy & not spend a fortune, the PS3 version usually goes for around $50 or less. But it will be in Japanese. No arguments on your praise for "Shadow Of The Colossus". It continues to stand the test of time in a land where time stands still. True there aren't many games like it. In fact there is really only one other game like it "Praey For The Gods". A nice spiritual successor that desperately needs more love...and a physical release.
Agreed that any way you're able to get a copy of Godzilla without spending a fortune would be great. I'll take a look at Praey for the Gods, I've never seen it to speak of.
Generation Zero is a big plus on ps5 vs ps4. On ps4 the screen would constantly aim up and nothing you could do but hold the thumb stick down. On ps5 ( i got a ps5 pro from ps4) it works fine with no scrolling issues also it runs and looks great
Does it run in 60fps like on Xbox Series X? If it's like that it's night and day from what it was originally, also that game has incredible lighting effects.
Thank you! One nice perk of the Pro I'm enjoying right now is the image quality upgrade to Final Fantasy 16 without any new patches, Digital Foundry covered it and the game looks great!
RE2R, PS4 and PS5 version, now reach full 4K on the Pro. Same for the RE4R. Godzilla misfortune was that back then people trusted in revews from sellout people like AngryJoe, IGN, Gamespot etc...
The internal SSD and expansion SSD should both be identical in both having the fastest possible load speeds for games etc, anything external isn't going to be the same in various ways, I'd only use an external as extra storage for moving games around and such, not as a primary way of running games, also I've heard that PS5s have been sensitive in the past about damaging and losing data from externals if they're unplugged improperly. The PS5 Pro has a built in 2tb SSD and that's all I've been using for everything.
I covered that on the first episode, it runs great on PS5 in the high resolution mode but the image enhancement toggle doesn't really seem to do anything because the resolution is beyond 1080p, but, when you play it in the mode that puts it in 1080p for a more stable framerate it does make a bit of difference, but overall it's best to run it in the resolution mode from the PS4 Pro updates because it's a mostly stable framerate and is a much better image quality that any PS5 can do really. I issued that correction in the video.
Sure, it's merely an extra feature, there are a list of reasons why one would get a Pro and that's simply one of many, especially if you don't have a PS5 to begin with, I'd say go with the Pro at that point, but I made it clear by saying to each their own, do what works for YOU.
So I'm not allowed to talk about and showcase delisted games? So ALL the people that invested in said games don't exist eh? Where are these rules written down? It's an entire subject matter all It's own and these games exist, as well as the people that still play them, I just wanted to show and talk about these games and I explained myself more than adequately in the video. Also, it helps raise awareness for possibly forgotten games that maybe could be brought back in some way if enough people ask for it. Countless channels cover games that aren't readily available anymore, it's not uncommon whatsoever.
@@RetroMediaRoom my only issue with this video is the inclusion of MA1 and MA2 since those games are delisted digitally and never had a physical release. And i love this series and others on your channel but this part of the vid i did not enjoy since the percentage of people who do have those games before they were delisted is basically nonexistant. its like showing me something i can never have and saying look how good this looks etc
@RetroMediaRoom Bro it's useless to talk about a game no one can get anymore talking about how good they are for what? It's an obsolete game. And some of them was digital only which makes it worse because people don't even have the opportunity to get a physical.

Thank you very much! It is a good time to collect PS4 games, happy hunting! Also, gamers like YOU are who I'm making this series for.

@ exactly why I decided to thank you for it.
Looking forward for the next episode.
Sweet! I've already got a long list of games building up so many more planned 😀

@@RetroMediaRoom Wish Driveclub would get a ps5 pro patch.
Honestly, they need to do A LOT more Pro patches and stop messin around 😅

@RetroMediaRoom yes they released an update early last year for 60fps. Very smooth now
I need to check it out on PS5 then, I got it recently as a monthly PS Plus game so why not 😃
I really want to upgrade to a PS5 Pro. Great video!
Thank you! One nice perk of the Pro I'm enjoying right now is the image quality upgrade to Final Fantasy 16 without any new patches, Digital Foundry covered it and the game looks great!
@@RetroMediaRoom Yeah, playing both FF Rebirth and 16 on the Pro and really appreciating the increase in graphical fidelity over the base PS5.
Especially FFVII Rebirth getting the full PSSR treatment, I hope to see more improvements like that.
RE2R, PS4 and PS5 version, now reach full 4K on the Pro. Same for the RE4R.
Godzilla misfortune was that back then people trusted in revews from sellout people like AngryJoe, IGN, Gamespot etc...
Yeah it never deserved any of the hate it got. RE4R really is running great on the Pro, I'll be playing it's VR mode soon.
Do they run the same if they are on the console storage, an ssd, an external hardrive? I have all 3 on my ps5

@ thanks for the detailed response. I accidentally turned my ps5 off without safely stop using it I hope it’s still ok. It was annoying on the ps4.
Do you think Brothers: a tale of two sons remake looks better on PS5 pro.
I don't know I don't own the game so I can't say either way.
Second son on PS5 pro is noticeably better on pro with pssr.

Crazy you ask if $700 is worth playing your PS4 games. Like who went out and bought a PS5 Pro just to play PS4 games that its upscaler hrlps.

You're a special type of mouth breather
I don't mean no harm but this is a list of a bunch of delisted games this video is a bit unless.
@@fameismine2 what u mean by delisted?

Guys, some people still own these games, i have shadow of the Colossus in physical copy and i find this video quite good.
