I always thought seals didnt have fur... and that it was skin... AND YOURE TELLING ME THEY HAVE FUR?? AND ITS FLUFFY???
For those who don't know, this is Niko, a male Baikal seal. They only populate ONE place in the entire world, and that's Lake Baikal, located in Siberia, which makes them the ONLY fresh water seals in the world!.. They also happen to be the smallest species of seal, which makes them extra cute. 🦭💞
EDIT: Apparently, I've made a couple of errors in my post. Baikal seals are small, yes, but it's actually the ringed seal of Lake Saimaa that is the smallest species of true seal (which also means that the Baikal seal is actually NOT the only fresh water seal in the world). I apologize for the misinformation.

何故神は眉毛ある風に作ったのだろうか。有能過ぎる。
思いました！なんなんでしょうか、この罪作りなマロ眉は…かわいい以外の言葉が出てこない…
何だろうなぁ。スポーツ選手が日差しの眩しさを軽減するために目の下に黒いペイントをしたりするけど、それに近い役割だったり？簡易サングラスみたいなものなのかな。このアザラシの生息地って氷に覆われているイメージだし、光が氷に当たった時にレンズみたいに反射しまくって結構眩しいと思うんだよね。
あとほら、エスキモーの人たちって寒冷地に住んでる割には肌が浅黒いじゃん？あれって確か強い紫外線から肌を守るためにメラニン色素が多めだって聞いたことある。けっこう自信あるかも、この説。（間違ってる可能性大）

Trust me you won't regret it.... Seal fur are some of the weirdly soft but little bit prickly coat (that is very enjoyable) to touch... and the blubber is a plus to the squishy soft texture
