Released 1975. Paul Rodgers started to come up with the lyrics at a camp in California while touring the US with Free. He was 19 years old. After several years, Rodgers played it to Bad Company guitarist Mick Ralphs who threw in that big chord in the chorus - the muted 'duh-duh' that marks the shift from country ballad to chest-beating rocker.
Thanks muchly for this Jamel. First time I met my wife was at a small party with a few friends, we were all sitting around talking about our fav music groups. I mentioned Bad Company.
I never get tired of hearing this and Can’t Get Enough
Thanks muchly for this Jamel.
First time I met my wife was at a small party with a few friends, we were all sitting around talking about our fav music groups.
I mentioned Bad Company.
She'd never heard of them & asked what songs they did.
Without thinking, I said "Feel like making love"... then I saw a slight blush & the look on her face... and my mind went COMPLETELY BLANK on the rest of their hits!
Ah....... ah........ ah.......
Everyone else in attendance burst out laughing as I struggled like mad to get my memory in gear & recover.
Nope... Was lost in her smile.
We've been together now over 30 years, 23 of them married.
