The new LeTourneau L-1150 wheel loader has a bucket capacity of 19.1 - 24.5 qubic metres and an operating payload of 34.47 tonnes (high lift - 31.7 tonnes). L-1150 loads dump trucks with fewer loading operations. This allows enhanced productivity per hour (shorter time to fully load a dump truck also results in lower fuel consumption). This continuous shot demonstrates exact loading time ( two and a half minutes).

I was one of the first guys to run this actual machine.This video dose not do it justice. In a reasonable heap of coal with correct truck placement I was able to get cycle times down to 27 seconds, but average around the 30 second cycle times. Beautiful machine to operate.

Thanks for your comments! Well, L-1150's operating payload is 34 tonnes and 785C's are rated 'up to 150 tonnes'. Cheers!

@mrbluenun A Volvo L350F can load over 20 metric tons of rock in each bucket, and it weights up to 56 met. tons. The LeTourneau L-1150 is at 140 tons, so 30tons in each bucket isnt that strange IMO! Sure it has a greater dumping height than a L350F but it is a much larger machine.
Sooo much work being produced. ..! Mans abilities to invent machines beyond the kids plastic shovel and bucket never ceases to amaze me... Thanks for the vedio film...!!! Gordon in Maui (here we have humongous tractor/trailer combo to haul burned sugar cane stock from field to factory - I'd like to put that on film to share with you guys...)
