Yeah from what I understand the boys were trying to do the ebike hack which is where if you rent an ebike from a station that has ONLY ebikes then you don't have to pay the ebike surcharge. So they had docked the bikes to avoid charges from their last ride and they were waiting for all the pedal bikes to be hired from that station so then that station would have ONLY ebikes. They were basically forcing riders to take the pedal bikes. They didn't leave the station for another 1/2hr until that happened. It was a scam. Maybe not against her but they were trying to force other riders to aid them in their scheme. I usually don't get into these kinds of debate but if you can't call for help in situations where you feel like you need help then there is a problem and this should apply to everyone.

I think it seems out of hand since we see contents from America about racism a lot. I'm a half Filipino living in Japan and the topic of racism, toxic body positivity, transgender, nonbinary people and pronouns just blows mind.

There are 2 kinds of ebikes. The newer models have a larger battery, but the original still goes 18 MPH. She had more options than he did. Uber/Cab/ Public transit. Fit or not, if those teens wanted to inflict harm, they could have. If she felt comfortable tussling over an ebike, I dont think I believe she felt threatened. She just knew she wasnt going to convince these kids to give the bike up, and maybe hoped someone else would. Thats dangerous with all the off duty cowboys walking the streets. The reservation ensures that the bike will not be gone when she goes down to the rental rack. It is for a specific bike.

It was on his account when he said that because he forcibly pushed her back into the docking station(which is technically assault) and scanned it while she was still on it. Nate the lawyer went through it and if you look carefully, this happens on video. After she left, he redocked it and didn’t leave for another half hour, presumably while preventing anyone else from using it which is incredibly entitled behavior. He catches the fact that the boy had surreptitiously scanned the bar code after pushing the bike back on the rack, that’s why he has a scan at 7:25pm. The boys were exploiting the 45 minute limit on a discount low-income CITIbike program, by docking the bike and then blocking others from taking it, so they can take it again for another discounted 45 minutes. The specific bike is an eBike with a battery assist.
Being on a bike then suddenly surrounded by 5 people is quite frightening. Grabbing her and her bike and pushing her is assault. It is reasonable to believe that if this encounter was not being filmed, it could have ended in a pregnant woman, bloodied and dying, lying on the street. Just look at the marines in California who were surrounded by about 5 similar aged boys and beaten, kicked and nearly killed.
The woman apparently approached the boys, not the other way. I encourage you to do a little more research. This was a bike rental dispute handled very poorly by both pregnant women and boys. Nothing more.

The research shows that 5 men thought they could intimidate and assault a pregnant women and get away with it... and unfortunately they did. They should be charged with assault. You play the fallacy of the middle ground near the end of the video. There is a very clear side that is correct here. Both sides produced paperwork supporting the woman's version of events. People who are wrong are also notorious for making up false stories and presenting them as truth. Yup - i rode my 10-speed to work up to around my 6th or 7th month. At that point, my baby bump became uncomfortable during the act of pedaling the bike. It also threw me off balance, and the weight of the baby + contents of my uterus, was hurting my 118-lb body - namely, my lower back and abdominal muscles. Even that seemingly low amount of weight puts very uncomfortable pressure on your internal organs, too - esp while peddaling a bike. I was in the military and exceedingly fit before and throughout 3 pregnancies, and even i had to limit certain strenuous physical activities after a certain point. Why people just gloss over this woman's physical encumbrances is a mystery to me (well - no it's no mystery - it's the ideology that promotes demonization of white people). I agree with Brett about Sarah's cringe and annoying caterwauling. Not something i would have done, and it just sounds ridiculous and overly dramatic. It wasn’t their bike. The rules state they have to dock it for a period of time So no one monopolizes the use of the bike. They were purposefully breaking the rules by docking it BUT squatting… so nobody could rightfully take the bike. . Wrongfully claiming it even though it was docked so no one else could have it. They didn’t even ride the bike for about 40 min after the took it from the pregnant PA and forced her to redock it.

In a comment I read close to the time her lawyer disclosed her receipt, she had apparently booked the bike via the app as she was leaving the hospital. The app then allocated that particular bike as it was available.This would explain why she bee-lined towards it.
That is what I assumed had happened. She scanned the code to verify it in the app because that is how they make sure you are on the right one and that their inventory is correct.
The sister said that there were other bikes and that really doesn’t matter bc the teen was not renting it at the time that the nurse rented it. The reason why she wanted that specific bike is because they are the new kind that will assist you electrically. The other bikes that were available were the kind you need to pedal with no assistance. So instead of letting a pregnant woman use a bike that would have helped her that kid denied her the right that we all have to rent the bike. Evidently these e bikes are very valuable and criminals have been known to steal them after someone else rented it. The person on the account is then on the hook for the price of a new e bike. Yeah from what I understand the boys were trying to do the ebike hack which is where if you rent an ebike from a station that has ONLY ebikes then you don't have to pay the ebike surcharge. So they had docked the bikes to avoid charges from their last ride and they were waiting for all the pedal bikes to be hired from that station so then that station would have ONLY ebikes. They were basically forcing riders to take the pedal bikes. They didn't leave the station for another 1/2hr until that happened.
It was a scam. Maybe not against her but they were trying to force other riders to aid them in their scheme.

Then they get to the point we saw in the video and after the video she went and got another non-electric bike. That's why she has 2 receipts one min after the other and and the 1st one is $0.00 because since she couldn't get the bike from him she cancelled the ride and it time stamp at that moment then she went and got another non-electric bike one min later. So she scan the bike but the boy was in the right and he didn't lie because he brought the bike from near where he lives and he only docked the bike to let it charge and. He was sitting on it while it was charging so it never left his possession, the bike was rightfully his and she was just trying to take it.

I'm not sure but I have a feeling this 17 years old does not respect female let alone pregnant woman. There are 2 kinds of ebikes. The newer models have a larger battery, but the original still goes 18 MPH. She had more options than he did. Uber/Cab/ Public transit. Fit or not, if those teens wanted to inflict harm, they could have. If she felt comfortable tussling over an ebike, I dont think I believe she felt threatened. She did the reservation prior to going down where the bikes where and it is my understanding that the way that the Reservation works is that it is for a specific bike, so she can't just grab another one. The reservation ensures that the bike will not be gone when she goes down to the rental rack. It is for a specific bike.

There’s a slight correction. It was on his account when he said that because he forcibly pushed her back into the docking station(which is technically assault) and scanned it while she was still on it. Nate the lawyer went through it and if you look carefully, this happens on video.
After she left, he redocked it and didn’t leave for another half hour, presumably while preventing anyone else from using it which is incredibly entitled behavior. Those who haven’t been pregnant can never understand how desperate she must have felt after a 12 hour shift. I can’t believe she worked that long in the first place.

He catches the fact that the boy had surreptitiously scanned the bar code after pushing the bike back on the rack, that’s why he has a scan at 7:25pm. The boys were exploiting the 45 minute limit on a discount low-income CITIbike program, by docking the bike and then blocking others from taking it, so they can take it again for another discounted 45 minutes. The specific bike is an eBike with a battery assist.
Being on a bike then suddenly surrounded by 5 people is quite frightening. Grabbing her and her bike and pushing her is assault. It is reasonable to believe that if this encounter was not being filmed, it could have ended in a pregnant woman, bloodied and dying, lying on the street. Just look at the marines in California who were surrounded by about 5 similar aged boys and beaten, kicked and nearly killed.
The woman apparently approached the boys, not the other way. I encourage you to do a little more research. This was a bike rental dispute handled very poorly by both pregnant women and boys. Nothing more.

People who are wrong are also notorious for making up false stories and presenting them as truth. Yup - i rode my 10-speed to work up to around my 6th or 7th month. At that point, my baby bump became uncomfortable during the act of pedaling the bike. It also threw me off balance, and the weight of the baby + contents of my uterus, was hurting my 118-lb body - namely, my lower back and abdominal muscles. Even that seemingly low amount of weight puts very uncomfortable pressure on your internal organs, too - esp while peddaling a bike. I was in the military and exceedingly fit before and throughout 3 pregnancies, and even i had to limit certain strenuous physical activities after a certain point.
Why people just gloss over this woman's physical encumbrances is a mystery to me (well - no it's no mystery - it's the ideology that promotes demonization of white people).

I think it was used to appease the RUclips overlords. There's certain words you cannot say and certain topics you can't discuss without being demonetized or be given a strike for it. They were purposefully breaking the rules by docking it BUT squatting… so nobody could rightfully take the bike. . Wrongfully claiming it even though it was docked so no one else could have it. They didn’t even ride the bike for about 40 min after the took it from the pregnant PA and forced her to redock it.

In a comment I read close to the time her lawyer disclosed her receipt, she had apparently booked the bike via the app as she was leaving the hospital. The app then allocated that particular bike as it was available.This would explain why she bee-lined towards it.

The reason why she wanted that specific bike is because they are the new kind that will assist you electrically. The other bikes that were available were the kind you need to pedal with no assistance. So instead of letting a pregnant woman use a bike that would have helped her that kid denied her the right that we all have to rent the bike. Also the hound man in the purple sweater gave his bike up and gave it to her. He’s literally telling his own friends that it isn’t that serious. I live in manhattan so I’ve seen how the teenagers hog these specific bikes. It doesn’t matter if they’re black , white, Asian or Hispanic. They hog the hell out of these bikes because of the electrical assist. Go to the dyckman or Washington heights area and you’ll see these bike’s literally chained up so no one can rent them. It’s the same with the bird scooters in Yonkers. They take the scooters and hide them in their back yards so no one can rent them. These are also the same people that take rocks and smash the living sh#t out of the scooters because destroying things is so much fun. I remember Yonkers used to have limecycles. Guess what happened. They discontinued them because the teenagers would throw the, into the Hudson River because it’s so much fun to destroy things.
