thank you so much Mike for taking the time to teach want to be guitar players and some that know guitar these beautiful songs from the past. I so much appreciated brother and I play along with a lot of your songs and love them especially the Beatles you're very good at teaching and keeping people's interest. kudos to you brother
Mike, I always enjoy the history and background in your lessons. Anyone can show us the fretting, but your lessons have that extra umph! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for saying that. I appreciate it! And yea. I think when you know a little history about the players and the song it allows one to get inside of it a bit more and recreate the tune more accurately.
Thanks for the this, I'm a beginner and a massive free/bad company fan. There are a lot of useful techniques in the song which are totally do-able for a beginner, with plenty of practice.
Hi Mike. Learned this song a while back but had forgotten most of it. Your lesson not only brought me back up to speed but also tided up some mistakes I was making. Many thanks.
Great lesson for a great song! I've noticed a lot of great songs have fairly simple lead parts...easier for people to remember. They stick in your head! Those guys were great!👍😎🎸🎶
Hey mike I saw bad company in V.A. AWESOME, I CAME TO YOU BECAUSE OF THE BEATLES AND YOU TAKE YOUR TIME BECAUSE YOU KNOW EVERYONE IS AT A DIFFERENT LEVEL,I ALSO LOVE MICK RALPHS,AND BAD COMPANY, I SUBSCRIBED, THANKS AGAIN.
Great Lesson Mike! I enjoy listening to you and watching also and that's saying something really good cause I really avoid guys that chatter a bunch but you choose your words with care and efficiency, everything you say is pertinent and beneficial and you play early on and very well. I will check out your channel first when I am looking for how to play a tune.
'Learned loads from this and still learning!! Excellent tuition - played at speed and then broken down is really helpful and good camera angle..All good and much appreciated! Well Done. (Mark Freeman)
This is an absolutely fantastic lesson. I've never seen your videos before, but if this is anything to go by then I've just stumbled upon an absolute gem of a channel. I've given a donation on your website and I'd encourage anybody else to do the same. Great stuff!
Thanks Mike,,, Boy, songs like this seem so ancient now ! Unbelievable!!! Still great stuff ! My first RocknRoll T-Shirt was a Bad Company one !!! I think I washed and wore it everyday until it disappeared !!!! Lol !!!! ,, 😁🖒✌🕇💕🌴
Brilliant analogy Mike. A lot of the times we need to research who played what part especially in bands that have several guitarist's that maybe coming and going or standing in for whatever reasons. sometimes different guitarist's play the same tune but don't all play those exact original notes. You definitely nailed it historically and musically and not being afraid to try out different notes if your a lone Guitarist to fill in that odd note that you can hear coming from a 2nd or 3rd guitarist is definitely a must to enhance your skills and sound quality. Excellent Tutorial Mike. Keep those tunes coming ☺
Wow! Where have you been hiding all this time? This is the first time I’ve seen your video, and it has to be one of the absolute best tutorials I’ve ever seen! I rushed over to your website and left a tip. Subscribed!
OldSilkRoad - "Hiding?" I've been posting videos for 13 years! Where have you been!? lol Glad you found me and thanks for the "tip." I really appreciate your support!!
Mike, Because of your treatment of this song, and your great explanations of the nuances, I was wondering if you'd cover Gimme Danger by Iggy & the Stooges. I don't know if you like Iggy Pop, but that song in particular has some incredibly subtle rock parts that I think you would really appreciate. I know it's not Beatles, but thought I'd run it by you. Thanks.
Hi Joann - thanks for the kudos. I appreciate it. Due to the vast amount of time, preparation, research, learning, mastering, recording, video taping, editing, etc. it takes to do an instructional video - I have to choose material that I truly love. I have nothing against Iggy - I understand the importance he plays in R&R history - but I'm just not that excited about delving deep in to his art. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
I understand. I was hoping, but can't win 'em all! I really like the work you do, not because I'm a big Beatles fan, but because of the thought and experience you bring to your presentations. Have a great New Year! - J.
I feel like this song is the base prototype for all modern rock songs from 1990 onwards. Radiohead's "Creep" is basically a reboot in every way, and I even hear Nirvana pulling inspiration from this track.
You are the hell of a guitarist, man! Love your style!
thank you so much Mike for taking the time to teach want to be guitar players and some that know guitar these beautiful songs from the past. I so much appreciated brother and I play along with a lot of your songs and love them especially the Beatles you're very good at teaching and keeping people's interest. kudos to you brother
Mike this is a Brilliant break down of the song.. the detail for each of sounds and teaching calm mojo is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for teaching this without too much ungodly distortion ( like many others do) . VERY good tutorial!!!!!
Mike your insights into these classic songs are unparalleled. As is your guitar playing. Thank you.

Thanks for covering tone and effects, and showing some of the nuance of how it was played. It rocks hard, but can be subtle. Great job! So helpful!
Mike, I couldn't stop watching. I had to get back to work, but I was transfixed on your cover! Thank you for your demonstration and side notes.
Hi Mike. Learned this song a while back but had forgotten most of it. Your lesson not only brought me back up to speed but also tided up some mistakes I was making. Many thanks.

Nice job I can play but you made it easy to pick up the main guitar... I was unsure what they did!!!
Here I am looking at a sunburst Les Paul and here I am playing a Sunburst Les Paul copy just going back to the old days. The good old days.
Learned something new. Very cool

That Les Paul is a beauty. The inlays look super nice. Abalone.
@real - She's a re-issue 1960 classic. Try one out at your local big box store - then buy one used on eBay or REVERB. They are all very consistent.
