Project STAHR: Testing a hybrid rocket engine - A propulsion test campaign documentation

In spring 2023 STAHR successfully conducted its second propulsion test campaign at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. , test centre M11 in Lampoldshausen.
Building on our experiences from our subscale test bench at RWTH Aachen and the last test campaign at the M11 test bench we successfully validated our battleship engine for the full liquid burn time of 20 seconds. 🔥
We also tested the addition of a mixing disk inside the combustion chamber for an improved efficiency throughout 6 engine tests during the two weeks the propulsion test team stayed in Lampoldshausen.
