I love Damien’s reminiscing about how he used to cut up all the timber and load it by hand into trailers , as I said on another video last week I’m 27 years into tree work and we’re still doing it that way 😅
But I am positive that iffn y’all had the back saving equipment that August purchased with very hard income, you would feel so much younger every morning 😂. They are so good they make Everything look easy. Years and years of learning how to make it work that way. Clapton and Knopfler are the same, but us old farts who have paid our dues know the real price…….
Hey August, great video-lots of different footage in this one, good wrap up thoughts at the end as well. I just finished up dealing with a situation like this, thankfully no structures damaged though. -A massive red oak limb cracked off and landed in several smaller maples and a smaller white oak destroying them. Those smaller trees kept the big oak limb from crushing the garage though.
I completely agree, countless times I go bid a dead tree and it has clearly been dead for years. Then the homeowner says. "Yeah I just noticed it the other day." Haha. Anyway yall be safe. Catch you on the next one homie.
OH BOY! *AUGUST* is playing music through this one for us, imagine that! Know what I say, the way *AUGUST & CREW* master their art can always *be set to MUSIC* That's how great you've all always been! (Did I get that how you wanted it AUGUST?)
sooo jelly watching crane work! helping a friend with two HACKberries tomorrow and thought every few minutes last weekend as we brushed it out ... "sure be nice to have a crane"
Nothing beats an 'August Hunicke' YT video ! It's obvious, especially to LTVers, that August has a true genuine passion & enjoyment in making, editing and sharing these videos.
Good to see Jeff back aka hank...lol nicely done fellers nicely done. 👍 thanx for the axe videos Jeff really cool learning alot just from watching em...thanx stay safe climb on
Well you certainly put some time in on this production , with great results . Oh you got a mention on a Letsdig18 video , a buddy of his got a new chipper .
I call trees like that "hippos". They start as cute babies, you're proud of how fast they grow, now you're emotionally attached to a HIPPO in your yard
Interesting how trees give us such great life lessons eh August??? 😉 Always appreciate watching and listening to the upbeat mood you guys have while you work. I also appreciate how the MonkeyBeaver crew keeps on making the hard work look easy. Thanks for sharing and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy
In Australia big spreading Eucalypts are known to drop limbs in long hot summers. The get called Widowmakers. Despite the lure of shade you dont park, camp, or ever hang out under them. And fewer are seen in urban areas, replaced by smaller growing native trees.
August, I ordered a 2.0 harness and it didn’t come with a bridge and ring. I called the office and explained what I was missing, they had one shipped the next day. A++ for the customer service.
Are you ever sitting on the crane and using your drone for cool RUclips shots, but then you're also like, "oh! I can use this to see important stuff that I can't see when I'm sitting here in the crane!"
Presumably most trees would, without human intervention, have a support network of other trees encouraging growth in a sensible direction. They would have to prove themselves before joining their peers at the top, becoming a more upstanding member of the community in the process. It's the lonely tree given everything from the start that spreads their wings too wide reaching for the sun just to end like Icarus.
Most people don’t research different types of trees to learn their height and spread size. Some trees are shallow rooted and some deep. Either way my idea is plant trees away from homes by at least the maximum height so they won’t crash into you stuff. Most people are to lazy to do the research.
It's what I was firmly taught and it makes sense. As with motorcycle helmets, in adverse circumstances your lid goes flying or gets dislodged, or falls off if you slip and end up upside down, then it's useless. When you're working on the ground it's more about things falling on you or bashing into things and it's usually not far to reach down and pick it up. Working at height is another matter.
Funny, I am down with some sickness and so I'm watching some yt, this came up and I go doesn't the leaves come of the trees in wintertime at the Grants Pass, Oregon country??? Then I saw it was 5 months old :{)
Crane use is cheating.😊 Don't you have to communicate with the power company and even kill the power lines high voltage before work starts? High voltage can jump big air gaps just to find ground through a steel crane. Enlighten us on your preparation.

Mother Nature pruning can be brutal & messy!
Nothing beats an 'August Hunicke' YT video ! It's obvious, especially to LTVers, that August has a true genuine passion & enjoyment in making, editing and sharing these videos.
Self pruning is almost a desirable feature, until the pruned limbs come crashing through the roof
Good to see Jeff back aka hank...lol nicely done fellers nicely done. 👍 thanx for the axe videos Jeff really cool learning alot just from watching em...thanx stay safe climb on
Great intro music. The editing is really great also. I always enjoy your videos, it takes me back home to see the country

Sorry about that
@@AugustHunicke it’s all good. I don’t get butt hurt on stuff like this, we all humans and forget things. Let the MB team I said thank you though.
Already did 🤠
Enjoyed the video. Goes to show what happens when you neglect your trees. Nice rigging and craning. A1
great intro
Are you ever sitting on the crane and using your drone for cool RUclips shots, but then you're also like, "oh! I can use this to see important stuff that I can't see when I'm sitting here in the crane!"
Boy, one tree can sure do a lot of damage! Nice job, as usual👍👍

Is "Rambler" a Brand, or a nickname ? Love the philosophical ending!

That makes sense ❤
That is logic at best
I hate when butts fly in my face 😅😂
The moral of the story is have somebody prune you before you self prune.
Impressive and smooth, as always. Thank you for sharing. BTW I was squirming when I saw safety hats without the straps fastened...
Out of curiosity, why?

I see, yeah, I put the chinstrap on when I’m about to get wild. Besides that the hearing protection holds the hat on quite well.
Damien.
Nah, boredom beats too much excitement anyday.
Safety!
Besides, where would you rather be than up a tree on a nice day?
That dog gonna bite you!

I tell people all the time that trees not as old as you think it is , probably 60 to 80 years , oldest tree ive ever cut was 120 .
@26:30
nah man, i need all the prime footage for my work day
How tall is that Crain?
A-Team 3
Does anyone know if Adam is ok and if he still works for August
Been wondering the same thing. Such a hard worker.
Crane use is cheating.😊
