Thank you, Peter! With your help, I just learned how to use my camera after a year of playing around with it. I appreciate seeing what the photos will look like too!
@Peter Elgar I've lived on the west coast and I'm a different generation than Jimmy. I did run into a Brit from Burnham on Crouch though, it is a small world. I have a Chinon (Pentax clone) I bought in 1982-ish. The metering lights still light up inside the viewfinder after 40 years! I think I learned from you, that'll be the mercury batteries. The flash I got with it still works after sitting for decades and I've converted the 50mm f1.7 kit lens to use on my digital camera. I'm glad you're making videos Peter, thanks.
Nice video! I have had the same problem with loading a similar point and shoot. At least this one is smart enough to tell you it's not properly loaded. Mine didn't and I figured it out, but not till I thought I had taken 5 or more pics ( the film advancing sound was off). Have a good evening! ❤ From Texas
You may find pictures at the telephoto end weren't sharp because the camera stops down to a ridiculously small aperture, necessitating the use of a tripod. This is true of most tele compacts, and certainly the case with my Pentax Espio 200. You would need something like 1600 ASA in British weather to keep the shutter speed up at f11 or f16.
@@theoldfilmbloke Evening Peter, Very sorry to hear that you have been ill and in hospital. Glad you are back home. Look after yourself take care and get well. Best regards Geoff.

Nice video, Peter! It's a good illustration of what a pain it can be sometimes to load the film correctly too.
