But as foreign healthcare professionals, you have so many unique qualities that you can use to your advantage - being able to communicate in your native tongue is one, providing a different perspective to healthcare is another, and possessing the power of resilience (often underestimated) that molds you into a better candidate for residency.

very helpful insights! thank you for sharing
Thanks to explain 👍👍
Thank you so much for sharing! I am aspiring to be there too soon!! 😍✌️☺️
Ahh, so exciting! It’ll be such a fun adventure!!
❤️❤️
hey, I'm so grateful to you for sharing this, despite the cons this is so encouraging for a non-US IMG! I'm currently in med school in Italy and it would be a dream to match into residency in the US, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can on the topic. Do you feel that my final grade could be of any relevance for my CV in the US? (we have a completely different grading system)
👍👍nice video
Nice video..
Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience! Would you mind sharing with us what kind of job you’re working while pursuing the steps? Is it in healthcare? I might need to take a ‘gap’ year after graduating to prepare for the steps, and I’m curious what types of jobs we could get to sustain ourselves and also maybe justify the gap year… Wish you all the best in your journey!
Nice
hi doc! i'm following you on your instagram too but it's only now that i got to check out your youtube channel. good stuff! anyway, i was just wondering how you're able to stay longterm in the usa despite being a non-US IMG? and i saw you're getting married to i assume is a US citizen. does that mean you'll now become a US IMG? thanks for the clarification in advance!
Which phase of your journey are u in ,did u match
Thank you for sharing ! Do you know what are the medical schools in the Philippines that are certified by ECFMG?
Hiya! Do you mean a list of medical schools that are accredited? You can check the World Federation for Medical Education website for a list of accredited schools that ECFMG recognizes :)
@@KristinaInKentucky Thank you ❤️
Thanks for the video!! ❤️ Was ur English accent always almost american or did it get like that after u moved there?
Hiya! I think I’ve always been comfortable communicating in English even when I was in the Philippines. Coming to the U.S. just solidified that even more :)
@@KristinaInKentucky that's good!!👍🏼
I know it's not relevant to the video but you have beautiful hair
if you are a non-US IMG, how are you staying long term? Do you have a green card or a working visa?
same question!
it's called a j-1 visa
Can you change j1 visa to a green card?
Hey there I am an img too:) I was wondering how long do you plan to study for the usmle step 1?:)
Hi Natalie! I got your email and will respond in full this weekend 🤍
@@KristinaInKentucky thank you so much I really appreciate it! I just found your channel here and I love it, it feels good to be "not the only one" who goes through all the IMG stress 😀❤
Would you able to send me too?
Would you know if the UK is also a good place for IMGs? Hehe
Hi there! Are you filipino as well?
@@KristinaInKentucky yes 😃
I would suggest following @doctorsfromph on Instagram and reaching out to them! They’re a community for Filipino doctors that are already in the UK or are about to prepare for the exams. They also have a RUclips channel also called “doctorsfromPH” :)
@@KristinaInKentucky Thank you! 😍
Marunong po kayo mag Filipino?
Oo naman. Marunong din akong mag ilocano! :)
