I'm so glad you enjoyed that footage. Our campsite was home to the Swainson's Thrush. The warblers were beautiful. Seeing the Sandhill Cranes in that overgrown field was a thrill and more so when I noticed they had chicks or "colts" with them!
Enjoyed everything about this video but have a special place in our hearts for Miley as we adore cats and have rescued many in our lives. Yes...we need bug nets to go where we want to go. The information you provide on campgrounds etc. is absolutely wonderful for us...thank you so much. Another site we came across lately is Adventures of A + K...you both might enjoy it. Happy Trails and Tails for Miley!!
Shirley! Great to hear from you. I'm delighted to hear that you're a cat-lover. I mean we love and have had both cats and dogs but for our active lifestyle at this stage in our lives, having Miley suits us so much more. Glad to hear you love watching her during our camping season. Thanks for your specific feedback - glad to hear that the campground information is helpful for you...and yes, bug nets keep us sane. Thanks for the recommendation...we'll check them out!
Just finished part 2, enjoyed both segments thoroughly. I think I'll have to head out that way again, it's just so ruggedly beautiful. Thanks for sharing. As always, your photography is top-notch. 👍
I'm glad to hear that you might plan to head back up Sleeping Giant way. I love the ruggedness of that area, and its beauty. You feedback means a lot to me - since I enjoy your videography too...love your drone shots. I have to get better at using mine! Thanks for watching.
My old stomping ground! I used to cross country ski there as well as hike and mountain bike. The pelicans are new up there in the last 10 years, never had them there growing up. It's a great park, hope you have a great time! Looks like a wonderful summer of camping for you all.
Wow Jean, you used to spend time up there? What a beautiful park and area! Loved seeing the pelicans...so majestic. Stay tuned for next week's adventures in Part 2....OMG. And yes, summer camping was great...happy to be home now for a few weeks before we head out for another round of camping. Thanks for watching.
Another wonderful series, as always! Question: so did you guys start this leg of your trip at the northern-most destination of Sleeping Giant and then work your way down to Lake Superior, Killbear, etc.?
Hi Melanie, Thanks for watching! We started in Southwestern ON, then headed to Chutes, then Neys, then Sleeping Giant as our farthest destination. On the way home, it was Lake Superior, then Killbear. So 5 parks in total for this camping trip. You can check the playlist Camping 2023 to see the others if you're interested. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video ... I loved every aspect of your time spent at the Park. Thanks for taking us along.
Just beautiful video of the thrush and the warblers singing plus the cranes!
