- Over the New Year we spent some time in Aviemore and the Cairngorms, as you know, a beautiful area of the world! We decided not to venture deep into the mountains on this occasion to show you that you can create an exceptionally good adventure without going deep into the wilderness.
We started off with a visit to Coire an t-Sneachda, one of the most accessible of Britain's high mountain corries. We sat and had lunch whilst watching the climbers on the technical routes, hearing there climbing commands being shouted between each other from time to time. There were also many groups ascending the less technical frozen snow chutes around the goat track area. See if you can spot them in the film, really does give you a sense of scale. A superb amphitheatre from which to watch the adventures of others, it was bloody cold though! It was then time to get to our bivy area for the night so we swapped the boots for the bikes!
We hope you enjoy our latest offering. If you did please feel free to share and subscribe, or SUBSCRIBLE, that's a better word ! ;-) Spot the typo on the film!

I've only just subscribed myself, but already im hooked on the adventures you go on. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing some very beautiful locations with us. All the best Gary.
Hi Gary, Really sorry, no idea how we missed this comment. Thank you very much, really is appreciated !!
What an EPIC adventure! Some great footage as well. 👍
Julian Baird - Landscape Photography thanks for your kind comments. 😀🤘😀
Brilliant D&L, the Northern Corries looked fab as did the fat bikes through the Scots Pines and what a fine bivi out to top off a great trip.
Cheers
Robin
Walk With Wallace 👣 Robin thank you. Was a lovely gentle, no rush kinda adventure. The bike footage would have been better had my drone footage not went wonky! Was gutted, had some amazing shots. 😀👍
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 the no rush adventure was certainly the vibe I got. 😁 Drone footage looked alright, light conditions could have been better. But we can't control that. 😅
Superb, yer good on the auld drone eh 😉😊👏
Bored Camperz haha thank you! Drone users seem to be on the naughty step at the moment. 😀🙏🤘
Fantastic.
Love that singletrack down to Coylumbridge & Rothiemurchus. You're braver than me though just sleeping out. I'd have had to use a tent, keep my tootsies warm 😊
Greg S Haha... no such thing as cold toes just poor sock selection! 😂 Thanks, it’s a great section to ride but then again the whole area is awesome. Thanks for watching Greg.
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 Ive a pair of 45nth Wölvhammer winter riding boots & still get cold feet. Bad circulation & duff socks most likely.
Greg S hahaa .... new feet required 😂 🦶
Awesome Video. Looked A Great Place To Explore. Keep It Up
Nature Nerd Outdoors thank you! 😀🙏 Yeah it is a stunning area. Well worth the visit.
Happy New year both of you and really enjoyed that. It looked very cold and you both looked cosy in the bivvy bags. Great film thanks for sharing ATB ALAN GREGORY ADVENTURES 😁
Alan Gregory Adventures THE GREAT OUTDOORS thanks for watching, it was a bit of a long one but hopefully you found it a nice watch. Happy New Year mate. 😀🙏

Murray
Scotland's Mountains Yeah would be nice to see it hang around! Thanks for you watch Murray. D&L 😀🙏
Always great viewing I be watching to see what you get up to. You'll be thanking alot more subs next year. ATB.
Scots Wildcamper thanks for your support. Glad you enjoy our little adventures and thanks for the engagement. 😀🙏
Lovely video, places and you two folk. Your GoPro flattens descents out and doesn’t show you were flowing downhill.
Brian Firstly what a really nice comment thank you! Yeah it a very good down hill with a few wee steep parts. It’s a shame it does come out like that. We had some drone footage that would have been great but we had a wee recording malfunction... cough cough! 😀👍
It’s the same on WW kayaking videos I take, everything looks flat. I didn’t realise it was so downhill until I noticed your lady wasn’t pedalling and occasionally dabbing the brakes. What an inspirational thing it is.
Amazing video. ABout 10mins in you are on a wider gravel path, where is this? :)
Neil Thanks for watching. It’s a path that comes down from the Lairig Ghru depending on the direct you take it will take you to Loch Morlich and a number of other places.
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 Brilliant, thank you. Looks like some pretty great paths for me to explore on my handcycle. Cheers and look forward to seeing more of your adventures now that I've subscribed 👍
Neil Russell thanks for subscribing. There really are many tracks that would be suitable for you and your handcycle. You could go for miles exploring the Rothiemurchas and Glenmore forests. Worth checking out the maps, rothiemurchas forestry commission website etc. So much to see.
Hmmm Maccaroni Cheese.... yam yam....
