- Guangzhou is at the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, the most-populous built-up metropolitan area in the world,
Guangzhou has one of the most expensive real estate markets in China.
Due to a high urban population and large volumes of port traffic, Guangzhou is classified as a Large-Port Megacity, the largest type of port-city in the world.
A city as busy as New York, it creates its own blend of modern and ancient Chinese culture.
As a foreigner living in China, i have experienced Shenzhen, Dongguan, alongside other provinces and cities but this video takes a deeper look at Guangzhou daily life. Enjoy!

Why would media show it? Don’t think they ever show Singapore or other places . However, great western documentaries and articles on Chinese growth and infrastructure. Do you get help being critical about western media? Seems everyone exaggerates

Freedom to me : everyone can go anywhere and anytime they want to go safely. If people can’t go to certain areas anytime, and can’t go outside when it’s dark because it’s too dangerous, that’s not freedom at all

Willene: you made another fantastic video. For the past 25 years (before COVID), I would visit Guangzhou once every 2-3 years. My mom would visit twice a year because Guangzhou is her hometown. The whole family love visiting Guangzhou. My sisters and I (8 of us) really, really love the food. We eat at least 6 meals a day and with snacks in between. We don’t gain weight because it’s so hot; we walk everywhere and sweat all day long. People are very friendly and always approach us and wanting to know where we are from. All of us are tall (5 feet 8 - 5 feet 10) and we are slender and very athletic. We speak English to each other as our Mandarin is not good. (We can pass in Cantonese.). The locals can tell that we are foreigners by the way we dress and by our mannerisms. Seeing your video makes us missing Guangzhou a lot. We have not visited since the beginning of COVID. We are planning another family trip to China and definitely Guangzhou will be our first stop. You should do a video on the nightlife of Guangzhou. It is out of this world. Besides the great dining experiences, there’s fantastic & vibrant night clubs where everybody loves dancing, night markets where you can buy anything you want, illuminating buildings and high rises, awesome drone shows, street artists performances and you can even go to the malls and theaters until very late at night. And it’s relatively inexpensive and very safe environment. Guangzhou is so clean; no graffiti anywhere, the buses & trams are clean, comfortable & convenient.

Thanks brother!🙏🏾. The truth is that my Chinese is not yet perfect yet but at least I’m able to learn fast due to how friendly the the people are. My tip for you: Just be open and try to learn more. It doesn’t matter if you make some mistakes at the beginning. It’ll all make sense after a while. One fact: Chinese do not laugh at you for trying to speak their language even with a broken accent which has also helped me gain more confidence. Welcome again to Beijing bro! Enjoy!🙏🏾😊

Very beautiful city
You missed the best part. Downtown, on the Yangtze River, they have dragon boat rides. At night, the city glistens with color, style and beauty...I especially liked the Opera House. After the boat rides, they have those huge fish tank restaurants, the service guy fishes your still alive fish out the tank, and then prepared in Cantonese Steam Fish style whoa so good! China is the most interesting cultural place in the world, for those of us lucky ones who have actually been there.

這次來我們廣州啦。
但你吃的“牛腩飯”一看就不行，你去的現代化新城區都沒有真正廣州的美食，都是些出品不太行的一些行貨。
要吃廣州美食要到“西關”、“越秀”、“東山”這些真正是廣州的區域，也叫老城區。
去新城區消費又貴又不好吃，怕被騙就直接去“德政路”、“西華路”、“越秀南”、“海珠路”這些真廣州美食路段去消費，哪裡比較多廣州人開的食店。
中山七路的“食為先”酒家，哪裡吃東西很便宜，出品也是真宗的廣州菜色。
來廣州旅遊建議去“六榕寺”、“南越王墓”、“五仙觀”、“魯迅博物館”、“大元帥府”、“光孝寺”，這些都是廣州極具代表性的文化古跡。
新城區的高樓大夏美式建築全世界那個城市都有，大同小二。

Both cash and card will be acceptable. I think. The ferry goes to city center. Depends where you are and where you want to go.

After the Pandemic HK tourist can get the High speed train to Guangzhounan and Guangzhoudong station from West Kowloon station in HK for cross to immigrations are HK and China side immigration and then enter the train in HK after cross two immigrations are HK and then China after arrived in Guangzhou two St stations can used passports and HRP card by machine and human services counter to enter Guangzhou trip. Guangzhoudong is the former through train to HK local and after 3 years pandemic is changed to High speed train to HK West Kowloon station is same as Guangzhounan station also.

Dude, if you were in the U.S. cities walking around like you do with the camera and looking like a 100% video tourist, you would have been beaten, robbed, and possibly killed in the streets. China is modern and wealthy but most importantly SAFE! Record more modern views and do some safety aspects of China or Asia in general. I don't see any homeless people stabbing and raping and harassing people like here in the US. incredible.
